God she felt so horrible!

It felt like it's been forever since Adelene last went on a self training, and it made her feel guilty. No regrets, however. She's been hanging out often with Leon and Lochlann and her other friends, and she's starting to see how enjoyable life can be when you have them. Her life in Manta Carlos has been fun and peaceful.

Still, she had to train herself. She had weaponry classes and self defense classes, but they weren't enough for her. Her goal was to master her powers, so she'll never worry about going berserk, and for that to work, she had to train with her powers too. She went to the lake, her usual training spot, but this time, she planned to go deeper into the woods, so she can test her summoning skills more.

She wouldn't want to be caught and scolded by another faculty member, after all.

However, as she walked, she couldn't help but notice a form some distance away. She stopped, and felt like somehow she needed to hide. As if it felt like he was hostile and she needed to lurk in the shadows to see otherwise. Carefully, quietly, she went behind a tree, before peeking through the side to see what he was doing. Hopefully, this man didn't have senses sensitive enough to pick up her presence. Her stealth moves just now were crappy as hell!

Sebastian had made his way to the Lake, he needed to think. The urges he was having from the encounters with both Dorito and Vlad the Necromancy teacher, they had both caused him to think about his idea of going through life alone. Could it be that his path he was walking through life was not to be unhappy alone but to be happy with a group. He couldn't believe it, he had been with his father his whole adolescence and he had been unhappy and now he is to believe that in order to be happy he must put his trust in to someone and create... Friends?

His parents had friends and a pack of their own and they were shunned and pushed out, his mother killed in the process. Friends were just there to weigh down a person on their walk through life, there was no way he could believe that going to this school and making friends or even a partner could bring him to a happy ending on this path that he is walking.

Lost in thought he hadn't realize that he had gotten himself angry, his eyes had turned yellow and his claws had grown out to that of his wolf hybrid form. Suddenly he heared something, a branch moving. He quickly turned around, initially unable to see anything he began to sniff the air. His werewolf nose could pick up scents easier than any dog, he quickly spelt something coming from the tree. As he began to walk towards the tree he looked up the leaves were blocking his initial view.

"Who's spying on me. Come on down, show yourself!" His voice deep and a snarl leaving his mouth afterwards.

The scent that he would catch was a mixture of bamboo-and-green-tea sweetness from her shampoo, gun powder from her hands, and a distinct natural body scent from a more-than-human girl.

Adelene froze immediately. She saw how this man shifted his form, and she saw that he... he wasn't in a very good mood at the moment. She didn't know what creature he was but she knew she couldn't cause trouble with him.

Just the faintest reaction was all she needed to know she had to hide. She climbed up the small tree skillfully, and went on a branch, but that almost did not help her because the man knew immediately that she was there. And with him below her, she was stuck in the tree like a cat that can't go down.

He shouted angrily at her, and she flinched with a small "Eep!", tried to back away, but she lost her balance instead and...

And then there was a loud thud against the ground. Adelene fell right in front of him, her backside first. It wasn't her first time to fall from a tree, and the height she covered wasn't high enough for her to have any fatal injury, but the impact was painful enough that it knocked the air out of her lungs for a few moments, and she curled up to her side in pain.

"Sh-Shit that hurts..." she groaned as she clawed on the ground to try containing the pain. It soon subsided, and she looked up at the stranger from the ground. "I'm sorry I... wasn't spying or anything..." she said.

As he walked closer and closer to the tree he heard a small "Eep!" come from the tree then without a second thought down came the person watching him. They feel right in front of him but before he could react, immediately seeing it was a girl his age he turned around and took a few steps away. He put his hands up to his face and tried with all his might to change back, after a few minutes of loud growling he finally completely went back to his normal form.

"I'm sorry. Are you okay? It seems our paths crossed at the improper time today." Stretching out his hand to help her up as he walked back towards her, his face showing a small smile as to show her that he wasn't completely bad. "How long were you watching me?" He said grasping onto her hand not giving her another option.

"My name is Sebastian Santora."

"Just... Just a little bit," she answered and straightened her back slowly. She was lying down for a few more seconds, merely staring at the hand offered to her while she tried to feel if her fall was bad. And then she took his hand and slowly got up when she thought she was fine.

"I'm... Adelene Cross." It felt natural to tell her name after someone's introduced themselves to her. She let his hand go soon enough, even though she was having a hard time to breathe. She knew she was going to be alright in a few more minutes. "Ah... I need a moment." She smiled back at him, leaning against the tree trunk.

"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to spy on you. I was... passing by. To train. But I saw you and... I kinda got a little curious," she explained herself and chucked awkwardly. "See, I'm always alone around this area. But it's strange that I haven't met you up 'til now, Sebastian."

"Pleasure to meet you Adelene, I come here every now and again. I'm usually more in the forest but I just needed time to think so I came to the lake." He turned around and began walking out into the open, looking down at his reflection in the water he began to feel like talking.

"A lot has happened to me since coming here and I feel like I've become a different person. I used to walk a lonely road, it's what I walked my whole life staying on the path of life that I was given. An outcast, a loner no friends but since coming here. I've fallen to the urges of my werewolf nature. Not to kill but to do sinful acts with those temptresses." He begins to recall what happened in the stables with Dorito and then the urges he had with his Necromancy Teacher Vlad.

"I don't know what has become of me and I don't know if I am straying too far off the path that was set for me. I fear my parents would be ashamed if they were still around." He turns back to Adelene and looks at her, "I aplogize. I'm just in one of those states of mind."

The girl remained leaning against the tree. She was sure she was gonna get a bruise somewhere later because there was still some pain left and it wouldn't go away. She reached her back over her right shoulder, wincing as she tried to ease herself with a quick massage near the scapula.

At the same time she was listening to Sebastian's monologue. Interesting, she thought at first. But then he started talking about messing up with temptresses. A frown crossed her lips, and even though she knew it wasn't her concern, she still felt pissed. After all, she hated girls by default. And she hated flirty and slutty people much more.

"I don't mind listening," she put on a smile when he turned back to her. "But... the way you say all of that... sounds like you regret those, right? If you have those terrible feelings eating you, I'm pretty sure that means you pretty much... fucked up."

She pushed herself away from the tree and slowly walked towards him near the lake. And then she stopped beside him, staring into the distance. "Feeling regret is how our conscience tells us we did something against our standards and ideals, that's what I believe in. Do you feel regret? If you do... Better not commit the same mistakes."

Sebastian shook his head slightly, he really did "Fuck up." Walking towards Adelene he put out his hand, "Are you sure you're ok? It was a pretty big fall for a.. normal Human." He wasn't used to all these monsters and stuff at the school so he still called other students normal humans until they told him otherwise.

"I made this all about me, I've as you said fucked up. I'll just have to call this a learning experience and focus on walking the correct path. I need to finish walking this path and got onto a new one, what about you? Do you believe that you are walking the correct path?"

Looking up at the clouds he couldn't help but think of what he should do, it is true that when he has been a lone he has gotten through life fine but if what he has been told is true, he is going to need to find a companion. An ally to travel with on the road they call life. Maybe this Adelene would be a good start, she didn't seem like a temptress and it was the least he could do for making her take the fall and interrupting her training.

She looked at his hand and then at his eyes, laughing weakly as she held up her own hand. "I'm okay, it's painful as hell but... I didn't break my spine so I'm not in any danger. Also, it's not my first time falling from a tree, and even though I'm human... I can't really say I'm normal."

He smiled up at him. He was... as tall as her friend Leon, so she didn't feel so small anymore, even though she really was quite small at five feet flat.

She tilted her head curiously. Correct path?

"Live, and never let bad people get their hands on my power, that's the only direction I'm walking in life," she said. "And there's so many ways to take that path."

She couldn't really say she took the correct way though. She looked away, frowning, as everything from before she got to the island flashed back before her. "I'm alive, but my parents died because of me... And other people died because of me... I made mistakes, but... I'm being careful now."

She winced again.

"Ugh... Back's still painful..."

He let out a smile, something he didn't do often but this girl had a certain aura about her that just made her so easy to talk to. "You look pretty normal to me, but I guess I look normal too." He stood there listening to the girl as she told him about her parents, with that he put a hand on her shoulder as she said her back was hurting.

"My parents died protecting me as well, in inadvertently it wasn't because of what I am it's because their friends... Their allies... Their family betrayed them. That is why I feel as though walking this path of finding friendship or for a better word companionship may not be the correct path." He looked her in the eyes placing his other hand on her other shoulder, she seemed to blame herself for something that couldn't possibly have been her fault.

"I can't imagine that you are the cause of any death and hardship in this world no matter how small. Your life doesn't seem so bad right now, so you must be walking the correct path." Letting go of her shoulders he stepped back and looked at her fully, she was short but she had that sense of innocence to her. Sebastian wasn't the best at reading people but he liked to think he could get an idea as to what someone is like.

"So you said you were going to train? Tell me, what is it you do here. I'm fairly new and I haven't explored much yet."
