Name: Euna Coneely
Grade : 8th
Age: 14
Birthday: August 12
Gender: Female
Category: Student
Class: Middle School
Birth Place / Hometown: Lhennva-rei, Illenhra; but she tells everyone that she is from Clonakilty, Ireland
Appearance Description: Euna stands at exactly 5 feet. She has short, dark brown hair cut in a messy bob. She has a light complexion, but if one would observe closely, they would notice faint scars all over her face that look like abstract tattoos. She has wide, round, light brown eyes that make her look younger than she actually is, along with her round face and stature.
Personality Description: Euna is overly energetic. Her emotions are rather extreme, thanks to her human and Veccier genes mixing and ruining her endocrine and limbic system. Someone has described her with the words "no chill." She also is very sarcastic, and many of her comments bite. Euna does not know when or how to shut up most of the time, and mutters to herself often. When she meets people she is comfortable with, her demeanor can be compared to that to a puppy excited to meet its owner. But when she gets angry, she might need someone to hold her back, because her threats mostly get physical. She has punched people in the face before she turned 10, and also has kicked people in the neck, only because she was too short to reach their face.

Powers:
Discovered when: At the age of 1
Discovered how: Her mother caught her face tattoos glowing, which is common among Veccieri using large amounts of mana.
How/Why they have it: Heredity.
Stronger: Mana Manipulation
This is the most usual form of magic on Euna's home planet Illenhra. This ability can be stretched to include other schools of magic, but Euna is only comfortably familiar with its most basic form. Basically, the Veccieri and other species have mana running through their bodies, and their form of magic would involve releasing some of that mana and forming it into flames, or whichever, before absorbing it back or regenerating the lost mana. The most basic form would be a string of glowing mana, but Euna has extended it to form ethereal projectiles like knives and glowing shards, as well as sheets of mana that can shield from most solid items. She can also use mana to conjure small items, but more complex items would fade in time. This is more taxing than the other schools of magic, but simpler.
Weaker: Healing Factor
Euna doesn't have very good control over her mana yet, so she has to deal with her mana passively healing her every time she gets injured. Thus she is very resilient and still would be able to stand with numerous injuries. Of course, there would be a limit, when her mana runs out. Then she would really be in trouble.
Biography: Mer Kavalei ruled over the Veccieri kingdom of Lhennva-rei. True to the image of every (semi-competent) ruler of the kingdom, he frequently skived over his duties, planet-hopping. It was a bad move, considering that the Veccier political structure isn't the most stable one, and little uprisings and coups happen every several years.
After one particularly nasty run-in with some vicious mantis-like warriors, Kavalei landed in a farm field near Cork, Ireland. The first person to see him was a brown-haired woman named Kathryn Coneely. After healing himself up, he spent some time on Earth with Kathryn, and didn't return to the planet Illenhra for some time. Kathryn had no family, and enjoyed Kavalei's company and stories. They soon fell in love with each other, and Kavalei brought her back to Lhennva-rei with her consent. As usual, the kingdom was in an uproar when their Mer returned from shirking his duties.
He hid Kathryn in the palace, and they soon had a child, who Kathryn named Euna. The union between a Veccier and a human would have a 1 out of 4 chance of the child having distinctly colored markings on their face. Luckily, Euna only had very faint, scarlike marks. She would also have emotional problems due to the genes repositioning her mana channels and her limbic system.
After almost three years of successfully hiding an alien in the palace, what with its secret rooms and sliding doors and whatnot, Kathryn and Euna were found, by Kavalei's wife, no less. She was significantly more than enraged.
It was also at that time when a coup broke out in the capital. The entire city and even the palace attendants and staff were in chaos. Before Kavalei left the palace to handle the situation, he sent Kathryn and Euna back to Earth.
Kathryn knew that the Queen would send troops after her, so she left Euna with a close friend and his wife in Clonakilty, who were barren. They became Euna's foster parents, and Kathryn disappeared. She was marked as a missing person, soon to be legally presumed dead. Euna's foster parents respected Kathryn's wishes kept quiet about Euna as much as possible, without neglecting her. They loved Euna as they would their own child, and Euna cared for them in equal measure. They had a small library, and Euna soon grew to have a fondness for books and stories. Thus Euna didn't have much experience with other people, until she came to school.
Euna had a vague idea of the chaos that had happened shortly after her birth, thanks to what Kathryn had explained to her foster parents, and deeply resented her father for this. Despite this, every time a package wrapped in Veccier mock gold was sent to her room, she would pore over the books that her father (presumably) had sent her, as well as the skillfully crafted knives. The books ranged from storybooks to spellbooks to instructional books on martial arts. The only thing that she wouldn't touch was an ostentatious gold scarf weaved out of a fluid material that never got warm. After receiving that, she started collecting all sorts of scarves to prove just how awful that one scarf was.
When she was 12 years old, two mages, one Veccier and one elfen, managed to locate her while in the middle of a geography class. They entered through a wall snaking with wires, causing the authorities to attribute the ensuing fire to faulty wiring.
It was a miracle that no one noticed bolts of light jumping from Euna's hands while everyone evacuated the building. It was also a miracle that Euna managed to beat back two professionally trained mages and keep them from killing her. Maybe it was the odd, linear structure of human architecture, Euna's agility, or sheer dumb luck. During the siege, she managed to figure out how to channel mana into lightning and aim it at one of her assailants, something the books weren't too good at explaining. The elf was out of action, but Euna didn't manage to neutralize the lightning back into mana properly, giving herself painful electric shocks and burns. She powered on, though, and managed to get back on her feet and defend herself in the burning school. She didn't kill her assailants, but wiped their memories and sent them out of the galaxy in a fit of magical ability, not unlike the strength bursts mothers get when they lift trees off their children. After they were banished, Euna collapsed in the smoke and flames, completely drained of mana. The firefighters found her then, and took her to the hospital for treatment.
After that ordeal, Euna took her self-training even more seriously, studying even some human martial arts and incorporating some Veccier techniques. She grew more reclusive and paranoid, even spending entire days outside of the house just in case another set of assailants came. She didn't have to spend too long isolating herself, as an invitation from Starlight Academy. She planned to complete her studies there and find out a way to minimize her position in space and make her less of a target.
