Family Circus

Zinnia skipped outside of the elementary school by herself. She didn't know who was going to pick her up, but she figured that it would be one of her siblings. It would be amazing if Daddy showed up, but Daddy was very busy. He did have the circus to worry about after all! It was opening up to the public fairly soon. She was in a cute pink and white polka dot dress with a flashy backpack. Her hair was in twin pigtails as usual.

She glanced around for her babysitter and noticed a pirate musician. She recognized Richard Trickson as one of the employees, but they didn't talk much. Her eyes sparkled as she ran towards him and gave him a big hug.

"You ever heard of dinosaurs?! They're so cool! I learned about a stegosaurus, a apatosaurus, a tyrannosaurus rex...."

As she stumbled to come up with more dinosaur names, her illusion powers started acting up. Behind her a tyrannosaurus rex appeared. It wasn't to scale, but its appearance was sudden enough to scare a few people. If one poked it, then they would realize that it wasn't real, but who goes around poking dinosaurs? So the magic hologram t-rex stood there and caused a stir.

She giggled and cheered as she was picked up and spun around. She clung tightly to him. Richard Trickson was fun! Once the girl was back on the ground, she bounced up and down excitedly. She still didn't quite see the T-Rex hologram that was marching in place at this point. It looked kind of goofy doing that. Her mouth opened to answer him, but she noticed how he cut himself off. Zinny blinked in confusion. What was wrong? She was relieved when he grinned, but her smile dropped a bit as she realized what she had done.

Zizi turned around and spotted the marching dinosaur. She automatically recognized what it was.

"Yes! I didn't mean to make it appear though..."

Her powers were acting up once more. At least it wasn't terrorizing too many people. At this point, the crowd that did see it seemed calmer about it. Zinnia still felt bad. To make matters worse, she wasn't sure how to necessarily make it disappear. She contemplated this as she noted her favorite dinosaur.

"The T-Rex was my favorite too!"

Richard Trickson's words cheered Zinnia up. She didn't feel as bad about summoning the dinosaur anymore. She bounced cheerfully as she was praised for her imagination. She then watched as the man poked the t-rex. His hand went right through the creature. It was a hologram, not an actual beast. People relaxed and even chuckled a bit as they went on their way. The school was safe from angry dinosaur attacks; well, it was safe for now.

The girl contemplated what she wanted to do as the beast steadily faded away. She quickly came to a conclusion.

"Can we get ice cream?! I want ice cream!"

Her sweet tooth required satisfaction. After that, maybe they could go to the park! Or maybe a movie! Or maybe play some games! She'd figure it out after ice cream.

Zinnia took Richard Trickson's hand. She couldn't wait to get ice cream! She began to contemplate what kind of ice cream she wanted as they left to get frozen treats. She was skipping once more. The amount of energy she had was ridiculous. Thankfully she wasn't like another character this roleplayer had or the poor guitarist wouldn't be able to keep up!

"What's Daddy doing?"

She was aware of the setting up, but she wanted to know if he was doing anything specifically like hanging out with the animals or hiring new members.

A mirror? That must've been her mirror brother! He was always pretty serious. She wondered what he was going to do. Would there be something new with his act? Then again, she never really got to see what Mirror did. She didn't know about the scary attraction because it was not ideal to scare the living hell out of the little girl.

"I can't wait until the circus opens!"

They arrived at the ice cream parlor shortly after that exchange. She was hoisted up so that she could see all of the flavors. The girl glanced long and hard before coming to a decision.

"Cherry Vanilla please!"

She pointed at the flavor she wanted.
