Nat simply smiled back, sipping her drink, watching Rada over the rim of her glass, considering how to proceed. Rada wasn’t going to casually spill the beans on the Volkovs over a few drinks, she’d come her knowing that, but she felt she was starting to get a grip on who the woman herself was. That was valuable in its own way.
She would need something else if she wanted to get the information out of Rada. Leverage, something she wanted, something that Nat would need to find elsewhere.
For now, Nat settled by procuring a card from a pocket in her coat.
“Well, if you ever find that what you want outgrows what your family wants, feel free to give me a call.” She slid the card across the table, leaving it sitting in front of her, her number written on it. “I think there are things I could do to help you out, and there are things I think you can help me with too.”
She put her glass back down, both hands resting on the table.
“Or, if you want to make a social call, that’s fine too.” She inclined her head slightly, shooting her a sultry gaze, body language open, like an invitation. “I think I could find time for that as well.”
