Lelei checked the flyer again. The standard size piece of paper was dwarfed by the clutches of the giant shark man as he leaned his head toward it, and peered at it closely. He wanted to make sure he was getting the address right. He was in a part of town that he had not had the opportunity of visiting previously, so the names of the streets and the numbers of the buildings were confusing him a little. But between the magic of a smartphone and the handy direction provided on the colorful advertisement, he made steady progress towards the Empress Dance Studio.

The purple and gold flyer had caught Lelei's eyes one day while he had been patrolling on campus, during the now warmer days. Pinned to one of the outdoor bulletin boards, the flyer advertised a deal on dance lessons for a few select days. Now Lelei already knew how to do a little bit of dancing originating from his native people, but he had not learned anything beyond that. Dancing was not a huge a hobby of his, but he was interested in learning some of the styles the studio was offering. If nothing else, it would give him a few new moves to use while he was out clubbing.

He finally managed to arrive at the Empress Dance Studio, built into an outwardly unassuming space next to a large gym. Most dance studios were plain-looking on the outside anyway, as all the money went into a nice dance space inside. Judging by the fact that Empress was located near downtown and pretty clean looking, Empress must have been fairly successful. The people filtering into the studio also meant that it was not unknown at least.

Many of the people entering the studio shot Lelei a questioning look, which was unsurprising. Lelei was a giant shark man and he was dressed in the best he could manage for the occasion: a pair of tight purple surfer's leggings. It was better than going nude, which even he knew was inappropriate, and it was the only thing that would allow for the greatest range of movement. Regardless, they still went in and did not say anything when he followed in after them.

The studio was definitely a good, and expensive, place. The wood floors were polished to perfection and all the dance amenities were available. Also, to Lelei's pleasure, there were also other men there. Some were obviously there with their significant others and others were there for themselves. Lelei may have been the only giant shark man, but he was not the only non-human, which he was thankful for.

Taking a seat in the waiting area, he shot everyone a little wave and a smile to try and get them more comfortable with his presence.

Amphy loved to dance.

It was in his blood, pulsing inside of him from the tips of his ears to the curl in his toes. In every single part of him it flowed. It was how the forest spoke through him and his sisters, and how he spoke to the forest too, swaying arms like leaves as they whispered secrets to each other.

The one drawback was that Amphy was not a good dancer when he hid his faun lower half. The change in the construction of his legs made the elegant and free motions of his legs that much harder to deal with. But all the same, he wanted to dance. It felt inherently wrong to him that sometimes he just couldn't dance. That was not what he wanted. It just didn't feel right, you know?

So he dealt with it.

But upon seeing the flier on the corkboard outside of the auditorium, he let a shy smile don his face. A studio for dance lessons... that was perfect. A professional showing him how to move his legs the right way, to get re-accustomed to the shape and bend of his legs that his slightly morphed lower body turned topsy turvy.

It was a nice day when Amphy elected to wear nice, stretchy pants and a T-shirt as he walked to the dance studio, his hat still placed nicely on his head to hide his horns and ears. He doubted that dancing with a hat on would go off without a hitch, but he would rather not be tossing around a head of horns all willy-nilly and deal with almost putting someone's eye out.

He pushed the door open and drank in the decor of the place. It was spotless to the point of madness, with floors so polished he could just about see his reflection in them. Looking around, he noticed that there were people clearly taking the class with their lovers, which made the faun's heart lurch a little. It felt awkward being here alone, without a significant other to dance with.

Amphy fidgeted and walked over a wall, setting down his bag and giving the room another once over.

Was that...?

It was!

Amphy was all smiles as he walked over to the burly shark man. It felt like it had been ages since he'd last seen Lelei. "Hello Lelei," He said, his tone pleasant. "Fancy seeing you here, hmm?"

Lelei was making some small talk with another prospective dance learner when he was treated to a very pleasant surprise: Amphy. He almost did a double take when he looked back over to meet his greeter. A big toothy smile was Amphy's first response from Lelei.

"Amphy! Hey!"

He jumped up from his seat to loom over Amphy once more, but this time in a friendlier and more casual way. Lelei was excited to see Amphy again. It meant more than simply having a familiar face in the class. Seeing the boy again, and being greeted with such openness and affability, could have meant that Amphy was glad to see him in more ways than simply intimate. Their last encounter had almost all been "close", with little in the way of "getting to know each other". But that did not mean they still could not be friends, or more.

"It's nice to see you here too. Here for the lessons?"

Lelei sat back down and patted the empty seat next to him, offering it to Amphy.

"I saw a flyer at the Academy and I got curious. I though it would be interesting to learn some land dweller dancing styles, in addition to my native peoples'."

He leaned in close to whisper, with amusement in his voice.

"... Meeting cute guys was only a side benefit. This time."
