“Are you sure it’s pretty? Or are you just saying that because you know that’s what I want to hear?â€Â
Allen thought for a few minutes on that question. "To be honest, I'm not certain," he told her. It was kind of pretty... but at the same time, he knew she wanted him to think that it was. "So, ehh... just take that answer as whatever you want it to mean."
“He promised too.... and then he never came back. And when he did finally come back... He disappeared again.â€Â
The knight's eyes went wide in disbelief. Did he have to kick someone else's butt now?! What was wrong with the people in this world that they promised one thing and then did another? Eyes narrowed a bit in anger and he sighed. "He doesn't sound like he's worth your disappointment," Allen told her. "So why even bother? If something isn't worth it, then you should just say goodbye to it."
“But isn’t that what makes us unique? Are our own little flaws and quirks? I don’t think we’d be very interesting if we were perfect.â€Â
He shrugged his shoulders. Acceptance probably was a better term, and she did have a point. "I suppose," he said to her. "Perfection is boring. I'll never understand why so many people strive for it..."
“I suppose it’s now time for me to let you in on what I know about myself. Though, I have to warn you, I’m still very uncertain of a lot of my history.â€Â
The immortal nodded at her statement, leaning against one of the trees she had woven the hammock between. He looked at her, deciding he had to be patient for this, since he had a feeling it was going to be rather long. "Do start telling," Allen said. "If you're unsure about what happened, then just skip over it."
