“Every angel is terrifying.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke, Duino Elegies

Landon stands at 5'7", but tends to come off much smaller due to his choice of oversized clothing. He has a baggy, winter hat that he always wears and has a preference for hoodies that fall well below his hips.

He is relatively fair skinned, with brown hair, and bright golden eyes. He would say there was nothing remarkable about himself. His face hasn't filled out yet, leaving him with far younger features than a boy of fifteen would normally have. His cheeks are full, his nose small, and his chin undefined. The most adult thing on his body is his sharp eyes. Landon's brown hair is wind struck and stops just at the chin. He doesn't bother doing anything to it besides a quick comb through once he's woken up.

Beneath his layers of clothing, Landon's muscle is wiry, still something he's growing into, nothing impressive. His arms are a tad longer seeming than they should be and his hands larger in proportion. He very much looks like the type of kid who could easily be bullied.

He has the habit of barely ever smiling, and his resting expression is something a little more forlorn, leaving people to believe he's upset or pouting when he's not. When that rare smile does grace his lips, however, Landon's entire face lights up, and his right dimple reveals itself.

He can't really pull off looking intimidating and even when he's frowning he gives off the approachable, trustworthy vibe.
“No problem is trivial to the angels. They want to help you with problems big and small. You are worthy and you are loved. And bottom line, if your problem is important to you, it's important to them” ― Eileen Anglin

Landon is a quiet boy, first and foremost. His silence can be mistaken for shyness, which isn't always accurate. He does have a level of social awkwardness and a manner of messing with his hat as a nervous habit. He's terrible at learning in structured environments, which has left the impress that he's slow to most of the student body and staff on campus.

He isn't particularly righteous or passionate about a lot. He keeps most of his opinions to himself and has patience to spare. A very helpful child, but one who becomes awkward when he's noticed as such. He's terrible with prolonged one-on-one conversations; generally speaking, Landon's face gives away what he's thinking. He's not a very good fibber.

Landon has a particular love for all things cute and soft. He likes blues and greens, baggy clothing, and fluffy animals. He has a constant childish wonder about everything he experiences, even if he's seen it one hundred times. He doesn't like loud noises, crowded places, or an excess of attention.

Often described as a kind but flighty child, Landon's personality and choice of clothing have him looking much younger than his actual age of fifteen. He's the kind of boy who would skip and take old retro lunchboxes to school. He has an old soul, with a love for black & white tv shows, oldie music stations, and board games.

Landon would very much define himself as a loner rather than a follower or a leader. He has no interest in partaking in people's childish pranks or causing any sort of trouble. He wants to stick to his own business, stay out of trouble, and ensure the people around him are well taken care of. His wants and needs are simple, minimalistic.
“But his eyes say what he can’t. I see it, clear as day, even if she doesn’t. He’d give up his wings for her. All she’d have to do is ask.” ― Lisa Desrochers, Personal Demons

“It is a curiosity of writing about angels that, very often, one turns out to be writing about men.” ― Donald Barthelme, Sixty Stories

COMBAT Enhanced Combat: Like his weakness detection, this is an inherent ability for Landon. As an Angel of the power circle, his job was to fight and protect, as such, he is exquisite at combat. Unfortunately, since his falling he has consciously forgotten that. Subconsciously, however, he can fight with the best of them. When his adrenaline kicks in, he moves without thinking about what he's doing. He's a machine, and his brain and heart have no place in the match.

Unfortunately, just like with his other ability, Landon himself would be surprised to see how well he fights. He doesn't think about it, and he doesn't understand any of the terminologies; because of this, Landon would be unable to teach anyone how to fight, as he only instinctively knows how to do so himself.

Weakness Intuition: Landon has the innate ability to find weak points in magic and people. This ability is only for the magical and the physical; he cannot tell weak points in a person's psyche and this ability only activates when in the heat of a fight, only to turn back off immediately once his adrenaline wears off. More often than not, Landon won't recall he knew someone's weak point. The knowledge doesn't stay with him.
EXTRASENSORY PERCEPTION Claircognizance: Frequently, Landon will get small tidbits of information about a person when he's been around them. Such as that they have a child, or that they're worried about a particular problem. They're little things and nothing complicated. Often, he believes they have told him this information or that he heard it somewhere else. This tends to work best when touching someone, and unfortunately, Landon has no control over the information he'll be given or when it will happen. When touching an object of extreme sentimental value, he may understand who the object belonged to and what made it important.

Threat Detection: Landon possesses a form of danger perception wherein he can tell when bad things are about to happen, but not what they are. This is limited to physical problems and only when they will occur in his immediate area. For instance, if someone were about to jump him, he would intuitively step out of the way (assuming he could).

SPECIES ABILITIES As an Angel, Landon heals faster on Holy Ground. Due to his fallen status, he has no increased senses or bodily functions, though he is harder to taint or mentally control than the average person. Good emotions, like love and protecting the innocent have a way of bringing him power and determination. Landon can fight most corruption magic so long as he maintains his hope and the idea that the world has excess love to give.
WEAKNESSES Mortal Coil: Like any mortal, Landon is capable of feeling like a human, but due to his previous Angel status, there is an emptiness in him, certain small things he doesn't understand. This could be the reason for his social awkwardness.

Fallen: As a fallen Angel, Landon does not have the support of Heaven, nor any of the resources they would have provided. That isn't particularly terrible to him yet, as he doesn't recall having been an Angel.

Reborn: Landon was reborn into the body of a stillborn when he fell. Due to this, he hasn't retained the knowledge of his past life and abilities. Similar to other incarnation stories, he does have some intuitive understanding for things he was skilled at previously, but it's nothing concrete. While he could be considered an adult, he doesn't recall ever being one.

Wingless: As of right now, Landon has no angel form. He's wingless, half of his soul (the half that made him divine) is gone. If he were to find it, wherever it might be, he could potentially gain his Angelic form and abilities back. Unfortunately, because half his soul is gone, his immortality left with it. He can die and stay dead like any mortal, just as he can be wounded or sickened like any human.

“The universe speaks to us, if we have the courage to see it for what it is.” ― Nikki Rowe

Landon, in reality, is a Fallen Angel Reborn into a stillborn child when he fell. Unfortunately, he can't recall this part of his life. Thus, Landon believes himself human and wouldn't know why it was that he fell in the first place.

He was reborn to a family in England and brought to Manta Carlos around five when his parents realized his abilities. They opted not to move there with him, unable to just pick up and leave their lives in England.

Landon has lived in the dorms of Starlight Academy ever since. His life has been more or less uneventful, and he believes that he is only a magically-abled human.
“You want to put people in neat categories, make them monsters or angels, but it almost never works that way. You work in the gray and frankly that kinda sucks. The extremes are so much easier.” ― Harlan Coben

“Angels are just beyond us. They’re creatures that biology doesn’t apply to. They don’t love humanity at all. They just love God.” ― Thomm Quackenbush, Flies to Wanton Boys
In school he's thought to be a slow, but sweet child. Not much else is said about Landon, as he tends to mind his own business.
