Toby relaxed against Felix, listening to his heartbeat and leeching up his warmth, a mix of excited and terribly satisfied. This was what he'd been wanting for a long, long time. His object of affection returning the feelings, not shying away, being with him. His face radiated heat, peeking up at his wife. He didn't deserve something like this. A wife. Tobias York! People were going to talk. They always did. He listened to the description of wifely activities with wider and wider eyes. "H-huh? I-I…" Felix had said he'd do things for him, but Toby had taken it as desperate rambling, not something he planned on going through with. It was strange that this was a surprise, since Felix had just been talking about looking forward to being a wife, but Toby struggled with connecting those dots back to him. He wasn't very husband-y... but he'd give it a shot, for Felix. He wasn't a lot of things, but he was an expert in Felix hyperfocus.

"I love you," Toby mumbled, quiet but strong, sniffling. "I'll… I won't be deadweight. You sound like a dream. You don't have to do any of that, it's not a requirement for me to want to be with you like this… If you just want to lay around all day, I won't mind a bit, as long as I can see and touch you." Though he had to admit, there was that vulnerable part of him that wanted to be cared for. Christ, he couldn't go for five fucking minutes without crying.

Hearing husband from Felix felt like a wakeup call. Despite how he was in public, he could act a little more responsible for his wifey, right? In fact, when you paired the two of them up, they might be able to form one functioning, slightly stable adult. That was wild. "Wifey," Toby murmured in return, to help it settle, flushing. He squirmed again, skin abuzz. When nuzzled and kissed, he moved to expose his neck further, shivering. "Mmf. Um." He blinked, dazed, eyes lidded. "Well, I don't want to be away from my store. It's my life's work and the heart of me, so I'd love to have you there with me. But my apartment isn't really… livable for anyone other than me. You'll see why. Definitely not for you. You deserve better." He paused when Felix did, then nodded slowly. He had good memories here, but he'd only been around for this year. Their future summers spent tangled up in each other would only improve.

He stroked Felix's cheek. "What do you think of…" He giggled. "It sounds crazy, but um, we already got married, so why not go all the way? What if I had another floor added to the building, and we could live there, together? It'd be… new, and very personalized, made for us, a-and made for us to be like this. I think you'd like that." He blushed furiously after the suggestion was out in the open. While he looked down, he kept holding on tight to Felix, refusing to let go of this intimacy. It'd been so hard to reach this point, and he didn't plan on ever backing off from it again, now that he'd reached his goals. No, no. This wasn't the kind of win that only peaked in the moment, and grew dull afterwards. Some of his conquests were. Weekend time waster stalking games. Not Felix, his wife. He was keeping Felix forever.

He savored the soft and sweet kiss with Felix. It wasn't pushy, but still made his head swim, heart jumping. He swallowed and hung on to Felix as they went to the kitchen, flustered from the cute smile. He sat at the dining room table pretty damn awkwardly, turning in his seat so he could stare at Felix instead of sitting still, attention unwavering. He was too absorbed in this to truly care about eating, but wanted to let Felix do what he wanted, and could get behind stuffing his face with his wife's home cooked meals.

"I don't usually find Christmas that special. Could never get behind the themes. It's so dull and commercialized in the American suburbia. I dressed up as Krampus, once, and that was kinda fun, but otherwise I associate the date with malls and too early holiday spotlight stealing." He scrunched his nose up at that, then, it melted away fast at the new scents in the air. He drooled a little, and was quiet for a minutre. "Now I have a… Marriage anniversary on it." Fidgeting followed. "That's more a lot notable."

He grabbed onto Felix as soon as he was in reach again, clinging, mouth set in a stubborn line. He squeezed him. "Me too." Despite not having an interest in going out of his way to eat, when presented with this food, Toby definitely gobbled it. He was going to receive this treatment constantly? He felt dizzy again, having to blink a few times to get his bearings. He pressed hard against Felix, trying to stay very, very close to him. He missed even hearing the kitten question, at first, too lost in his daydreamy state, thinking over and over on the events that'd occurred earlier in the day, internalizing their status as reality.

Then, suddenly, he looked at Felix with his round eyes. "Won't Mittens be jealous?" he said, tone extremely serious. He lowered his voice. "Would he think we're replacing him? A new child, right after a new marriage, too. I should make sure I've fully won his trust first."
