Catherine sighed when he glared at her. "Come on. I'll help you. It's really easy once you get the hang on it," she told him. She didn't want him to fail; this was way too easy to be failing. He needed help and she was willing, and wanted, to give it. She didn't understand why he wouldn't just let her.

"Pick your head up and let me help you," she said when he put his head down on the desk. "This is too easy for you to just not care."

He didn't respond and kept his head on the desk. She was the only one who actually gave a care what happened to him. And he really didn't know how to respond so he acted the way he always did hoping that the bell would ring soon so that she could stop trying to talk to him.

Catherine bit her lip. He still didn't care... she was about to say more when the teacher interrupted. "Alright, class. We'll take a break and then start reading."

The girl's eyes widened in horror. Reading... oh, no, no!! She gulped, then went back to her seat, trying to remain calm. There was no way she was going to be able to do this. She sat down and put her math book away, beginning to bite her nails in worry.

Soahc didn't really seem to care still as his head was still down as he waited for the break to end and the next class to begin not caring if anyone tried to bother him he would probably just ignore them as always.

In a few minutes, the break had ended. "Alright. Let's all take out our literature textbooks and turn to make 108. We'll all take turns reading out loud."

Catherine nearly died with that said. She hoped that she wouldn't get called on... she would only end up embarrassing herself. She wished Alexiel was there to help her. She then took out the book and turned to the page, trying to hide her distress.

He opened his torn up book just like the last one and looked at the page. Reading was always something he was good at probobly the only thing. He didn't really care if he was called on he would just act like he couldn't do it since he was probably being held back unless he got an A by the end of this marking period.

"Catherine, do you want to start?"

Catherine's face paled and she swallowed. She nodded, looking at the words on the page for a few moments before she started reading. She was stuttering and pronouncing a lot of the words wrong, and sometimes there was a rather long pause between one word and the next.

She definitely needed to work on it.

Soahc noticed no one seemed to laugh at her whenever she never made a mistake. He kept it to himself knowing it was pointless to bring his thoughts into public as he looked away from her a few moments later.

It took a while, but Catherine finally finished the paragraph. By the time she had finished her face was bright red from embarrassment and she looked down, biting the inside of her lip.

The girl next to her offered a smile. "It's ok. I could help you with it later if you want," she said quietly.

Catherine's face brightened and she nodded her head. The girl was one of the ones that had been making fun of Soahc, but she needed friends and she seemed nice, so why not?

"Soahc, could you read the next paragraph?" the teacher asked, looking at him. He was rather anti-social, so she wanted to have him participate.

He didn't want to be made fun of so when he stand he read it surprisingly well for his age level and finished after only 30 secounds however every word was right an on target
