Deith's eyes were blank for a moment, still lost to the wonderful feeling of being fed. That was most likely what Tao expected to be his vulnerable moment after feeding. His mind was briefly in cloud nine, but that was snapped out by the sound of skull breaking, of brain pieces squished out and thrown to the floor and wall.

Deith turned his head to Tao, and blinked the haziness away from his eyes. "What..? That was a pretty low attack..." he mumbled, before turning his full body to Tao and walking closer. He eyed him for a moment. He was good as new now, but Tao was still wounded. He didn't feel right, for some reason. It was... most likely his dead lover's kindness rubbing off on him. The dead man's soul was, after all, inside the pendant around his neck. This dead man was the only person who had taught him how to be a good person. Although he never truly became one.

"I'd heal you, if only I could," he said. "But the most I could do is make your body believe the wounds don't exist. What do you say? Or are you going to insist you're just fine?"

"Fine!" he said, people not leading his life would probably have a harder time with the blood loss then he did, though he managed only because of habit. Illusions were no good, then he would fight as normal and unknowingly strain his wounds "Just, no illusions. It'd be best if you could kill of the remaining before they escape and squeals about me weakness"

He leaned against the wall next to the guy who he recently squashed, looking at the remaining brain substance crawling down the body. He kicked the body though what was left of the head stayed in the wall, after all he had used some of his super strength to do that to a human skull.

"Oh, I guess you're right."

They wouldn't want to strain those wounds unknowingly, now would they? He patted Tao's head. It was out of habit, and he was fond of patting people that interested him, so he really didn't think carefully about that move before moving forward. "We should catch the rest then."

He headed out, disappearing into the hallways ahead of them. The noises of fighting would be easily heard, with the building's walls making everything echo. One moment later, one would hear some stabbing sounds, and then a scream, and then choking, before gargling sounds and blood splattering on the walls. These were later on followed by more shouting, with more people involved, though the end results were always the same.

(You wanted to let Deith help Tao?)

He was petted by Deith... Was he that week, so week he looked like a wounded animal? He started to move, walking towards the stairs. It was one of those caged spiral stairs so if anyone came at him in the stairs cage then he could take them out easily, though he needed to go to the tenth floor.

"Deith, are there anyone left?" He wanted to know so that he could get to the top floor where he had hidden supplies, the supplies where limited though with a used bandage and one outdated canned food, unless they had been found "I might have been a little reckless, starting this fight with the wound you gave me.".

Deith came back a few minutes later. The only sound that accompanied him was the echoing of his footsteps, and one could tell, there was already nobody else around. "I don't think there's still anyone," he answered immediately, since he's already heard the question a while ago, thanks to the building's cold walls. "There might still be a few in the upper floors but I'm not feeling any strong presence anymore. You wanted to get to the top, right? I'll just accompany you. I mean... I don't mind having more souls to eat if ever there are still some left."

He started to walk again, this time heading for the stairs. He looked over his shoulder briefly. "What's in the top floor?"

"Used bandages and an old canned food" He was quite happy with that, well he always wanted better but he was used to it so he wouldn't complain however once he had gotten this thing started and money would roll in he intended to buy a bunch of new canned food to begin with.

Finally up to the tenth floor Tao took a few deep breath, hoping Deith wouldn't notice, it wouldn't look good for him if anyone saw him as weak. "Urgh, what have they done?" he whispered to himself once he opened the door which would lead to his future office, well the entire floor would be his but this room had a special place in his heart. He looked around at all the trash that others had put in the room, it was worse now then before. He sat down on a trashed up couch and pointed up at a corner close to the roof, pointing to the ventilation which wouldn't work "They are there"

Deith, however, sensed his weakness. He didn't point it out, seeing how Tao tried so hard to pretend like it was nothing, and instead just tried to guide him to the tenth floor as fast as he could without exhausting him.

He shouldn't have stabbed him. He was regretting it now, since Tao was such an interesting kid and... He'd like having him around.

When Tao pointed to the vents, Deith immediately went there and propped himself up on a table so he could get closer. Opening it, he took out the supplies, before giving it a good stare, and then bringing them down.

Used bandages and canned food. Deith clicked his tongue before going to Tao, holding up the supplies for him. "You sure about this? It's gonna infect that wound of yours, you know."

If only he had some kind of bandage with him, or any cleaner cloth that was long enough to wrap on Tao's waist...

He sighed and kneeled in front of Tao. He put down the supplies, and then ripped his left sleeve from his shirt. He removed Tao's upper clothes gently, and then put the sleeve right on top of the wound before wrapping the bandages around the young man's waist. "That sleeve should keep you from getting infected," he said as he tied it and finished. He shot him a very small smile and a shrug, before standing up and stepping away. "I regret stabbing you, just so you know."

"Wha..." Tao begun refusing but sinse he would be bandaged anyway he stooped himself. He had lived here for six months and had to use that bandage on several occasions so he should be immune to that type of infections, right?Having Deith being so nice he couldn't possibly tell him.

"I regret stabbing you, just so you know."

"Er... I regret mauling you." He wasn't used to someone regretting a violent attack before so he wasn't quite sure what to say or how to act. "Y'know eating helps the body heal, would you mind opening the canned food, we can share" This was another thing he had gotten used to. He and his friends opening canned foods with a knife and picking up a mouth full of food with two fingers before passing on the can to another person.

Deith gave the canned food a good look before taking it and opening it with... Ah, no wait. He brought it back down and cleaned his pocket knife on his shirt so there was surely no blood left on it anymore. And then he took the canned food again and finally got it open. "Here," he handed it to Tao quickly after. He wasn't sure what it was, he didn't really read the label. But whether or not it was something he'd eat, he thought it would be better if he gives all of it to Tao.

"I just fed, remember? You need that more than I do," he said, before slumping down the old couch beside Tao and resting his head against it. He didn't realize until then that he actually felt exhausted. "That was fun, honestly... But it's been a while since I used up so much energy. I actually feel tired, can't believe it..."

It was chilli with beans, spicy food would bur away any germs or this was the idea since he and his previous friends didn't get sick to often. Taking the can when it was given to him, taking a few bites like he had done so many times before by using two fingers as a spoon, before stretching out the can in an approving manners to show that he would share even knowing Deith had eaten souls though real food should taste better, shouldn't it?

"Nah, I like to share." It was true, he did though it was mostly because of his past in this world and not because of a good nature, even if he had a good nature he usually wouldn't show it after the creation of Fight Club.
