Toby had an ambitious project in the workings, and as much as he'd like to light the lights, say showtime, it was nowhere near finished. No, no, terrifying schemes were never quite as flashy behind the scenes. It was the end result that'd really mean something and come together more beautifully. For now, it was a nerd hobby in practice, not yet criminal.

That wasn't to suggest the location wasn't already unsettling. What'd been a mere condemned building a ways off from the city and civilization, falling apart and useless to any normal person, was starting to look like an abandoned hospital straight out of a gritty horror movie (on the inside, that is, outside still appeared innocently the same). His setup was going well, the props and atmosphere charming. Hell, he even had lore, fake documents and clues about the building and its completely imaginary history, a story to follow. Toby was excited as hell, this place was like a playground for him.

But it really wasn't finished, wouldn't be for a while. These things took careful prep, dedicated time, and a lot of love. Which is why Toby had decided to ask for some help from his… well, really only friend, Jett. He hadn't told the other man much about what he was up to before, and then recently, had only said he was to assist with 'decorating' and given him an address. He'd also offered free snacks, which was always good for bribery.

Now, if Jett was to make the trip out, the front doors were open, and a creepy lobby awaiting. Toby was lurking somewhere, busy until he figured Jett would arrive and call out to or hunt him down. He certainly wasn't just going to wait around in plain sight, he had shit to do, and would play host when actually needed. Jett could deal with that. It certainly wasn't as though Toby was expecting another guest, either, especially in this setting, except... that was exactly what he was going to get.

Jett didn't make it a habit of bringing people along on his and Toby's schemes. It was less about consideration and more that Jett just didn't genuinely like most people. He'd brought someone out with him this time, though.

When Jeong and Jett had arrived at the old, decrepit building, Jett had shifted into his dog form. Just to add to the unsettling air. Well, okay, no. It would help him sniff out his little ferret, too. He had shaken himself off and looked at Jeong, giving a soft growl before turning and padding off into the building.

It smelled of mold and Toby, which Jett thought went very well together! Toby's scent was all over the place, but Jett had an easy time picking out which trail was the newest before he set his nose to the ground and stalked his metaphorical prey. He periodically glanced over his shoulder to ensure Jeje was keeping up, but he never made a sound. He was totally on the hunt.

When finally they were closing in on Toby, Jett slowed his pace and sunk lower to the ground, a hunting posing. He growled, the sound was off. Too thick for a normal dog of this size. He barked then, returning to his regular shape as he did, the sound transcending to harsh laughter.

"This is fucking awesome," he said once he could speak. "Like some Outlast shit up in here. Toby.~ Little Ferret.~ I brought along a friend. Try not to bite him too hard; he's fragile." Then, noticing that Toby wore a doctor's coat, Jett rubbed his jawline and examined his friend very slowly. "Cute outfit, but I'd like to see your credentials. You look too young to be a proper doctor."

Oh god, where was Jett taking him? The only knowledge that he had received was that he was going to meet someone. But why here? He looked around him and it looked more so something out of a B grade horror movie. Jeong wanted to hold onto Jett's shirt to make sure he didn't get lost, except that his faithful friend was... A dog. It didn't help much that his appearance made everything seem a lot less friendly, like Jett was the crazy murderer. At least the killer wasn't leaving him behind.

Jeong kept up his pace, changing it whenever the dog in front of him did. This was one of those places you really didn't want to get lost in. His ears folded downwards as he walked past dark alleys and scary looking structures. When they finally arrived though, the 'friend' that he expected to see was nowhere to be found. No, this man looked almost like a weasel, an old, creepy weasel. The way he stood, the way he looked, it sent chills down his spine. He glanced at Jett, who was now human again, as he wanted to see how exactly he should handle this somewhat forced feeling meeting. "H-Hey! I'm not that fragile!" He swatted at Jett's arm, which gave him a little comfort. "But, um, hi." He gave a weak wave to the man wearing a weird doctor's coat. He wanted to ask if he was a doctor, but somehow he knew the answer is no.

It was very dark here. Toby stood in wait until footsteps approached, an unnerving feeling in the air to go along with it, then, lit his eerie lantern, the single light source. It illuminated his face oddly. His expression was chilling at first. Then, Jett was laughing, and he couldn't help but break into a big grin.

"Thank you! I've been wanting to do something like this for… christ, since I was a kid, must've been. Outlast's a fucking great game, I can't deny getting inspiration fro--" He stuttered to a stop as the next words registered, along with the other presence.

He turned his head, slowly tilting it as he did so- just a bit too far, like an owl. "Jett…" he said, tone stony and with an unspoken warning, without looking at him. His attention was now fully fixed on the new addition. Comments on his costume being cute didn't sway him, and where he'd usually play along in character, he ignored the chance.

Toby looked over the kid, who only seemed around eighteen or a little older. Had Jett really decided to bring one of his toys here? He'd never done this before, and Toby had rather thought it was common sense that his extremely criminal practices shouldn't be exposed to ordinary people. Unlike Jett, he didn't have a fucking record, and would prefer to keep it that way. Even if this was someone he'd stolen away from the Underground, it didn't mean this pretty tiger boy could be trusted. And this whole thing, it was more than everyday, petty crime most would be used to.

"Who are you. What did he tell you?" Toby asked, voice quiet, but with a demanding edge to it. He acknowledged Jett again. "Why him? Will he snitch?" He was starting to wonder if he was finally getting screwed over. It was simply a matter of time before something got messed up, with his lifestyle. He knew that. He just didn't know when, and until then, he was going to keep taking advantage of his luck to pull as much shit as possible.

Jett loved that grin. Free. Being around Toby was freedom to Jett. He could be as nasty as he wanted, as true to his real self as he could manage and Toby wouldn't judge him for it, what was more, Toby would adore it. It helped that the two of them did criminal activities together. The very best of friends. But they needed a third. The needed to even out this terrible.

Jett wasn't bothered by Toby's warning. He found it extremely attractive, actually, but his friend wouldn't appreciate his saying so. "Relax, Tobias." Jett rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "He ain't gonna snitch. I didn't tell him anything other than 'we're going to meet a friend.' He's my new roomie, and he couldn't tell if he wanted to. Jett slowly eyed Jeje over. Casually the Skinwalker walked behind Jeong, blocking his escape route.

"If you want to ensure that, we could always cut out his tongue. But you know I wouldn't bring someone along if I thought they'd be a fuckin' snitch." He ran his hand at the back of Jeong's neck, gently gripping him, a subtle threat hidden behind an affectionate smile.

"Right, Jeong? I mean, I'm the only friend you've got. Hate to see you kicked out the home 'n' and everything that comes with that. Nah, you wouldn't tattle. You're better than that. That's why I like you so much." Jett leaned into Jeong's back as he said this, lips against the other man's ear. He gave him a gentle nip, then, pulled back.

When Jeje was busy watching Toby, Jett took his pocket knife out and silently flipped it open. He flashed it at Toby before hiding it away in his sleeve. To Toby, Jett said, "I chose him because I like him. He'd bring some much-needed balance to this thing we have going on, Toby. He's a little soft, yet, but he can be taught, and I put him through the test a year ago or so ago. You're just going to have to trust me." Jett's look was equally as stony when he met Toby's eyes.

Jeong felt an uneasiness the second Toby looked at him funny. This was not what he had signed up for, to get put down and threatened by two people. Yes, he expected that now from Jett, but he had been surprised that his other ally wasn't backing down either. There was obviously no escape from this nightmare of a meeting. "I-I'm not going to say shit." He shook his head as he back glanced over to Jett behind him. "S-So you don't need to cut out my tongue." Jeje touched his lips with his fingers. "Then you'd have to cut off my hands too, so I couldn't write it out to someone, a-and then my eyes too, so I couldn't show them where it was." Why on earth was he rambling on? This was not helping the situation he was in now.

The hand that was running down his back was not welcoming anymore. Every second it was on him; it felt like Jett was slowly poisoning his back. The hand around his neck made him jump a bit, as he knew that Jett had the power to end him in an instant. Jeong wanted to push the killer's head away from his ear, as every word made him a bit more scared of his roommate. A loud sigh escaped him as Jett sulked away, allow him to rub his ear. The dialogue had been quiet in his human ears, but considering how close they were to his tiger ones, the sensitivity of them almost made him wince.

Toby didn't relax. Being told to relax made him do the opposite, really, bristling, on edge. This hospital wasn't open for business yet, no guests allowed, only staff. He kept sharp eyes on the intruder in his self-made sanctuary. Jett threw reassurances his way, but so far, they meant nothing. Then, they made a little scene.

Threats, however, meant more than reassurances. Processed easier in Toby's mind. He nodded very slowly, thoughtfully. "Okay… okay…" His eyes lit up momentarily at the knife. It was nice to see Jett was ready to pull a sneak attack, or chop things off on command. However, Toby had a machete somewhere here, and the edges of his lips curved in amusement.

He made eye contact with Jett and didn't break it, entirely unintimidated. He didn't have anything to say to that. Many thoughts, but nothing that needed to be spoken. Jett, of all people, wanting balance was laughable, and Toby had never been a true team player. He was interested, of course. He liked trainwrecks.

New boy was rambling. It was cute. "At that point, we should just kill you, don't you think?" Toby said, softly. "Unless you'd like to live an empty life with no taste, no touch, and no sight, waiting to be put out of your misery. In that case, I could surely oblige, but it'd be quite the waste with someone as young and pretty as you are."

He snapped his fingers a few times, breaking the tense air, and made shooing motions. "Hey, back off and leave him alone from now on, you filthy mongrel. You, Jeong is it? Walk with me, please, and Jett can bring up the back." He gestured for them to follow him and his lantern, then started down the hallway.

"You're the new roommate, huh? I'm the old, looks like we share something in common. Name's Tobias York, call me Toby. Not gonna cut out your tongue as long as you treat my operation with respect, and silence outside this group. You wanna tell me how you met and decided to live with this jackass, even though you're scared of him? We can exchange stories."

After winding through a couple of the mazelike corridors, knowing the layout like the back of his hand, Toby stopped at a heavily locked up and hidden away door, got it unlocked through some complicated and handmade looking methods, and pushed the door open. He went into pitch black, padded around inside without sound, then switched on the lights.

The room was downright pleasant, equipped with sofas and pillows, food and drink, not dark and gross in the slightest. "I'm calling this the employee lounge," he explained. "I'll show you the storage room after this, but you had a bit of a longer than usual drive out, and I'd like to pause and get to know Mr. Tiger here, and tell him what he'll be an extra pair of hands for. So. Sit, consume edibles." Toby himself flopped down on a couch bonelessly, like the wiggly ferret he was. It'd be evident, here, that he wasn't wearing any shoes, and didn't appear to have any laying around-- and was, therefore, wandering around his own nasty hospital setup barefoot.

Jett hated being told what to do. He hated it, and Toby knew that. Ugh, sometimes, he wanted to tear the little Trash Angel apart, but no, Toby would like that too much. Instead, the Skinwalker lingered behind (as he was told) and sneered.

Oh, he wanted to pipe in and say how he and Jeong got roomed together. Total breaking in. Not even gonna hide the real story. BUT, he had been regulated to the back. HIM! Ugh.... He got an idea. Glorious, beautiful, wicked, fun idea.

As the two of them spoke and Toby's attention was completely caught by Jeong, Jett lingered back some. Then farther. And further yet. When he was far enough to shift form into his Skinwalker shape, he did so. His skin came off in long, gooey chunks, falling around him and leaving only a panting, fuzzy mess of a monster.

Once that was taken care of, he stuck his nose to the ground and was off to find all Toby's little secrets around this place. He marked the locations he was at (yes, in the way you're imagining) to recall where they were. Tonight was going to be a good night.

Jeong stayed dead silent the entire time, even though the creepy man had asked him a few questions. He didn't want to speak until Jett was at least a bit further away. When he looked back, the man was nowhere to be seen; it was as if he read his mind. A small frown crossed his lips before they entered a decent looking room. Jeong only blinked around it, like some lost puppy as he tried to see if there was anything in general that was going to seriously hurt him.

Jeje sat beside the man, though not close enough to touch him. "Good to hear." He finally spoke as he relaxed into the seat; he was always uptight around Jett. "My name is Jeong Ju-Min, Toby." He wanted to say it from his own mouth. Though, the thought of the two of them being old roommates didn't surprise him. "He kind of, well he broke into my house and claimed it for himself." It made him chuckle now. "Then he taught me how to properly torture someone too." Those words stuck a bit more in his mouth, like dry blood. Afterward, he only observed the man as he pawed at his own ear to pass the time. What else did he want to know?

Toby rolled his eyes when he realizing he'd spoken as if to the both of them for nothing, as Jett had already bailed. His pride was hurt, and he was probably off for some kind of vengeance. Whatever. He'd wait until he showed back up, then repeat the thing about the storage and snacks. Jett would be missing out on relaxing time, but that was fine, his own choice and fault. Besides, this way, he had a chance to peer at Jeong, who apparently didn't want to chat with Jett nearby. He relaxed as soon as it was just them, too.

Toby raised his eyebrows as he listened to Jeong, and wondered how offended the other would be if he gave him an abusive relationship self help book. "Ah. That's certainly in character. Why didn't you call the police, back then? You don't feel like us, and Jett even said you were here for… balance." He peered closer. "Who are you, exactly, Jeong Ju-Min? Let's… forget your questionable relation to Jett for a moment. Tell me about yourself."

He shrugged off his for-show weird posture to mirror Jeong's relaxing. "I'll return the favor. I'm twenty-four, been here since I was seventeen. I work at LuxTV and own a costume and makeup store in the city, Smoke and Mirrors. I'm obsessed with monsters, hate humans, and I also happen to be a human. My abilities are immortality and fast regeneration. I'm kind of a nerd along with a criminal, for horror in particular among other things, and this whole setup is mine. You're here to help with continued decorating."
