I've Never Been The New Girl Before

Wind felt his hand on her back and then relaxed and felt the anxiety slowly slip away. She whispered,
"Thanks. For everything. I'm not sure how you got me calmed down so fast, but it must be useful, having a power like that."
She stood up and noticed they were right next to the door to her new dorm room. She set her bag down and took out her key.
(OOC: Do they have keys? I'm not sure.)
IC: She said,
"Thanks, Lelei. Do you know if I'll have a roommate or not? I've never shared a room with anyone except my siblings before."
She stood there, hand on the doorknob, wondering if she should invite him in or if that would just freak out her roommate, if they were here yet.

He snickered at the assumption that he had some empathetic power.

"Oh, that was now power, Miss Wise. That's just the calming effect of a close friend at your side."

Lelei could see that he just might have a little pet project on his hands with Wind. The poor girl seemed so lost and flustered by the situation and her own powers. If he could just give her an ounce of his own confidence and inner strength, she would be fine. But that would take some work.

He set down the luggage he had been carrying next to Wind.

"Generally students seek out their own roommates. So you're probably by yourself in here until you find someone yourself.

I don't want to intrude, so do you think you'll be fine from here?"

They probably have keys. In general, we don't have a lot of concrete rules, so if you want to make up something, go ahead.

(OOC: Ooh, ok! I like that!)

IC:
"Yeah, I think I can take it from here, Lelei," Wind replied, opening the door and setting her bags down inside the doorway.
"I hope I find someone nice to be my roommate. I wouldn't want to share with a mean girl. I'd crack, real quick."
She stood in the doorway.
"Thanks again for everything. You definetly made my introduction to this school a little easier. Um, I'd better unpack now, so I guess I'll see you around school somewhere. Talk to you later, right?"
She smiled at him. She really liked Lelei.

(OOC: So, I guess maybe one or two more posts and then I'll have to have Wind's first day of school on her own. Lelei can't be there all the time. But, Critical, you can PM me anytime. I'll be glad to talk that way, too!)

"Take your time finding a good room mate, Miss Wise. My advice: Find someone who will also work with you on school work."

He did one last favor for her, and helped Wind get all of her luggage into her new dorm room. Lelei just hoped she would be fine trying to find a room mate by herself, given her few misgivings while they were together. The feeling was quickly pushed aside. He needed to believe in her, and he would!

"I too hope to see you around the Academy. Perhaps I'll see you in one of my classes when I have sign-ups for them again. Good luck to you in the coming days."

With one last bow and a smile, Lelei turned and left, silently wishing her the best of luck in and around the Academy.
