This man who was usually so composed, so smooth, so cunning, halted in front quite familiar doors to take a deep breath in and calm down his shaky hands and now-wiggly limbs. He hasn't felt this nervous in a while now, and he still kept telling himself that he had no reason to feel THIS nervous. But he was, and he could hear his strong pulse in his ears.

Deith tried for the door, entering the bar of Angels and Demons, even though he had made an embarrassment of himself the last time he was here. That was around last week. His work kept him from coming back, and somehow his feeling of shame for that night made it all the more difficult. But he was finally there, wanting to apologize and thank Samael personally.

He wasn't used to getting drunk. He wasn't used to being wasted. And really, he wouldn't want to experience that again.

Deith looked marvelous stepping inside the establishment, and this time, he wasn't in very low spirits anymore. Gray cardigan over his casual collared green shirt, a pair of fitted dark indigo jeans, and a pair of dark brown chukka boots. This time, too, unlike the last, he had no intention of getting drunk. And he was sure about not getting there, because it was still late in the morning and as far as he knew, bars weren't open during this time of the day.

"Hello?" he spoke warily, letting himself in. The place was much quieter than he remembered, although that's mostly because nobody else was around at the moment. It was rattling his gathered courage after all those preparations he made, but he was already here, and there was no turning back.

Samael sighed quietly as he closed the somewhat heavy dishwasher door, the last of the previous night's glasses, and his own's family's breakfast dishes, having finally been dealt with. Wiping a few drops of sweat from his forehead, he stood up, stretching his back and arms as he did so, the muscles in them hurting lightly from supporting his bent form for so long. Taking a look at the clock above the fridge, he saw it was still morning, though the hours of it were getting late. He had time still, he thought, considering that his first class didn't start until late in the afternoon. For what though, he wasn't sure. He had done his homework for that day and did no need to start on any other projects for a few days more. Most of the chores around the house were done as well, and though he could do with a walk it was just a bit too late to go out to the forest now. Sighing again, he left the kitchen heading out for his room. Some too early early studying seemed to be his only choice.

Half way there however, he heard someone opening the bar door downstairs, a voice calling for someone not a few moment's later. His parents out and his brother still at school with no plans made to visit soon, and the bar itself closed he assumed it was not anybody he knew. Someone got lost, most likely, he thought, as he ran down the stairs connecting his family room and the bar, still in the light gray tank top and sweatpants he wore around the house when he had no plans of leaving soon.

''I'm sorry, we're closed, but...'', he started, even before he opened the door, somewhat needlessly as it turned out. ''Well'', he said, a grin spreading over his face as he leaned onto the bar, the door he had just burst through being near the end of it and all. ''Look what the cat dragged in'', he joked, as his eyes ran up and down Deith's form. The man was just a bit overdressed for coming to the bar after all. Not that he looked bad, Samael decided. Just overdressed.

''You finally managed to get rid of the demon hangover?'', he asked, his eyes now focusing on Deith's. The man had left about a week ago, still hurting from his hangover even though he had spent almost eight hours comatosed in Samael's room, and even though Samael had not expected to see him again that night, he had not though he would be proceed to hide for almost close to a week either.

''This is the first time it took a week for someone to come to their senses, I must admit'', Samael said, still leaning against the bar and staring at Deith. ''I must tell my old man, he'll be really proud.''

For a few minutes, there was only silence in the shop. For a few minutes, Deith suffered in subtle agony, while having second thoughts and wondering if nobody was home. Then again the entrance to the bar wasn't locked so somebody must be here, right? But as he waited longer, calling out a couple more times, "Is anybody here?" he also was struggling against his feet, which wanted so badly to turn him around and walk away.

But just before he actually decided to go with that, he heard some heavy footsteps behind the closed door behind the bar. Deith was standing awkwardly in the middle of the empty shop, his head turned to the door as he waited for whoever this person was to get to him. Based on his plan, after that, he was supposed to greet casually and ask how things have been in the bar after that incident last week. And then he was supposedly going to apologize for the trouble as calmly as he could. Deith had it all rehearsed in his head.

But then Samael came out of the door and immediately grinned at him. That face rattled all reasonable thoughts out of Deith, leaving him, right there and then on that very first moment of their second meeting, vulnerable and flushed with embarrassment. It didn't help that he could feel Samael's eyes all over him.

"Hi," he greeted meekly. His own summer-green eyes couldn't help but move away from Samael, mostly because looking at him reminded him how much of a bother he had been that accursed night, and how he had intruded in the man's room unknowingly. Deith wanted to scour the skin off his face. It was tingly and warm and he hated it.

He was going to proceed with his rehearsed lines, but Samael was quicker than him today, and everything he said took away Deith's remaining composure.

"Geez..." Deith rubbed his nape awkwardly, before finally deciding to move a little closer. He might need a seat later, so he might as well have it now. He sat down a stool just opposite Samael, leaning against the counter. "You sure know how to tease, don't you? Work's been busy, I couldn't drop by." He suspected the man was going to laugh anytime soon, and he really wanted to hide if it were possible. But there was no point in hiding now; after all, he deserved everything that was coming his way. "That night... You could've let me sleep in my car y-- god I..." But he was trying to hide anyway. Trying to hide his face, at least, with a hand to his forehead and eyes. "...That was my first time getting so drunk..."

He made a space between two fingers to peek through and see if Samael was looking. And still grinning. He really wished that wasn't the case.

"I was quite a mess, huh?"

''Yeah, you were a bit of a mess'', Samael said, his grin loosing some of its brightness as it shrunk in size. It was still there, twitching on his lips, but more in the form of a fond smile than a giant, teasing grin he had worn just a second before. Seeing Deith's reaction though, he couldn't help but want to smile more yet actually do quite the opposite, for it was obvious that for all that they teased and bickered with each other when Deith was drunk-or on the way there-when sober Deith blushed and was ashamed much more easily. And Samael wasn't cruel, or a bully, and he would not tease when he knew that the other person would sooner blush than teas him right back. Thus, he toned his behavior down immediately, sitting down a few seats from Deith, his body angled slightly towards the other man so that he could look at him as he spoke.

''I've seen worse though'', he said, shrugging his shoulders, as he thought about the many nights he had spent in the bar, and people who got violent rather than sleepy, horny rather than friendly when drunk, and off the regular alcohol at that. Demon tended to make people worse, for a little while at least, right before they would pass out, unable to stay up or awake. Compared to that, Deith's behavior was nothing. A little troublesome because he had had to drag him all the way up to his own room, but a lot more amusing before that.

''And there is no way I would have let you, or anyone sleep in their damn car '', the lynx shifter growled in a low tone, frowning at the other man before straightening his expression back into a neutral zone, though his eyes still showed a bit of sharpness, and his irritation at the fact that Deith would even suggest something like that.

''For one, my parents would kill me if I even suggested it'', he said, trying to lighten his own mood first before focusing back on Deith's. ''For second, I would never suggest it in the first place. Not when there is more than enough beds around for everybody to sleep comfortably.''

And even if there weren't, he thought, he would still not leave someone to sleep in their car. It was uncomfortable, and dangerous, and was just not going to happen on his watch. It wasn't even a last option, it was no option at all.

''So, relax, really'', he said, smiling a bit back at Deith again, before straightening up from where he was leaning against the bar, and reaching carefully with his hands to pray Deith's fingers away from his face. He couldn't help but chuckle though, thinking how the man looked like a child, hiding behind his hands, yet still sneaking glances at Samael between his fingers. It was really cute, in a way, he thought, before settling his eyes on Deith's.

''You weren't that much of a bother, honestly, and my brother wasn't home anyway so I just crashed in his room'', he said, sensing somehow that taking Samael's bad was part of what was making Deith's so fidgety. ''And if it's any consolation, most people say just that after having tasted Demon for the first time'', he said, smirking at Deith's admission that he had never been that drunk before. ''And by most I mean everybody who returns. The rest of them die of embarrassment and never show their faces here again, or at least that's why we assume any way'', he said, joking again, before remembering to tone it down, again.

''So I'm sorry about the teasing, but I kind of thought after a week you were gonna be one of those people, you know, and well... I sort of didn't want you to be'', he admitted, shrugging his shoulders a bit awkwardly as he did so.

Deith felt a shiver run down his spine when Samael's tone changed. He flinched ever so slightly, already slowly removing his hand from his face to turn to Samael more now that the said man was sitting a distance beside him. So he easily lowered his hand when it was pulled away from his head, and his eyes now directly looked into the other's, noticing in the middle of his slight shock how Samael also had green orbs, though a different shade from his own.

Deith was snapped out of his embarrassment as he realized he must've said something wrong. Even though Samael's voice and face quickly shifted back to being gentle, there was no question he was... pissed off for a moment there.

"Forgive me," he said, smiling gently and apologetically. The shyness had faded, and his head was more leveled now than just a while ago. "I said something that offended you, didn't I? Forgive me."

He turned his whole body to the side to face Samael fully, his forearm serving as his remaining support on the counter. "Alright, I'm a little bit relaxed now." He was trying to be, at the very least. Seeing an opening in the other man's words, he slightly leaned forward to him, his small smile turning just the slightest into something more wicked and curious as his eyes narrowed curiously. "Oh, are you THIS friendly to all your customers? I'm touched. You're quite the caring guy, Samael," he chuckled. "No worries though, I intend to return to this place as a customer, I will, really. But you have my word, I won't be that stubborn anymore next time."

''I'll believe that when I see it'', Samael said, scoffing as Deith promised to be less stubborn the next time he visited the bar, though his tone was still fond, and his eyes have lost the last of their sharpness, going back to gleaming brightly, filled with mirth and fondness. ''And you haven't really insulted me'', he added, letting go of the other man's hands now that he had removed it from the said man's face so that he could focus on it. ''Just pissed me off slightly'', he explained, placing his hands on the counter as he did so. ''Just try not say anything like that again, especially if my old man is around, and everything will be fine'', he said, flashing a smile in Deith's direction, before suddenly rolling his eyes and huffing.

''Yes, of course, I make sure every singe of our many customers doesn't kiss the floor due to their own stubbornness'', he said then, obviously sarcastic. ''Like hell'', he then added, of course, for there was no way in this world that that was true. ''Not that you're getting that special of a treatment though'', he continued speaking however before Deith could get any ideas. ''I would do the same for all of our regulars. You know, those people I've known half my life and I actually like'', he joked, letting Deith know in a round about way that yes, he had grown fond of him, even though they have really known each other a few hours at best.

''Finally'', the young man said in the end, laughing, as Deith obviously tried to relax even further . ''It's far to early to be this tense in a bar, especially since I can't even offer you a drink.'' On that note, Samael finally remembered that he was sitting around in nothing but a tank top and some sweatpants, and even though they were inside, it was still cold outside and there wasn't any heating in the bar considering it was not due to open for some hours more.

''At least not here'', he amended, looking back towards the door which lead back to his family's apartment. ''Want to come upstairs?'', he asked, turning back towards the man and then pointing towards the door over his shoulder. ''I'll show you around, now that you're sober enough to realize where the hell we are going'', he said, grinning, knowing that he was teasing but unable to help himself.

"I'll be careful."

Deith sensed it now, how comfortable the silence actually was. Aside from that random surfacing of cold and sharp, very sharp, aura, Samael was really a gentle person. And it almost made Deith feel bad because he probably didn't deserve this kind of eyes looking at him. Much like how his current boyfriend was actually really too good for him.

The thought caught him off guard and revealed a sad frown on his face, but only for a moment. He was quick to cover it with a smile again.

"Samael, you're too soft on me. I like that you like me but seriously..." He laughed, nodding as the man pointed to the door. He wasn't as rattled by Samael's teasing anymore-- which probably meant his being flustered a few moments ago was due to his nervousness the entire week about coming back-- although his cheeks still easily turned slightly pink. "Like I said, you're too soft on me," he sighed and shook his head, despite keeping a smile on. "Well as long as you don't mind, then why not?"

''If I minded I wouldn't have asked you up'', the young man said, rolling his eyes as he jumped to his feet and reached for the door. ''Come on now, I'm getting cold here'', he admitted finally as he opened the door and then stood by it waiting for Deith to pass first. The stairs led straight up to the apartment so there wasn't really any room for anybody to get lost following them.

''And I'm not being soft'', he said, shrugging his shoulders as he leaned against the door. ''I'm just being me'', he explained. He was like that, he knew, soft yet sharp in different places, strong but accepting of the most out there things. It was the way he was raised, the way he grow up. The way he was, in the end, and he did not wish to change that.

''Come on now, honestly'', he said, urging Deith to move faster. ''I need to change out of this thing into something warmer if we're going to be hanging out out here where there is no heat.''

Deith immediately got up and followed, feeling a little bad for having to keep Samael here in the cold wearing those thin clothes. In all honesty though, his cardigan might have kept him from noticing that it was actually cold. "Alright, alright."

He hurried to the stairs and stopped only at the top to wait for the other man. But he made sure not to go too far.

"By the way," he said, grinning at Samael once they were within reaching distance again from each other, "I hope you didn't take that the wrong way. You being you is really nice. Just saying, you're probably too nice for the likes of me." Deith held a hand up, as if to stop whatever Samael had to say about that, even before he could say anything, if he did have any. "Now hush. Get dressed."

For a moment, Samael wondered what those words were supposed to mean. You're probably too nice for the likes of me Deith had said, and he could feel something there, something more than simply getting too drunk and being a bit of a bother, and he wondered. He didn't ask though. He never did. It was in his nature, but perhaps, he was starting to feel some of that which had made his father weary of feeding Deith too many Demons that night. He did not act on it, however. Instead he simply smiled and said: ''Don't worry about it. I got it'', before running up the stairs and caching up to Deith.

''You can sit down anywhere in the living room'', the young man said as he closed the door leading to the bar, realizing he had forgotten to turn down the lights in both kitchen and living room as he had ran down, thinking he would be back soon. All for the better he thought as he pointed Deith towards the living room. ''I'll be back in a minute'', he said then, turning around and heading for his room, pulling a long sleeved shirt and some jeans from his closet the moment the door were closed behind him.
