Ah, the new year. There was something about this time of year, when people were frantically trying to pull off their decorations from their houses, shops and well, themselves. It felt like chaos, which made Lucy thankful that she wasn't as festival as the rest of the island. She knew that she would be a lot more in the spirit if she actually had someone to celebrate with. Ever since she had came to this island, she had spent most of her days alone. Yes, she had made a few fighting buddies and a few love interests, but nothing that really lasted.

As she reached the last step before the rooftop, she put her beat up hand on the knob and turned it, slowly. Hearing a rather high pitch creaking sound come from the door frame, she wanted to plug her ears. Bearing through it as she pushed the door open at a faster rate, she stopped when she had enough room to get through without it looking awkward. At that moment, the thought of closing the door didn't appeal to her. Lucy didn't want to have to deal with the loud noises that came with her exerting her energy. Standing there, she turned her head to the left, and then the right. In her view, there was no one to be seen. It was kind of sad in a way, as one of her goals was to get into more fights with people. Lucy wanted to expand her fighting styles as well as enhance her healing abilities.

As she walked further out, she stopped at the edge of the large concrete half wall that surrounded the roof. It wasn't much of a safety precaution, as really anyone could just step over it. Scoffing at the thought, she leaned her elbow on the ledge as she stuck her butt out, popping her right hip as she stood up almost in a horizontal line as he gazed out at the island. It was such a pretty view, with everything still covered with snow and ice.

Aeon stood proudly on top of the highest part of the roof--the structure above the door leading to the roof. Chest puffed out, her weapon strapped to her back, she looked out to the campus. Her eyes were attentive as she scanned the campus carefully, eyes peeled for any suspicious activity. Her father had told her it wasn't necessary, but she benefited from this exercise of constant vigilance.

Arms crossed, she looked down as the door opened with a loud, pained creak.

From her perspective, it looked like she was just a woman with red hair, not quite able to tell anything more about her. She watched her as she walked all the way to the edge of the half-stone wall and leaned over almost to a ninety degree angle.

The unicorn blinked placidly before finally letting out a sigh and jumping down from her perch, levitating herself down so she touched the ground silently. Aeon really wasn't trying to sneak up on her, but the last thing she needed was more noise disrupting the nice serenity of the roof.

She crossed her arms and was quiet for a moment before she cleared her throat to get her attention.

"You shouldn't be standing so close to the edge." Aeon stated very matter-of-factly. "It's dangerous, you know."

The view was still breathtaking. Lucy had been up there so many times in the past, even so, every time was like the first. She wasn't much for trying to find the beauty in life, but looking out at everything that the highness could see, put her at ease. Maybe it was because most people minded their own business while up here, coming here for the view rather than a chat.

Maybe her statement was wrong. Her back shivered as someone was behind her, talking such, confident words to her. She half turned her body, then orbited her head over to the girl. "And you would know because?" She loathed the girls' tone, as if her words were trying to move her body away. Of course, she couldn't be swayed by such bold directions. Lucy had no boss, no partner, no one who could tell her what she had to do. "Do you own this ledge, or are you concerned for my well-being?"
