She took the food given to her, and took a bite of it, chewing it a bit resentfully.

"What did Armand do to you? Did he try to kiss you?"

Had it been a normal day, she would have laughed in the cook's face, but she didn't. She just turned icy eyes on him, and purposefully took another bite so as not to answer him. But it didn't appear that he needed her replies to continue speaking.

"Heh... Guess he's not as dreamy with girls as we all thought. So did he even try to make a move or no? He's always so army centered, I guess that's what you get when you have no parents and are brought up by the General of the army. He even shines his shoes each day, most just do it when it's needed. He does everything by the book. He never brings his girlfriends to any social events, heh... it's got to be impossible for a guy like that to not have one. Or maybe that's why he's such a bookhead."

About half way throug his schpeil, Frankie clenched her fists, trying hard not to whirl on this annoying guy. When he finished though, she couldn't hold her frustration in any more. Her reaction was quick, and surprisingly strong. She pulled him to his feet and slammed him against the wall, one hand at his neck, and the other disabling his arms. "Look. My father just put a price of at least a million dollars on my death. I almost collapsed from not eating, and you had to give me a FREAKING NEEDLE." she raised her voice to a sturdy yell for her last words. "Now, I've promised not to leave, so will you please SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" with that, she released her hold and shoved him back into his seat, taking her food and moving as far away from the annoying cook as possible.

"Gee... Lieutenant sure has a violent taste in women..." He said with a chuckle. He had been more than a cook, though a woman's anger didn't compare with the anger of on the battle field. Though when they started sending women out to war it began to get more violent for a man unless a woman was protecting him.

The cook was injured when he refused to shoot a woman enemy because she was a woman. He believed women deserved respect, and he was only teasing about the Lieutenant. Though he wondered how the Lieutenant was going to deal with this spitfire of a girl. He went into the cooking area preparing a sundae and a smoothie which he then put on the side of her then moved to the opposite side of the table so she would be comfortable.

"You know... out of all the men in the army I have the outmost faith in the Lieutenant, he'll protect you for sure. Ya know he'd give his life for his mission or even a person who's innocent. He's the best trained he follows miltary way of keeping in mission. He's never had a real life, the General sent him to go to school of some sort so he could get used to the normal life so he'd be able to choose which he'd furfill his future in. The General knows he could die young in the miltary with the amount of commitment he has. He also knows that his re-election is in a few years and at the rate the Lieutenant is going he could run the whole thing in a few years." He said with a chuckle, "Well I've gotta prepare food for fifty men which eat like 200 men..." He said with a sigh getting up, "The Lieutenant should be back soon."

She listened to the man. It was confusing to her, his kindness. This day was just not going well. She sat at the table, and crossed her arms on the surface, watching the cook with a confused look on her face.

She involuntarily sniffled. It threw her off, this man being so outward about being kind to her. She felt prompted to say something, and so she forced them out, "Thank..you." she said weakly, in a voice that was barely above a whisper, "For not forcing the issues." she closed her eyes, and put her head in her crossed arms, silent tears exiting her eyes.

He smiled, "Enjoy your meal." He said walking back into the cooking area preparing the meal for the night. He knew it'd be nothing as good as she tasted. Seeing the solders usually got less great tasting food so as to encourage them to not get too fat. He worked keeping a occaisonal eye on her to make sure she didn't leave. But he needed to finish his work too so he wasn't going to hover around her making her feel weird.

The Lieutenant came back he moved to her side placing two fresh guns with ammo beside her on the table. He was wearing school clothes as if he was a normal boy, he had three guns hidden on him as well as other supplies. He had the Corporal equipt him with some 'special' stuff. He was all ready to take the girl back to the dorm, he had arranged the ability to stay outside overlooking her room. He'd inform her that she could change in the privacy of the bathroom so he could keep 24/7 watch over her except for bathroom breaks and such.

"I'll be watching you 24/7 you can sleep at ease, I'll be watching you from your window. The Headmistress understood it was a matter of life and death she told me you can change in the bathroom during these times until the situation with your Honest-Abe blows over." He said uniformly like he was a machine, he never seemed embarassed or feeling about things. He often seemed very distant and cold.

Frankie raised her head and looked at him, face clear of tears, solid with dislike. She flicked her eyes over to the guns, and picked one up, expertly loading it. She stood then, the gun turning invisible in her hands. She stuck that one against the small of her back, though it wasn't visible. She took the second one and loaded it quickly again. She turned that one invisible, and placed it in it's spot.

She looked at Armand again. "Fine. Let's go." she said cooly, desperately trying to keep control of her emotions, that were riding just on the surface. She snorted then. "Great. Hunted by every assassin and I get my own personal stalker." She picked up the smoothie that the Cook had made for her and began to drink it.

She pulled her hair up into a pony tail, trying to figure out what to do. "It's stupid to go back. That's where they're gonna go. If I go back, I'm just going to be a sitting duck for their attacks." she said directly, her calculating mind kicking into gear.

"I'm sorry that your in this situation, it's completely my fault and you have all the right to hate me. I'll try to stay out of your way." He said with a slight bow of the head, he wasn't going to let himself like her or get attached to his subject. His only objective was to protect her and her only.

"It's stupid to go back. That's where they're gonna go. If I go back, I'm just going to be a sitting duck for their attacks."

"I actually secured your dorm room and set up a few alarms, a security camera is outside your door at a angle anyone that enters would have their face recorded and I set up a tv in your room so you can see them. I'll be outside your window so you'll be safe from both angles. Alarms are on the walls, windows, and doors. I don't know about people who have the ability to pass through walls but I installed motion detectors incase someone were to try. These detectors will be activated when your asleep by the weight on your bed. So that any movement other than you would set the alarm off immediately waking you up and I'd know there was another presence and be able to assist."

He said informing her, "I ensure you it'll be safer at your dorm than a hotel because you can't set up that much security elsewhere. Besides the dorms have more people around and the possiblity of help in a dire situation would be easier to find. They don't know much about the dorms so it's best to have main headquarters where they aren't used to." He said this all very sure of his measures of protection. Though one might think it was a little overthetop.

TIMEJUMP!!

She walked up to her dorm room, and unlocked it. "This works. I guess." she mumbled, stepping across the threshold, and shutting and locking the door before he could follow her.

She took her hair out of her ponytail, letting the lavender fall around her shoulders. She pulled one of her guns, and did a sweep of her dorm, making sure everything was safe. She returned to her bed, and slipped a gun under her pillow, flopping onto her bed with her back facing the window.

She could hear the rain pattering against her window, and a small smirk found it's way onto her face for a moment. She relaxed into her pillow then, and allowed herself to cry. She was silent, but her shoulder's shook with obvious sobs. She drew her knees to her chest, and tried to focus on the discomfort she was causing her stupid captor.

"This works. I guess."

He left her side and immediately went to the tree climbing it. The rain was quite light at first, slowly growing harder, until it was a hard pouring. He held onto the tree with his legs, while his eyes kept on the room and his ears on his surroundings. He sat there the water drenching through his clothing, but he had to sit there. He had to protect her, he was only in a shirt and pants. He had no plain school boy jackets or coats to keep him from getting wet as much. So the boy was quite soaked by the rain. Not to mention it was a cool night making it even worse. But he was used to battle fields and long nights sitting in the trench. He supposed he could manage, he noticed her crying but he couldn't do anything. He was merely a officer of the Army.

After a long time of the rainfall the bark grew slippery, and he nearly fell off the branch. He managed to catch himself before he fell 20 feet. He slowly climbed up the slippery tree regaining his position. He kept his watch, his look wasn't helpless but that of a sturn miltary man.

She'd drifted off to sleep, when she heard a strange noise out her window. She sat up with her gun, only to find that he was pulling himself back up onto his branch. She sighed, rubbing her slightly tearstained slightly.

She got out of bed and crossed to her closet, pulling out a heavy blanket, and a strange mat. She draped both over her arm, and crossed to the window. She opened it, and climbed easily, in a cat like manner onto the ledge. She held out the blanket to him, and then the mat. "The mat's for underneath you. It'll stick to the bark so you don't fall off." she said dully, her Brooklyn accent giving her words a bit of a lilt.

She pulled back into the window, shaking the water out of her hair. She moved over to the microwave she'd brought from Brooklyn. She mircowaved a cup, and after about 5 minutes she had a steaming cup of tea. she placed a lid on it, and moved back over to the window. She did the similar catlike motion, and held the tea out to him. "Tea, to keep you warm. I'd hate to have you get sick." she said dully again, though her hatred for him getting sick was more that she didn't want to take care of him than anything..

"The mat's for underneath you. It'll stick to the bark so you don't fall off."

He looked at her confused, he took the mat setting it underneath him. He didn't know why she was helping him, she afterall said she wanted him to die. Why would she make it so he wouldn't? He took the offered things. "Thank you Ma'am, I'm sorry for the inconvenience." He said with a bow of his head.

"Tea, to keep you warm. I'd hate to have you get sick."

He took the tea shocked that the girl was being so nice to him. He bowed his head again, "Thank you." He wasn't a man for tea, but he figured he'd drink it because of the thought seeing she was trying to be nice and all. He looked at her, he knew the fact people were going to be trying to kill her probably was the biggest factor in her crying. The needle was probably another. He didn't know what to say to help her, other than to just be there and protect her.
