Dorian watched the subtle display of emotions cross Sage's face. There were gears working there. Checkmate. Oh, Dorian really loved these games. Dorian had an approachable and attractive facade to the general public, but at the end of the day, he knew how to do business. It was what he was good at. What he was made for.

Sage had been knocked down a few pegs. Dorian's forceful tactics worked perfectly. Hey, he had to respect that. It wasn't a cowardly move, if one thought about it. Dorian's antagonism still had his fair points. His hostility waned, and a more genuine smile crossed his features. His head stopped labeling Sage as a threat. Red going to green. His position as alpha non-threatened. All was well.

"We already are. You know, Sage, me and Logan are part of the Starlight Political Alliance, which is a club with a focus on community outreach and volunteer work. If you really want to understand the finer details of politics in MCI, and to see us both in action, you should check it out. We really tackle the issues there firsthand, and our non-council students work closely with the Student Council." He gave the table a good pat. "Treasurer seems like a fine job! I'm glad. Good for you, Sage."

Logan didn't stop labeling Sage as a threat. In all the reasonable areas, he'd backed down, and it wasn't a concern, instead turned into something for him and Dorian to be smug and laugh over later. In the petty half of things, however, he'd only gotten more sore. Now that Sage wasn't a political rival, Dorian had switched the charm back on. Logan was smiley and polite outwardly, used to a lifetime of faking it to his stepfather, spite on the inside. Pretty boy unicorn position in Political Alliance was taken, thank you very much, so he'd better not get any ideas.

He stood up perfectly straight, making sure his suit was neat, and directed his thoughts back to music, sorting through the songs he'd be playing in his head. When Dorian ended his words on a good for you note, Logan turned to him and put a cream puff in his mouth, attention shifting. "How's the chatting going, Dorian? Want me to fetch the buttons to pass out again? They're a real hit."

The cream puff came as a surprise. It was suddenly in his mouth, and he blinked before giggling, muffled by the cream puff. He bit into it and shoved the rest in his mouth, chewing as much with his mouth open. "This is really good. Have you tried the souffle? It's to die for."

Dorian bumped his head to Logan's hip. "It's going great, bunny! Can you get the pens too? And the bracelets? They seem to like that." He beamed up at him. "What about you? How are you doing with your campaigning?"

Logan snickered and resisted the urge to ruffle Dorian's hair, knowing he wouldn't want it messed up. "Goodness, don't tempt me with lovely French food, I already have a cream puff problem right now," the unicorn sighed. "I feel like school events are starting to become a 'find the tasty dessert' adventure for me."

He also resisted the urge to dip down and kiss the top of Dorian's head, swallowing and giving his shoulder a light, friendly enough looking rub instead. "Good to hear it. You're doing wonderfully here. Having fun?" He smiled. "I'll grab those too, yes."

"I'm fine," he continued, after a thoughtful pause. "I usually talk you up, then throw in some mentions about my club and volunteer history, along with investment in the arts programs here. Um. It's newer for me, aiming at this high a spot, but I'm putting myself out there. Already started with taking over Choir and Fashion, after all. Shouldn't be too nervous with tripping further into this."

Sage nodded at Dorian, relaxing more into his seat and sipping his drink — what was it called exactly? Sparkling apple cider? He thought it might be that. Anyway, he was glad for the loss in tension at the table. Without the edge of competition, conversation had dropped into a more comfortable lull, even if he wasn't totally sure that Logan was entirely alright with his presence. No matter. He'd make his way out soon. After all, he had some posters to edit and some events to organize.

He listened as Dorian discussed the political alliance, nodding his head when all was said and done. "That sounds lovely, but I'm already in three clubs. Drama, Gardening - which I lead - and one of Logan's clubs, Fashion. Maybe if I get beat out for Treasurer? My biggest issue-related passion is environmental protection, really. That and general equality, whether it be for gender, sexuality, race or religion — anything of the sort. Does the Political Alliance cover those subjects at all? If so, I'd definitely lend a hand, even without joining." Sage thought for a moment, before smiling as Dorian complimented his change of heart. "Thank you. It really is a more fitting position for me, especially now, having been raised frugally. Thanks for helping me figure that out."

Dorian smiled warmly and poked at Logan's side. "You're so skinny, darling. I wouldn't mind it if you eat a bunch of cream puffs if it means filling you up a little." Not that he had any complaints, really. Logan was lovely and willowy, but he had to wonder if that was making him sick.

"I'm glad! I used to remember when you were way younger and you used to trail behind me and Clarence and the other guys. Now, look at you. Joining the council and manning clubs. How's it feel being important? You're gonna be King of the School before I know it, bunny." He squeezed his hand. He pulled out one of the now empty seats for Logan.

Dorian turned his attention back to Sage with a smile. "Oh, of course. The Political Alliance covers all subjects of discrimination. It is community outreach, after all. It's a good club to join if you're someone that wants to help out in any little way you can."

Vinanye was all for trying this human cuisine! He skipped into Dorian's campaign, happy as ever and got a plate full of food. A little of everything. All the space and then some on his plate was full. He took one bite of everything, testing things trying to figure out what he liked to eat.

The creme puffs are divine! Steak, yum! Mashed potatoes. So many things and how was Vinnie supposed to try everything? Once he was full, he took the containers he had brought with him and found Dorian, offering them to him.

"For the food," Vinnie said, although the food was for promotional purposes. One should always bring a gift when given one first.

Inside the tins were treats and genuine Fae meals. Lots of pastries and fruity foods.

Dorian was suddenly approached, caught surprised, and felt his face heat up when he realized who it was. "Huh?"

This seemed familiar. He felt a goofy grin go back to his features, scrubbing at his cheeks a little. He took the container with a small, "You didn't have to, but all right..." He opened it up and checked inside. Oh. He opened it more fully and sampled the food. "Whoa, Vin! I've never seen this stuff before. Thank you. It looks wonderful."

He offered the container to Logan so he could try some too.

Vinnie was glad to see that Dorian liked his food. His eyes lit up, and he bowed his head when thanked. Vinanye figured it was too hectic a time to bother telling Dorian the whole 'don't thank a Fae' thing. Instead, Vin said. "You are very welcome, friend." Then he looked at Logan and offered the other man a hand. "It is nice to meet you, I am Vinanye."

Logan puffed out a cheek and swatted Dorian's hand away. "My body type stays that way naturally. It's a unicorn trait, I think. My mom's side of the family is the same way. Besides, I'm a model, aren't I?" He tapped his cheek. "I am eating more lately, though. All those meat pies." The Grahams were passionate about this 'you're too skinny' matter too. He didn't, of course, mention his hobbyist meat eating activities.

He blushed when his puppy behavior was mentioned. That hadn't been very long ago. He'd been fifteen when first meeting Dorian, and now, here they were. Holding hands when nobody was looking. He bit his lip and laughed, taking the seat offered to him. "King of the school? I could never, not with you and our esteemed ginger around."

He stopped himself from rolling his eyes when the attention was stolen back by Sage, going quiet before humming and standing again. "I'll get that merchandise. Be right back--" Then that Fae person running, Vinanye, approached them. Logan blinked for a moment, peering at the gift. It looked delicious, and as a unicorn, he was rather drawn towards treats made by other magical creatures tied to nature and the mysterious.

He eyed how Dorian reacted to Vin, then Sage again. "It really does look nice, but I really do have to get back to work. Um. I'm Logan Delacroix." He tapped his name tag. "Nice to meet you, and I'm sure we can have better introductions later. Hope you stick around to hear the piano performance." He gave Vin a smile and a nod, then hurried off before he could feel any more out of place.
