The Darkheart is located in an alleyway off the main roads of the underground. A small staircase that leads below street level stops before a heavy oak door. Once inside the shop, racks upon racks of weapons, armor, gadgets and vials full of unnamed liquids line the racks and floor. A simple counter made of wood stands towards the back of the shop.
Another oak door is set behind the counter which leads into the workshop. The workshop is outfitted with noise cancelling material in the walls to muffle the sounds of swearing and explosions when experiments and new projects go astray.
A cash register sits on top of the counter, and although the shop is clean, the lights are nearly all burned out, giving the place a dim look. Smooth Jazz is often playing softly in the background from an unseen stereo system.
The shop is open Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday are by appointment only. The shop is open from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
Custom orders are required to be consulted about on site, and in the event a patron asks for a significantly powerful item, the shop management requires that customer to pay for the acquisition of the required items. As well as shouldering any hospital bills that may result in attempts to get the required items.
A sign posted on the door specifies potential customers must be 16 and older to purchase anything from the store.
