Welcome to fall, the spookiest time of the year. This contest will have players picking one of five prompts, and then being randomly paired up with someone else who wanted that prompt!
What Kind of Contest is This?
This prompt encourages players to get randomly paired up based on a prompt of their choice to see how things go. Players are strongly encouraged to finish these threads, but it's not mandatory! This is just a for-fun event, encouraging players to try something new in the holiday season.
How Do I Enter?
It's easy! Players can enter up to two characters (on different prompts). Just post in this thread, linking to the character and stating which of the prompts you want to use. Signups close on the 7th, pairs will be posted on the 8th, and from there players can start their threads freely!
What are the Prompts?
There are five prompts:
- Prompt 1: Character A's house has been behaving oddly. Before they can do anything about it, Character B appears inside their house with no explanation, having been teleported by a misbehaving poltergeist.
- Prompt 2: Both characters are hit by a stray curse, and transformed into squirrels. The curse will wear off in time... but just how much time!?
- Prompt 3: A student's power nullification bracelet has gone on the fritz without them knowing. Their powers passively make illusions based on nearby people's fears. Characters A and B happen to be nearby when a strange amalgamation of their worst fears appears.
- Prompt 4: The characters find themselves in a long hallway full of doors. No matter how far they walk, there are just more doors and endless hallway in both directions. The hallway will release them after a few hours, but not before frustrating them. What's beyond the doors?
- Prompt 5: Your characters have been abducted by aliens! It was probably a mistake, and they were probably intending to pick up the alien civilians near you, but are you going to be the ones to tell them they got the wrong people?
