It happened a few days ago; it was right after he dismissed his class-- they had done a short lecture and some laboratory activities that day-- that Alaude was stopped by a student who requested for an extra meeting. While Alaude wasn't the friendliest instructor, this request had actually managed to put a smile to his face, and he was more than pleased to grant the request. It wasn't any bother, after all. He had a consultation schedule for students, and he was being paid for that. So he scheduled their lesson in those available hours.
He waited in one of their laboratories in the tech and engineering building. Here, they'd have most equipment they'd need, though Alaude still decided to bring his own box of spare parts and tools in case his student needed them. There were also unused machines lying around the room, which students can freely deconstruct and put together again by themselves.
The entire room looked more like a workshop than a tech "laboratory", though. There were stains and dusts and it seemed as if cleaning the room everyday was effort made in vain. So Alaude wore his working clothes, too, and didn't care if he got dust and grease on his pants even when he sat on one of the tables while waiting.
