Adelaida knew what it felt to be a bundle of nerves, too tightly wound up to enjoy things. Though her reasons were entirely different, the feeling was always the same. A ball of nerves, whose every step was on eggshells.

At the very least, she wanted this night to be enjoyable. Life was hardly something you could enjoy being that tense, so it was nice to see there was loosening up going on.

"You know, you had this twinkle in your eye when you mentioned having a girlfriend. You must be really into her," Adelaida said, trying to prod a little before they got into the club.

Aura's cheeks flushed once more as pink tinged skin revealed the answer long before she could reply. She buried her face in her hands as they drew close to the club and paused before they got to the door. "Um, yeah. She's really cute and gentle with me and um... I feel safe when she holds me." She managed to gush out through her hand-covered mumblings.

Gods, why was she sharing so much with a relative stranger. Oh well. she took a deep breath and centered herself before lowering her hands again and forcing herself to look Adeaida in the eyes. "So um, maybe we should do the dancing thing so i dont keep... having to hide my face in embarassment?"

Adelaida took the lead, even though her dancing skills were less than stellar. She began a slow waltz to the loud music and took the role of the lead, turning Aura around on the floor.

"Not exactly what you'd have in mind at a club, but it's what I know... 'sides, it's nice and classy."

She looked around, listening to the dance music and watching everyone else dance "properly" - a frenetic energy that she didn't quite have. Being awake was tiring enough. She couldn't stretch her reserves as much as these others did.

Aura followed along, fairly unfamiliar with the steps involved in a waltz but at least she was reasonably ok on her feet. Her face tightened and wrinkled just a little beneath the one visible eye as she concentrated on not stepping on toes.

Quite honestly it didnt really fit the music very well. It kept throwing her off as the beat of the song failed to really fit the steps of their dancing. "Um, I could try to lead? I've um, seen plenty of people dancing here before. I've heard if you close your eyes and just listen to the music you'll be ok."

She laughed and leaned in to whisper though, "I um think that's a lie though. I tried it and only ended up bumping into everyone." And worse, actually. But she wasnt in the mood to overshare quite that much about her more inhuman tendancies.

Alright, partner it was.

Adelaida shifted and paused to signal that she was ready to be led. The beat of the music pounded in her ears, and for a moment the fires wanted to be let out and follow the rhythm, but she kept it fully inside.

She didn't have two left feet, but she did have very little experience actually dancing. Then again, at the club, dancing was ninety percent confidence.

And Adelaida, for all her exhaustion, was definitely confident. She began to dance more appropriately for the setting, arms thrown up, hips swaying side to side.

Aura wasnt exactly brimming with confidence. There was no doubt about that. But she had months of working at this very club, watching everything as she served her customers. And she had plenty of nervous energy to burn. Down to her very molten core.

She kept her arms to herself but she did surreptitiously allow small eyes to sprout on the back of her neck at the edge of her hairline to help keep track of how much space she had to move in. It took a few solid minutes of awkward dancing to find her own rhythm with the music but eventually she let a little smile cross her lips and let herself relax into the dancing.

"You know you're um, pretty good at this," she offered, probably a little quieter than she should have considering the crowd, and then Aura guided the two of them deeper into the crowd of dancing bodies and closer to the speakers.

"What? I can't hear you," Adelaida yelled over the din of the clubroom. She lied; she could hear just fine, but something about her companion's tension made her feel that she should try and get her to talk a little more, a little louder.

She danced with as much vigor as she could. While normally very exhausted, Adelaida was good at riding out waves of momentum, gaining energy from acting.

"It's a pretty nice place. It was a good idea for us to come here," she yelled again, now that they were next to the speakers.

Aura let out an annoyed growl as someone else nearly bumped into her suddenly but she hurried to cover her mouth and slipped around to the other side of Adelaida to avoid an incident. She wasn't really all that tired out but her nerves were a little too on edge to fully relax.

"It's a great place to um, work," she called out louder with the increased noise from the nearby speakers. "And to relax too I guess. Um, i'm not sure pushing this far in was a good idea after all..." She had meant to make it easier to lose themselves in the music but her ears were ringing and it was giving her a headache.

Adelaida, though fine with the music, was not completely blind. She noticed discomfort, and immediately moved to assuage it. She took the lead, grabbing Aura firmly by the hand and taking her to a nearby standing table.

She pushed through the crowd with precision, blocking the nearby dancers and pushing them away from her companion to keep the path as unobstructed as possible.

"I think I want a drink. Let's cool it a little, calm down a bit?" she asked, making sure she did not let it slip that she was moving to accommodate Aura. The poor girl was so tightly-wound that doing so would probably make her feel worse.

However, she couldn't bottle it all in.

"You okay?"

Aura let out a tiny little yelp of surprise but went along with Adelaida's lead, allowing herself ot be pulled off to the table on the side of the room. Cringing a little as the path was forged through the other dancers.

She slowly nodded once they were somewhat clear of the crowd enough to speak again. "I um, hear things like a wolf so it was a little loud for me there. And um... unexpected touching throws me off some. It makes me anxious that I might lash out accidentally."

Aura sighed and shrugged. "I'm um ok. And a drink would be ok for me too but... only plain vodka with no mixer. It's really um important I don't have anything with sugar in it"
