"People," Adelaida said jokingly, though her delivery was as dry as ever.

After a few moments of silence, she added, "I normally just read or write, because I haven't made a lot of friends yet. Don't get me wrong, acquaintances and the other friends, I've got, but not a lot of people to chill out with and talk."

Another few moments of silence passed, before she thought of a question. "If I had people to go with I'd probably like some sorta board game."

The joke hit Aura like an awkward bomb. She stopped walking entirely and her face went red. "I um, guess I walked right into that one." After recovering from the unexpected answer she hurried to catch back up.

"I used to read a lot of books and listen to a lot of music while I was in um, treatment. I guess it was kind of an escape. Maybe that's why I like working at Club Orpheus. Plenty of live music while I work." She smiled genuinely. "Not sure if I really have the patience for some kinds of boardgames, but I also haven't really tried too many either. Was that um, you asking for someone to hang out with?"

Adelaida stared her companion in the face and gave as warm a smile as her cold face could handle. "Not really, but I won't say no," she said.

Instead, she felt an interest in how someone who seemed to go to great lengths to conceal parts of herself could handle working in such a public place.

"I think I'd rather just pop by the club, see what goes on in there, maybe say hi..."

Aura froze again for a second before she kicked the social side of her brain back onto track. "Oh. Of course you could come to the club, although I would um, be less able to talk then probably. It gets kinda busy depending on the night."

She resumed walking with her newfound sorta-friend and she looked around. "Plenty of um, other people to meet there though. And like I said, live music is kind of a focus there. If you're into that."

Adelaida hummed a brief tune, though not quite right. She never really had a musical leaning, despite her appreciation of the arts.

"Here's a bit of a weird idea. Think they're open? We should drop by, see how it goes."

She checked in her pocket for a bit. There was enough in her wallet for a night out, and she was awake enough for a more active night. The only question was if this companion was willing. If she wasn't... well, there wasn't really much at stake.

Aura thought long and hard about that. The club was undoubtedly still open for at least a while left that night but she hadn't really been there much off the clock. Especially lately, with all the weirdness she'd been feeling. But it was nice making friends so she was torn.

So she answered with a non-answer and excuse. "Um," she said finally as she looked down at her tanktop and shorts. "I'm not really um, dressed right for that. The dress code isn't strict but..." she shrugged. "I guess i'd um have to go change first?"

"We can do that... it seems fine. Lead the way," Adelaida said, not realizing most people are unlikely to allow someone they just met into their house. Or perhaps, she wasn't interested in paying attention to social norms at the moment.

She herself wasn't dressed for a club night out, but it wasn't so hard for her to get dressed. If necessary, she was willing to go naked, covered in nothing but fire.

But maybe being hot at a club wasn't a good idea. Reason was tired at this point. Adelaida stifled a yawn, and looked up at the sky. Her body was fine, but the mind was tired at the moment and wanted a different release.

Aura again paused. She seemed nice enough but... ah. It probably wouldnt hurt to be friendly and show her the club.

"Um, I live at the school dorms. So I guess you could um wait outside there when we get back there. It um, wont take long." She rubbed at her wrist again and began leading the way at a healthy pace. Perhaps enhanced by the awkward nervous energy.

Fortunately she knew her way back quite well. Including the best shortcut paths to take through the area. "You um, sound kind of tired."

"Sorry about that, I try not to let it slip... I'm always tired. The Living Flame is exhausting to deal with, and when I'm busy or occupied, I get less tired because it's in the backburner." Adelaida yawned, and smiled. "I get my energy from doing things, which is... against physics, as far as I know. But that's how I am."

Adelaida did as told, and sat down on the steps outside. She needed some sort of distraction from the voices while waiting, so she took to dancing a slow waltz, with a partner made of red flame.

Hopefully, no one minded.

Aura popped up to her dorm room to get changed. Although really she was just putting the dress in over her tank top and shorts. She chose a fairly simple but nice dark blue dress and shifting her hair to a nice blue-green color. Deciding to show some courage though she put her hair up, letting the grey, alien side of her face show. Eldritch eyes and small grey facial tendrils included. She did not however do anything with makeup. Fearing she would botch that horribly without her girlfriend's help.

Aura hurried back down to meet her new friend but paused on the stoop as she noticed the impromptu dance number. She waited for a moment than decided it was ok to interrupt. "Um, I'm ready if you are. That's um, a fancy dance partner you have." She laughed a little and smiled toothily at the scene.
