Cordelia had, in fact, felt the rips and the like in his clothing. She would have to deal with that, even if it meant buying him clothes herself. Too bad her own male clothes or Suna's probably wouldn't fit him. Oh, well.

"Alright. What time does your dad get home?" she asked. She had to know so she could make arrangements for her own son so someone could watch him. She could make it up to the boy later.

The boy looked down hating getting this much help. "12...but im fine here alone." He wispered hoping she would just leave...he really was but he did truly doubt that she would belive that he could because of his size.

Cordelia blinked. Twelve... as in midnight? She stared at him, then nodded. Alright. She could do that. She had enough money to pay a babysitter for that long. "Alright. I need to talk to him, so I'll just stay here, if that's ok." She offered a smile. "You want to start working on school work?"

The mother shook her head. She was intent on helping him, as both a parent and as a teacher at the academy. "You're completely capable of doing this work," she told him. "Come on. I believe you can do it, you just need to think a little bit harder. Let's go, come on." She started getting up, though not completely. If she had to force him to do it, she would.

Force could be her best friend at times.

"I dont want to fail again...so why give myself that option?" He asked looking away from her not wanting to face her as he said it since he never did pass to this day.

"By never trying you may never pass," she told him. "Everything you do, you either fail or succeed at. Well, most things. You have to give yourself the option or you'll never know what could have happened." She wondered how someone so young could already have such a firm thought on things, and be so defiant. It seemed that she would find out eventually, though.

"Ill show you." He said as he shadowed his eyes and went into a closet with a note book full of papers...each one was a test or score on home work all added to nothing above 60. so he had about a 57 average and only a full 100 would bring it up to passing...
