Ella figured it was the best day to for a fly. Ella tried her best to ignore her abilities but every now and them she had to reluctantly acknowledge they were there. Her wings had begun cramping painfully and she knew she couldn't deal with restless wings and cravings. She decided a fly was the lesser of the evils and decides it was time for her to fly.

Making sure her room was clean, she stretched her wings to their full length, ignoring the slight pain from keeping them folded all the time. A few flaps to knock of the built up fair dust and she was good to go. She shrunk herself down to 6inches and flew out the window before heading towards the woods a trail of fairy dust following her.

Once she was closer to the forest she returned to her full height flying around to random place, leaving a trail until she found a tree to sit on. As good as it felt to be flying, she knew that her powers had a bad side. If she embraced the good she had to embrace the bad. Her wings were flapping of their own accord, unknowingly pelting anyone who walked under her.

It had not been a good day for Murphy.

It wasn't that his alarm clock had failed to go off that bothered him, nor was it the shower pipes bursting. It wasn't that he'd managed to accidentally force the chemistry class to evacuate for what he was told the third time nor that he'd manage to trip and fall into the school fountain again that had set him on edge. No, what really chafed was that after nearly a year on the island he still was in no way in control of his power despite every specialist on the island having poked and prodded at him in every way imaginable.

After nearly getting himself fired for dropping another tray of glasses he'd skulked off into the forest for a smoke only to sigh in dismay as he realized he'd lost his lighter. Well, at least the place was a nice place to nap. He'd just managed to start dozing off when a glittering trail zipped by him and up into the tree above.

He'd opened his mouth to speak only to be pelted with a puff of... was that pixie dust? "Ey! There's people down here!" he managed to sputter, desperately trying to brush the stuff away from his eyes. Christ this was going to be a nightmare to wash out.

Ella was brought out of her thoughts and tilted her head. "Its like edible sugar?" She asked turning on the branch so that her wings weren't directly over the guy. Tilting her head she tried to get a better look. She hadn't seen him around then again she hadnt anyone around.

"It dissolves in water" She said quietly. She didn't want to anger to the guy. The guy that was all alone. In a forest. With a hungry siren. She swallowed and tried to stop herself from thinking about anything along the lines of eating.

"S-s-sorry didn't meant to hit you. You won't fly like Peter pan at least"

Murphy frowned. Like Peter Pa- ah, well at least the woman seemed lucid enough to make jokes, even if she was muttering to herself. "Bah, no harm done I guess. Certainly not the worst shit to be spilled on this coat." he patted his pockets for his cigarettes only to find them crushed where he'd been sleeping on them. Damn, that was a full pack too.

He looked back up at the...fairy, pixie, fae? Whatever. Hopefully this one wasn't going to drag him to whatever the freaky place was that the last fairy thing had called home and attempt to devour him. THAT was a night he wouldn't soon forget. "So uh, what brings ya way the hell out here?"

Ella was pretty sure that this was a bad idea, she hadn't expected to run into anyone out here...in the woods. Especially in a place where there were limited witnesses, that made for a bad time. No she would not give into the little voice in the back of her mind, the one that told her to sing this man a lullabye. It's not as if he would really feel much if he fell into a trance...into her..NO. She shook her head, aware that he had something, so she smiled in return.

"Oh well, i'm just spreading my wings...they get all cramped and achy" She explained softly, fluttering down gracefully from the tree and down to the ground. She had no idea why she did that, she was safer up in the tree. Yes this person could be a criminal, or amurder or evil....would that justify her thoughts?

"What about you, do you uh sleep in the woods often?"

Murphy slumped back against the tree as the young woman flitted down to join him. He glanced at her wings and nodded, "Fair enough. The city's nice but I'll wager it can be difficult to stretch out proper when there's a thousand people about, aye?"

Stretching languidly he gave her a quick once-over. It was hard to tell her age, she had one of those faces that people might call 'timeless' or 'eternal' though her manner of speech made her come across as younger, high school or college perhaps?

"Me? Eh, I tend to wander out here when I'm restless, bored, or pissed. So yeah, guess I'm out here fairly often. Good place to be left alone in. 'Less the monsters get to ya of course, then things get exciting."

Of course things were much safer when you were on good terms with some of the bigger monsters out here but that was beside the point.

Ella nodded, that wasn't the truth she just didn't want to be caught. She was glad people disnt exactly know what she was. In fact she enjoyed pretending she could be normal, until she snapped. She watched the man, she saw his pulse and he smelled like food. She didnt want to give but she found herself sitting next to him.

Monsters out to get him? That sounded like the voice in the back of her mind. A monster, hungry but not strong enough to break through. "I think it would be safer in the city." She said shrugging her shoulder.

"Then again I can't judge, I'm here as well. I like to take to my chances with monster too."

Murphy tensed slightly as she settled beside him but did his best to hide it. On an island full of super powered people and not-quite-people it was hard not to feel a bit like prey at any given time.

"I dunno, at least out here things are pretty straightforward 'bout wanting to kill ya rather than luring your into a nightclub under the pretense of having a good time before bringing out the fangs and claws like at the bloody Gammor-"

His thoughts were interrupted by a loud grumble emanating from his stomach. Ah right, coffee, while a wonderful thing, was no substitute for actual food. Especially when it was the only thing he'd consumed for a few days now. Rummaging around in his pockets he found a slightly crushed granola bar and tore open the package. Breaking the snack in half he offered half to the fairy girl. "Here, hungry?"
