Daniel smiled as he walked into the library, feeling the sense of quiet peace wash over him. He always loved that feeling, it always relaxed him. He patted his pocket where his bag of holding lay, filled with the current books he was reading. He was flipping through a Halo novel at the moment, one he hadn't read in a while.

He froze when he saw a girl sitting in his usual chair in the corner. Not many people hung out in this corner, that's why he liked it. At least there was a second chair in the corner.

"Mind if I sit here?" He asked, quietly.

Daniel smiled, nodding. He inwardly felt relieved, since it meant he could sit in his favorite spot in the library. He'd been reading a lot of Spy and Crime fiction as of late, so sitting with his back to the wall put him at ease.

He sat down and pulled his bag of holding out of his pocket, frowning at finding it tangled. It sometime got bunched up in his pocket, balling up into a mound of cloth. With a sigh, Daniel unfolded it, letting it lay flat across his leg. He made sure there were no tears, before pulling one of his books out. It was an old book, but one he loved nonetheless. 'The Novice', a book by Trudi Canavan. It was the second of the Black Magician trilogy, and Daniels personal favorite of the three.

He flipped it open and began to read.

Daniel smiled as he read, the only sound the faint whisper of the pages of both Daniel and Zelda's books turning. Daniel's eyes flicked up when he heard her book snap close, the girls soft voice seeming to echo through the quiet corner.

Daniel marked his page with a tarot card he had found a few days ago, pressed between a pair of books he had checked out. The libriomancer smiled softly, and spoke.

"Yes? Did you need something?"

Daniel's face adopted a slightly wider smile when she asked about his book. He held it out for her to look at, allowing her to take it if she wished.

"The Novice, it's the second book of 'The Dark Magician' Trilogy by Trudi Canavan. It follows the adventures of a young woman named Sonea who develops magic powers. It's a really good series, and the books have a really interesting lore. I highly recommend it."

The boy explained. He loved this book, and was always happy to answer questions about it. Besides, this girl seemed to know books. Daniel got that kind of vibe from her.

"You could consider it young adults. It's an older novel, and falls prey to some of the older fantasy cliches, but I feel that Trudi Canavan does a lovely job of making a really unique world. She actually has a glossary of terms in the back of the book, and it includes slang and the worlds unique species and stuff. It's really creative, and I highly recommend giving it a read if you like fantasy."

Daniel explained, before cutting himself off when he realized he was rambling. He coughed, before chuckling nervously. "Ah, I was rambling wasn't I? And I forgot my manners..." He extended a hand to shake. "Daniel Silver, you can call me Danny."

Danny smiled and shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you Zelda. Sorry for rambling on about my book, i get carried away when I talk about books." He chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish grin.

"I love books, they're the reason i'm here actually." He commented, turning the book over in his hands, flipping through the pages. He relished the slight breeze he created by flipping the pages. "Heh, I'm rambling again, aren't I?"

Daniel nodded, feeling his nerves ease. It was strange how comfortable he was feeling.

"Yeah, This is actually my favorite spot in the school. This corner is always nice and quiet." He paused briefly, before adding. "And it occasionally makes for good conversation as well."

He grinned slightly, referring to the current conversation.

Daniel chuckled, looking up at the ceiling for a few moments before turning his attention back to Zelda.

"Eh, I've been reading a lot of crime novels lately, and it's got me a little paranoid." The student grinned. "That probably sounds a bit silly, now that I've said it out loud, heh."

Daniel shrugged. "Eh, I was just reading this book where the main character could read minds and this criminal organization was trying to kidnap them so they could use their powers for evil." Daniel explained.

"And...I dunno. I'm probably just being silly, but I've been feeling weird lately, like I've been being watched?" The boy frowned. "It's irrational, I know, but still."
