Maura walked with a limp through Poison Valley she wasn't effected much by the smells. She knew enough to not let the poisonious gases play with her head. She made sure she didn't go in certain areas that were more deadly than others. Berserker was in the holding place though she was able to call him, but she wanted to explore a bit. She had managed to get there on her own. She liked the redish brown and dead looking plants that surrounded the area. She saw various dead animals that happened to wander into the Valley and fall prey to the deadly poisons as well as some gases.

She looked at a small picture in her pocket before continueing to walk forward. She looked so innocent, but other people knew otherwise. She liked the death that lurked here, she skipped along in the valley carefree just liking the lonely death of it. It was kinda like a graveyard of the unburied. She smirked thinking about how fun it would've been to lead things here and not have to touch them to watch them die.

Baine had wandered in to the poisonous area. While he had little knowledge of the island, he knew well enough of poisonous plants from his studies. Every creature since he had awaken had come after him. But The End of Dreams decimated every foe that had so far challenged him. He also noticed that on anything without souls, such as plants or inanimate objects, the scythe acted as a physical, metallic weapon. Except it couldn't break or be disarmed from him.

Lesset had yet to awaken from his slumber. It had taken him a tremendous amount of energy to force himself into Baine's body, particularly due to Baine's age. Baine was still unaware of the demon that was inside of his body. But he wasn't worried about the demon now. He was trying to figure out how to get out of wherever he was.

It wasn't long before he noticed a girl in the distance. He quickly ducked behind a rotted tree and glimpsed from behind it to get a better look. She was pretty young, but not too bad looking. Sweet and innocent, she would be easy prey. Because Baine had no real ability of his own, he wouldn't have been able to see Berserker even if he was there. His overconfidence in the scythe made him completely unafraid of the girl. What a fool he was.

Baine stepped out from behind the tree, his scythe remaining unsummoned. "Hey, girl." He said in a not-too-friendly matter. "Not a very good place for one such as yourself to be at alone." He grinned darkly.

"Hey, girl. Not a very good place for one such as yourself to be at alone."

"Shut up, why would I wonder here if I couldn't take care of myself." She growled, she hated being classified as a 'helpless' little girl. She summoned Berserker, he was her only protection so his being able to help her was important. She wanted to beat these boy up a little, show him who was boss. Berserker appeared beside her, whether the boy could or couldn't see him didn't matter. What mattered was the boy learning his lesson.

She smirked, "Besides a little helpless boy shouldn't be out here either." Okay he wasn't exactly little, but she was annoyed. She had wore a pink shirt with a black pair of collotes. She looked so sweet and girly and yet she was such a inward homicidal maniac. Who would suspect someone so young and peaceful?

The End of Dreams recognized this threat and pulsed within Baine. However, Baine's lack of knowledge about the weapon meant that he didn't realize this. He thought maybe the weapon had a yearn of blood lust. He didn't see the creature Maura summoned, and still considered her easy prey. In his right hand the scythe of darkness formed. He held it up in front of himself menacingly. "You should learn to respect your elders, girl. Maybe if you give me some information I could let you live.. as my slave, of course."

"You should learn to respect your elders, girl. Maybe if you give me some information I could let you live.. as my slave, of course."

"Are all guys this stupid?" She asked Berserker with a smirk, "Your on Darci Westington's land, you realize your trespassing and she's a witch so she can kick your backside without evening seeing you." She said with a light laugh. She decided to make the boy think that Darci Westington was the one giving him problems and not Maura.

She gave Berserker the go ahead, and Berserker whipped out a chain attached to a large metal ball with spikes. He swung it in the air coming at the young stupid boy. Berserker wasn't going to kill him because Maura had promised to not kill anyone. But she wasn't told she couldn't beat up guys who treated her like a baby.

Before Baine could respond, Berserker attacked. The scythe reacted to the attack and told Baine to block, but Baine didn't quite understand since he couldn't see anything. He took a direct blow to the chest and got sent back flying next to a large mossy rock. He swore loudly as he opened his eyes and sat himself up. "What was that!? Are you some sort of witch?" His mind came to the conclusion that this had something to do with that Darci. But the scythe seemed to be able to sense danger.. maybe he could use that to block those attacks and kill the girl? For whatever reason, he was tempted with Blood lust.

The scythe wanted revenge.

Baine stood up and quickly recovered from the blow. "You'll pay for that you little wench." If he had any sort of skill at all with the scythe, Maura would have been long dead by now. But Baine's foolishness would see to him being a terrible master of the dreaded scythe. Regardless, he rushed Maura, holding out the scythe with a single hand (as the weapon had no weight).

"What was that!? Are you some sort of witch?"

"You disrespected me, you deserve to die pig." She said annoyed and aggreviated. Berserker moved sleuthily and quickly doing as Maura usually asked for. Which would be quick painful acts of torture such as bending one arm so that it sent pain down one's back for a day. She liked to give people pain, she knew that most anyone had a kind of pain that made thems scream in aggony.

"You'll pay for that you little wench."

"No I won't. You will." She had Berserker send a punch at the boy's head. Berserker was a overprotective beast, always trying to protect her from any form of threat. So if she wanted to he could've killed the boy right on the spot seeing his inexperience. But then again she made a promise and not to mention Corona being her 'friend' she imagined she'd be a bit safer.

The end of Dreams instructed its master when to block and Baine did so without argument. Berserker's first collided with the weapon and nearly caused Baine to lose his balance. However, searing pain would be sent up Berserker's arm as the scythe damaged his soul. Collision with the weapon meant pain, whether or not it attacked you.

It was for a split second Baine could see his enemy in front of him. It wasn't spells being sent at him, it was a creature! And it was strong too, significantly stronger than himself. But with his overconfidence, he decided that a creature like Berserker wouldn't be his end. He yelled loudly and swung the weapon upwards at him.

Berserker's arm did hurt but he was a man that was more of a monster. There was pain but he wasn't one to yield to pain, that was something he learned when he had been normal. He decided the scythe wasn't worth touching, he'd have to get the boy himself. He sent a punch with his uneffected hand towards the boy. His strength would send the boy flying backwards but wouldn't hurt him too much seeing there wasn't anything too hard for him to hit to injure himself.

Berserker moved quickly avoiding the blow he came from behind. Seeing the boy couldn't see him and he could only guess where he was, even if the weapon knew not every thing the weapon said would be heard. This creature wasn't a living thing it was something that could die but could be resummoned just not by the same person. He would be stuck in this form till he was able to pass on by finishing the time determined to protect. He had a total of 3000 years left to serve. He wasn't about to let Maura get harmed, it was his job to protect. He drew a chain, the chain was something unseeable just like him, whatever weapons he had in the hold were invisable. Anything that wasn't from the spirit hold were visable and easily blocked. He was normally a swordman but he had a chain for long distance fighting.

Where did it go? Baine quickly stood after receiving the blow. His body was starting to sustain fairly serious damage, but the blood lust from the scythe made him completely unaware of it. At this rate, he would fight to the death without even realizing his condition. He made a bee-line towards Maura, deciding he would fight Berserker only if if he got in the way. In a battle against a summoner, you killed the summoner, not the summoned creature. At least Baine had some sense in him.
