Library Buddies

Daniel glanced into her eyes, and chuckled nervously. Her stare was eerie, but Daniel just looked at his hands. He twiddled his thumbs, looking down.

"Well, I dunno. I guess it's just that feeling." He paused, thinking. "I don't think...I have any enemies but..." Daniel frowned, trying to find his words.

Daniel shook his head. "No...Not really. I just get really uneasy when it gets too quiet or if I use my power...I've been really reluctant to use it as of late." He admitted, chuckling.

"Sorry, i guess i've been dumping this all on you."

Daniel frowned for a moment, opening his mouth to speak. He stopped without saying anything, before repeating the process. It was always difficult to explain his ability.

"I...Well, uh...So I can..." He stammered, trying to make his thoughts words. After a few seconds, he sighed.

"What's your favorite book?" He asked suddenly, meeting her gaze.

Daniel frowned, before pulling his bag of holding out of his pocket. "Well, Uh. Have you ever read any of the Star Wars novels?" He asked, pulling out his trusty standby novel. He began to flip to the page he needed, waiting for her response.
