Lila hurried into the school courtyard, a small gift wrapped perfectly in gold and silver paper and tied with ribbon of the same colours. Like usual, she had been caught up in conversation and had to rush to get into the designated Secret Santa meeting place for students. Looking around, though, she realised everyone already there was paired off. She was the first one there.
When she had seen that Étoile was going to be her pair for the activity, she immediately did her research. That is, she asked around about who she was. At first she only wanted the basics; who she was, what she was and what she wanted. With plenty of talking, some gossiping and a little manipulation, Lila quickly found out everything she needed to know about the girl.
It was said that she was pretty but quiet. Lila felt mildly threatened by that, but reassured herself that without social presence, the girl wasn't anything to be worried about. She was also supposed to be a Star species. What a joke. The activity was clearly rigged if they paired an Angel and a Star at Christmas time. It was like something out of a Nativity Scene, with no baby. Nevertheless, Lila half-heartedly searched for something Étoile might be interested in - nothing really from the heart, she didn't know the girl. But the least she could do was put her powers to good use, and buy something fancy.

She had lacked inspiration when getting dressed that morning so she went to the store to shoplift a matching outfit to the wrapping paper, including silver flats and a golden bracelet. The wing necklace she had received from her boyfriend hung around her neck and remained the only part of her outfit that wasn't definitely stolen. She couldn't wait to see what she got.
