Berserker ran at the boy in a tackle as if playing football, Maura turned and ran. She could've summoned another beast if she was older. But seeing she was young and physically weak the strain of summoning two creatures could put her in a comma. So she decided to run, the girl looked for someway to escape the man. If she had a true physical power she'd be able to escape. But all she had was summoning.

She mainly knew Berserker's summon call, she could always use a reverse spell to send her to the holding place. But then Berserker would have to summon her, and well she didn't know that summoning spell so she'd end up stuck there forever and Berserker would be stuck on earth and unable to return to the hold meaning they would've switched roles. But if either were to die it would mean instant death for the other. She ruled that option out, she wondered if she'd be able to escape so Berserker could handle the man. She knew well enough that her leg wasn't healed and if she ran much more it'd brake again. She whimpered feeling a sharp pain, she needed to stop running. If ever there was a goodtime for the annoying Paul/Corona to show up she'd loved it to be now. But she couldn't rely on someone to bail her out.

Baine was catching up to her, but his body was giving. Even the blood lust of the scythe wasn't enough to stop Baine from nearly falling over. He stopped to catch his breath as his wounds caught up to him. Realizing the danger he was truly in, he ran off in the other direction, away from Maura and Berserker.

Berserker looked at Maura for a answer of what to do. She sighed remembering the stupid promise she made, she gave Berserker a 'scare him to his place but don't kill him' look. She sat in the flowers, her leg aching from the agony, she knew she probably did nothing good for her leg. Berserker chased Baine for so far untill he thought he had shown him his place. He then returned to Maura, she winced. "Berserker, I don't like people like that... I probably could've had you kill him easily. But I promised that stupid Corona that I'd not kill anyone. I just hate being cooped up and when I come out it's so dull." She said annoyed, her leg ached. She put her arms up motioning for Berserker to carry her back towards home.

Baine never realized Berserker was chasing him, mostly because he couldn't see him. He eventually stopped and rested against a tree stump. He cursed the girl for not being his slave like she should have been. He would have enjoyed a cute summoner girl at his command. Within him, darkness started to stir. Lesset had nearly completed his rest, and was about to awaken...

Corona had recently come into town to check on Maura. When he learned she didn't stay quite as long as she should have, he was disappointed. He sighed and thought about what he was going to do. He wanted to find her, but that would be a lot easier said than done.

Berserker carried Maura towards town, she was going to have to take it easy seeing her leg just undid all the long hours of sleep. She didn't rebrake it at least, she was glad for that. She looked at Berserker, "Thanks..." Her and Berserker were thicker than thieves. They were one of the closest pairs of crooks and murders there was. She felt as though he was her father and he felt as though she was his daughter.

Maura was glad they were so close, she wanted him safe and he wanted her safe. Of course in public they didn't show how close they were, they didn't even show friendship. They were very introverted in their feelings.

(sorry it's short)

Paul's recent thorough training had him sleeping often. Since it was mostly mind-related tasks, his body was usually quite filled with energy. So it mattered little that Corona took over when he slept. Paul was starting to sleep for as much as days at a time, and Corona never realized just how much energy it took for a human to summon upon the innate powers of the mind. Of course, even Corona, who only need as little as 7 hours of sleep a week became easily exhausted from his studies when he was younger. So he figured it wasn't very surprising.

He was also a bit glad, because it gave him some time to himself and an opportunity to check on Maura. If only he thought of it a few days ago, perhaps he would have been able to stop her from leaving. He just hope she remembered her promise.

Now to look for her...

Berserker and her soon reached the woods, Berserker wasn't tired at all. Maura was, her body wanted to rest. She had been taking it easy only once and a while going for walks with Berserker. Berserker was more than a creature, he was her support. If she started to fall he'd catch her with his hand and support her as she walked if she needed his help. He truly enjoyed helping her even if it may've looked like he was her slave.

Maura made sure Berserker was happy, she kept him fed and amused. Whether it was killing things or going to places where things died. Maura had never hugged Berserker but neither were the clingy type or the opening up type of person. She dug in her pocket and pulled out a lollypop for Berserker to eat. She then popped it in his mouth as a treat for him being so nice and protective of her.

Corona had been on search missions before, but this was ridiculous. He couldn't fly nor could he sense Maura's spirit energy. How annoying. It was doubtful she left the island, so that narrowed things down a bit. The first time they met it was in the forbidden zone. Maybe if he headed there he could find her? He really wasn't sure. But it was the best lead he had, no matter how unlikely.

Berserker and her soon made it to the forbidden, he was such a loyal creature. She looked around the area trying to think about some of the past. She looked at the trees and couldn't help but wonder what it was like to be happy and have parents to teach you thinks like bike riding and swimming. She learned anything normal people learned from Berserker who wasn't exactly normal.

Corona sat in a dead husk of a former tree as he looked around for anything familiar. Or even anything living for that matter. He didn't see any sign of the girl or her creature, minion, friend... whatever she called it. Perhaps she was hiding from him or something. Corona found searching for people annoying in a human body. In his true body, he would be able to sense someone's aura and find them much more easily. Unfortunately, he didn't have that luxury.
