Ethan has strawberry blonde hair that falls over his aqua coloured eyes. He stands at 6 foot 1 with a slim yet muscular build. Usually, he wears jeans, white trainers, a leather jacket and either a red t-shirt or a tank top with shorts that go down to just above his knees.

In his mana form, Ethan’s clothes remain the same but his body changes form. His skin is light blue with lighter, glowing blue hair comprised from mana energy, moving as though it had a mind of its own, as well as his eyes being the same colour as his hair, glowing and one solid colour.

Despite the constant resting expression of boredom on his face, Ethan is one of those people who enjoys being around people. He won’t make friends for the sake of having friends but he loves to be in a large group, finding it easier to maintain a conversation when there are more than three people. His main hobbies are sports, especially sports, partying and photography; not of people but landscapes and nature. At times, he has been known to be a flirt as well as losing his temper when driven to the edge. Usually, he manages to control himself but if there is something that is a constant annoyance, he will lash out.

Mana Manipulation: Ethan is able to control and manipulate mana energy that can be used as blasts from his hands or to form something he desires, like a sword or wings. In his human form, the blasts are only concussive, knocking a person back a bit, and anything formed can only last a couple of minutes at a time. Once he is in his mana form, his energy manipulation capabilities are higher, meaning stronger blasts and anything formed can last up to an hour. However, the longer he is in his mana form, the more strain he is under. After a limit of two hours, Ethan will collapse and pass out, returning to his human form.

Ethan was born in Adelaide, Australia, into a family consisting of him, his mother and father, an older sister and a younger brother. He lived an average life - school, hanging out with mates, a paper round job on Wednesdays and Sundays. Almost everyone got along with him, stopping to talk when he delivered the newspapers. At the age of 15, Ethan stumbled upon an empty building, which seemed too creepy to avoid exploring. The building was once a laboratory for an ancient elf mage, who dabbled to find an infinite mana energy source, named Valorion (who later created Orion). Inside, it was mostly run down, walls and ceiling collapsing, vegetation overgrowing, and various objects strewn across the floor. One particular artefact was a ring, glowing blue. Ethan went to pick it up but was blasted by a surge of blue mana energy which was then absorbed into him, giving him the ability to manipulate this mana. The ring was one of many failed experiments imbued with mana with the goal of an infinite power source, but it only supplied a single jolt instead of a continuous supply. However, this high amount of energy altered Ethan’s DNA, which enabled him to channel mana from within himself. After these abilities became more out of hand, Ethan received a letter from Starlight Academy and travelled to Manta Carlos to help understand what had happened to him and how he could control it.

He has a decent amount of money from life savings and what he has earned from a paper round. His current residence is a dorm room and he works at Darkheart Artifacts. Ethan owns a digital SLR camera that he uses to take pictures of landscapes and nature. Also, he still wears the ring that gave him abilities, now drained of all the mana it was holding. It acts as a memento of the event and could possibly provide a clue to help him discover why it had happened.
