Charlie wasn't really sure what to tell Jaxon about her home country, and she wasn't exactly sure if the boy was joking about the kangaroo question. He probably was, Charlie had heard that was one of the more...extraordinary stereotypes about Australia. It made her smile a bit after she thought about it.
"It's...okay. You...can ask. Well...I couldn't...ride kangaroos. I'm a bear, so...they were scared of me..."
It was true that most wild life in Australia had been scared of Charkie because she had the scent of a bear, but she mostly wanted to try joking around a bit. Even if her tone sounded serious. But at least Charlie had a small smile on her face.
"It's...pretty hot, as you can...probably imagine. We lived...in the suburbs...by the city. It got...pretty rainy in the...the summer. At winter...it's more cool and cloudy, and...pretty humid...Surprisingly, it's most hot...around January, and...and February..."
Charlie tried to explain it the best she could, and while she did she kinda got homesick.

He was a bit disappointed hearing that she didn't ride a kangaroo. That was practically the first thing he knew about Australia. In fact, listening to Charlie probably taught him more about the place than he had ever learnt.

"How is it hot in January? Wouldn't the Ice melt?" He was laughing, enjoying the topic as it made her smile. Maybe this was what they should talk about. Their birthplaces. Jaxon was on the island, so he couldn't exactly tell her about it.

Charlie was relieved Jaxon was laughing, she had been worried she sounded weird. Charlie tugged on her scarf, behind it she still had a small smile. Jaxon's next question confused her for a moment, but then she remembered January, in most places of the world, was usually colder.
"There, um...isn't any ice...to melt. January is...our summer...so to say."

Charlie had noticed, that here it was getting colder instead of hotter, and she looked outside. Even now it was cloudy.
"Will it...snow here? I have...never seen snow."
Charlie looked at Jaxon, and was even able to look into his eyes. Only briefly though, as she blushed a tiny bit and looked outside again soon after.

"That's the Summer?" Jaxon nodded, frowning. it was the complete opposite of what it was on the island. "Weird"

Hearing snow, he looked up at her. She hadn't seen snow? If nothing else, Jaxon had to introduce her to some people. "Yeah, it snows here. Quite often too. I'll take you ice skating one day. Try to teach you instead of you teaching me."

It was just a loose plan, and Jaxon was joking about him teaching her. He had no idea either. It would be the blind leading the blind.

Charlie smiled a little bit, when Jaxon said that Summer in January was weird.
"I guess...it is a bit weird. It was weird...for me to see, that...it's chilly here now. Usually I...stop wearing this...this scarf around this time."
Charlie looked down on her scarf and fidgeted with it.

Charlie was a bit excited to see snow, she had only seen it cover the faraway mountain tops, and she knew it was cold to the touch and white and melted in your hands.
Jaxon said, he'd take Charlie to skate and she looked at him surprised before blushing a bit and looking down. Why would Jaxon do that? Charlie was aware she wasn't the easiest person, and Jaxon must've been bored of dealing with Charlie by now.
But Charlie wanted to try ice skating.
"A-are you...sure? You don't need to...force yourself..."

"You'll get used to it as time passes. If the weather is any indication. You might need the scarf all year." He gave her the thumbs up. Charlie didn't have to worry about her scarf.

Surprisingly, he was excited about the idea of taking her skating. It wasn't something he usually did, but she seemed like she would enjoy it, and he would have the chance to actually go skating. "It's fine. Just say I'm paying you back for tutoring me."

"All year..."
Charlie muttered, and tugged on her scarf a bit. Being able to wear her scarf all year round was a comforting thought, but Charlie knew she wouldn't be able to hide behind her scarf for the rest of her life. She'd have to take it off someday...

Charlie was athletic, and she likes moving and sports, surprisingly. So she was escited to try out a new kind of sport. But then she realized...Jaxon would be there took obviously. What if he thought it was weird that Charlie liked exercising? That was the whole reason Charlie held back considerably in PE classes. Maybe she should say no after all...
But as Jaxon spoke again and Charlie looked at him she couldn't just refuse.
"I'm...looking forward to it..."

Jaxon just gave her the thumbs up when she looked at him. He was glad that she agreed to go. "Just being Honest, I don't know how to skate, but I think we should be able to pick it up easily."

Looking back down at his book, he frowned. There was a math process being shown that he didn't quite understand. What was going on there? Rotating the book so Charlie could see, he pointed to it. "Does this makes sense to you?"

Charlie smiled a little bit at the thumbs up, and shyly shower a small thumbs up back at Jaxon. Although it was a short one, and Charlie blushed a bit after.
"I-I hope we'll, um...have...fun..."
Charlie said, muttering, and fidgeted with her scarf.

Charlie leaned over to look at the problem Jaxon was having trouble with, and she counted it in her head before pointing at one part of the equation.
"Um, here you should...switch the places of these two components...it becomes much easier to count...and the flow of the equation...is better."

Jaxon nodded, listening to what she said. "So instead of that, it becomes this" He scribbled something down, "Like so, and... oh you're right, it does flow better."

Quickly he turned it back to himself and finished the question. "Thanks for that," Jaxon grinned. Charlie was actually really good at this.
