Catherine soon got halfway through the chapter with Alexiel's help. he fourteen-year-old was a speed reader, even though she didn't read much. With her help the younger female would be a professional soon, hopefully.

Alexiel exited the room and looked at Jira. "She's better now. And I'm helping her with reading, so all is well, I think," she told him. Hopefully he would at least care, though it wouldn't surprise her much if he didn't. He was Jira, after all.

"Good." He said now looking threw a near by news paper...he was circling various odd job seekers similar to himself and his computer had plenty of bookmarks one of them being SA because he didn't know how to accidently take it off when he almost looked up himself ((XD!)) But he kept searching non the less

Alexiel sighed and walked into Catherine's room the next morning. "Sleepy head..." she muttered, shaking the girl's shoulders. "Get up, Cathy, or you'll be late."

"I'm up, I'm up," the seven-year-old said, while, of course, turning over in the opposite direction. She pulled the sheets over her head, wanting to sleep a little bit more.

Tiger shook his head. "Up, Catherine. You don't wanna miss your first day of school, do you?"

That got her up.

"SCHOOL!!! YAY!!!" The little girl jumped out of bed, ran to her closet and got out a nice pink dress, then pushed Tiger and Alex out of the room. "I don't need help! Go, go!" Once they were gone, she quickly put on the dress, brushed the knots out of her hair, put her socks and shoes on and ran out of the room. She was about to leave the apartment when Alexiel sighed.

"Breakfast."

Catherine stomped her foot on the ground impatiently. "Come onnn!! You don't eat, Alex!! Can't I eat when I get there?!"

The young woman's eyes narrowed. "EAT. Now." She didn't want Catherine to start starving herself like she did.

The seven-year-old pouted, but quickly sat down at the table and started eating her toast as fast as she could. Alexiel got her books ready and looked to Jira, wondering if he was going to give Catherine the little 'don't be mean, don't use your powers, try to make friends' speech or not.

Jira looked at her as she began to leave. "Do not use your powers unless you must...your weapon skills are enough to propell you." He said then looking back to the computer...he had been on it all day and night searching for something.

As the girl was seen taking the elevator down and leaving a boy was seen looking at the ground a ciggarette in his mouth. He looked only 8 and had no supervision while walking alone in the city. He didn't pay attention to her as he kept walking away not wanting to be seen or talked too just like every other day.

Catherine nodded when he told her that. That would be easy to follow. Besides, she didn't think there would be any fighting or a need to use her powers on the first day. Then again, she had never really been to school before, so she wouldn't know.

She finished up her breakfast and got up, getting her books. "Bye Jiwa, bye Alex, bye Tiger!! See ya'll later!!!" she called as she left the apartment. She got on the elevator and left the building, not really nervous about walking by herself. She could totally handle herself.

The seven-year-old was rather confident that the first day would go well. The only thing she was worried about was reading... hopefully she could read at an average speed without Alexiel's help.

She soon noticed a boy walking in what she thought was the same direction she was going. Deciding that it couldn't hurt to make some friends, she ran to catch up to him. "Hello!!" she said brightly, looking at him.

Alexiel watched as Catherine left, then got her dishes and put them in the sink. Tiger sniffled, seeming rather sad about Catherine going to school.

"They grow up so fast!!" he said, only to have Alexiel roll her eyes at him.

Jira sighed as he kept doing them happy he had one less person around.

The boy looked at her then away very anti-social toward her and not really for her cheerful attitude. "What do you want?" He finally said taking the ciggarette out of his mouth an angry look in his eyes

Catherine blinked at his reaction. She had been nice... hadn't she? Why had he responded like that, why was he angry? She didn't think she had done anything, and, for a quick moment, her confidence zoomed down to zero. If all the other kids were like this, school was going to be a nightmare.

She swallowed, her confidence slowly rising as she tried to think of how to reply. She was used to cold responses, but even so, it had caught her off guard. "I was just saying hi..." she said. "I thought we could be friends."

Soahc just looked away. "I dont need your friendship." He said before speeing up so hopefully she wouldn't follow. He was probably the only one in that school like this since he was always bottom of the class and when it came to controlling his own powers

Attempt number one at making friends — failing. But that didn't stop Catherine!

The little girl sighed as he sped up, knowing that she probably shouldn't walk too fast in the shoes she was wearing. She looked down and took off her shoes, not really minding at all. She had walked barefoot for a long time before Jira found her. Walking to the school without shoes wouldn't kill her.

"I'm Catherine," she said as she caught up to him. "But you can call my Cathy. What's your name?"

He entered the school door not even bothering to listen for her name. It was worse for him in there were teachers complained that he couldn't do something or wouldn't do something. students would tease or pick on him since he was always alone and no one was there to back him up. So he ended up the way he has so far because of it.
