Ah, the new year. There was something about this time of year, when people were frantically trying to pull off their decorations from their houses, shops and well, themselves. It felt like chaos, which made Lucy thankful that she wasn't as festival as the rest of the island. She knew that she would be a lot more in the spirit if she actually had someone to celebrate with. Ever since she had came to this island, she had spent most of her days alone. Yes, she had made a few fighting buddies and a few love interests, but nothing that really lasted.
As she reached the last step before the rooftop, she put her beat up hand on the knob and turned it, slowly. Hearing a rather high pitch creaking sound come from the door frame, she wanted to plug her ears. Bearing through it as she pushed the door open at a faster rate, she stopped when she had enough room to get through without it looking awkward. At that moment, the thought of closing the door didn't appeal to her. Lucy didn't want to have to deal with the loud noises that came with her exerting her energy. Standing there, she turned her head to the left, and then the right. In her view, there was no one to be seen. It was kind of sad in a way, as one of her goals was to get into more fights with people. Lucy wanted to expand her fighting styles as well as enhance her healing abilities.
As she walked further out, she stopped at the edge of the large concrete half wall that surrounded the roof. It wasn't much of a safety precaution, as really anyone could just step over it. Scoffing at the thought, she leaned her elbow on the ledge as she stuck her butt out, popping her right hip as she stood up almost in a horizontal line as he gazed out at the island. It was such a pretty view, with everything still covered with snow and ice.
