<div align=center>Oblivion took a step backwards, "merely because your friend said it a little while ago, I just assumed that you were William." He pointed out, gesturing to Spirit as he said the word 'friend,' though it was more than a little unlikely that he'd end up telling the boy his name, that'd mean he'd know who he was, Obie didn't particularly want that, then again it'd be unlikely he'd ever seen him again, it was a rare occurrence when Oblivion even came into contact with anyone else, he was surprised he'd even met William, students didn't often come out into this part of the woods, though he supposed the boy was one of the braver ones, it made him smile, he recalled someone who was so nervy that his very presence had made Obie feel slightly uneasy, he'd twitched at every sound unfamiliar to him.

Obviously this boy was the opposite, and he thanked God for that, Obie couldn't stand people that he might have seen as insipid. "Summoned spirits," he echoed, he couldn't say he wasn't even a little impressed by that, "that's pretty cool I guess." His amber eyes switched down to look at Spirit again, he couldn't help but wonder what the two creatures were for.</div>

Well, that was a new one. He couldn't remember ever hearing someone say that his power was cool, not even on the island, let alone out there in the world. It made him grin madly, pleased, and take another look at the other boy, deciding he liked him more than he initially thought. Thus, he also decided not to mention the fact that they were quite far away from here when Spirit mentioned his name. Instead, he turned his head back to Spirit, grinning.

'You heard that, Spirit?', he asked. 'You got a compliment.'

'You are aware that I have much better hearing than you, right?', Spirit asked in a (fake) mocking tone, but he was also pleased with the dark boy's reaction. He stepped closer, sniffing the air, trying to separate the other boy's smell from the heavy smell of the Stix.

'However, excuse me if I stay on my guard duty until we find out the young gentleman's name.', he added in the same tone, his body tensing as he just couldn't find a way to smell him. 'Especially because he apparently doesn't have a smell, and, now, how can that be? You be ready, too, Warrior.'

Surprisingly, the supposedly mindless creature followed.

'Come on, relax, Spirit.', William tried to calm the creature down. 'It's fine.'

'Hmph.', was the only answer he got.

<div align=center>"My name is Oblivion, if you must know," his gaze shifted to Spirit, and he held it. Though he didn't plan on hurting William, what reason did he have? Oblivion might have been an awful person, but he didn't see the point of senseless violence, he was a selfish person, he enjoyed doing things that would benefit him, and it wasn't as if he could kill the boy and take the spirits, it didn't work like that, they wouldn't listen to him, they'd most likely vanish as soon as William was dead, then again, Oblivion didn't even know what the strange creatures were for, nor what they were capable of. He was wary of the one they addressed as 'Warrior,' it was creepy if anything.

Oblivion laughed, he hadn't realized he didn't even have a scent. He supposed he'd spent so little time around humans, it was a questionable statement to even say he was human, judging by the way he looked and the things he could do. He was a little faster than your average human, too, though he supposed that was a mere adaptation than anything else, he'd spent a lot of time above the ground, he liked to climb, high places made him feel safe.</div>

'I must.', Spirt said, his fur still a bit ruffled but generally, he saw no reason not to trust the boy at the moment.

'Satisfied?', William smiled a bit, glad in some way that Spirit was so protective, even more than his role as his guardian ordered him to be. It was a nice feeling really. He looked ad Warrior, wondering how long until he would be more like that too.

'Then, glad to meet you, Oblivion.', William laughed again, noting the boy's strange name. Who in their right mind would name a child like that? He said nothing though. He didn't want to start a fight with the other boy... Yet. He looked like a good fighter, so why waste a good match? He didn't want it to be to death, though, so he would wait, a bit.

He looked for something to talk about, so he asked. 'What are you doing here? It's quite far away from the school.'

<div align=center>"I know what you're thinking," he mumbled, lazily, "that's not my real name." In truth, he didn't know what his parents had named him, or if he'd even been given a name. Oblivion was merely a nasty nickname the children at the orphanage had given him, he'd merely adopted it, he wasn't imaginative enough to come up with a name himself. Besides, it wasn't the same. Then again he supposed a nice name given to him by his mother would have been far nicer, though he supposed in a way it had been his fault she had died, not in a direct way, he had only been a few minutes old.

What are you doing here? In truth he didn't really know what he was doing, he was usually here, though he never really did anything you could call productive. "Nothing much," he answered, laughing, "the school? Oh, I wouldn't call myself a student." He smiled softly, though it wasn't something you'd call a pleasant smile. "I haven't been near that place for a while." He struggled to think about the last time he'd even gone to a class, he didn't really see the reason why he needed to, "don't plan on going near it again any time soon, either."</div>

'Should've guessed.', he said, stretching his shoulders. His muscles were starting to cool down since he was staying still for so long, and he didn't want them to, not when he could be in for one more race soon, and with an added opponent at that. He really wanted to challenge Oblivion, but how? He really didn't want to resort to insulting the boy, but if it came to that... And than his answer gave him the opening he needed to ask.

'So you basically sit here all day and look at the sky?', he said, tilting his head to the side. Spirit saw what he was doing, and snorted while getting ready to run again himself. 'Ain't that a bit boring?', he smiled, a wide, grinning, almost made, but also inviting smile. 'Maybe you will be up for the game of tag to break that boredom up?'

<div align=center>Oblivion yawned again, idly scratching the back of his neck, he wasn't willing to explain the story to William, nor did he think the boy would really care, he wouldn't care if it was the other way round. He considered the question for a moment, he supposed he could use some entertainment, though he'd remembered tag as a children's game, perhaps not the way these guys played it. An opaque, black ball appeared above his outstretched hand, he played with it for a moment, before pulling his hand out from underneath and letting it drop, it faded away before it even had the chance to hit the ground.

"Explain to me," he mumbled, "how it would work?" He wasn't all that keen on the idea, though he guessed it could be fun for him in the end, but he didn't see how it was all that fair, there was three of them and only one of him, he couldn't help wondering if he could breach Spirit's mind, though since he wasn't a real animal, besides, he was too intelligent for that, Warrior on the other hand... He didn't think so, he wondered if he should even try or if it would backfire and cause them to attack, he didn't particularly want that.</div>

William's smile grew even wider and more predator-like even though in the game he had designed he would be the one acting like pray. However, there wasn't one think about him that would ever say 'weak' ever again.

'It's simple.', he said, taking a step back. 'All of you', he pointed at the tree of them, 'hunt one of me.', he pointed at his chest, still grinning like a mad man. 'And also each other.', he knew that was the only way that the game would be any fun with Oblivion also playing with them. 'The first one to catch me, wins.', he started explaining the rules, thinking them up as he went. 'Also, the first to defeat the other two, wins. But, be careful when you do that, because,', he raised his hand, like he wanted to get their attention, 'if I succeed in running away for more than an hour, I win. The only other way for me to win is to disable all three of you.', he tilted his head, trying to think of some more rules. 'There will be no weapons,', he raised one finger again, 'though that mainly goes for Warrior, I'll have to give him a very precise order before we begin. There will be no climbing, and no hiding, though that mainly goes for me... And each fight that happens must stop after the first blood.' He grinned again like a wolf. 'That interesting enough for you?'

<div align=center>Oblivion shrugged, sounded easy enough, though he hadn't seen the boy in action, he was probably a lot stronger than he let on, Obie had decided he liked him, a rare occurrence for him, since he generally hated everything and everyone. He nodded, feeling something heavy land on the top of his head again, he glanced up, "does she count as a weapon?" He asked softly, the Strix eyeing William cautiously. She let out a short, appreciative noise, and relaxed a little, evidently feeling a little more comfortable around him. The only trouble with using her was that Obie would be forced to remain immobile while he had control of the creature.

He frowned at the mention of no climbing, Oblivion was fast, but not as much as if he was able to climb, he was able to get from branch to branch quickly, he'd been compared to a squirrel as a child, but now there was a far creepier aspect about it that most found unnerving. The Strix was technically part of his power, he hadn't summoned her, but she was his main source of navigation, and she could deal out nasty wounds if she wanted to, her talons were almost the size of Oblivion's hand.</div>

'Hmmm...', William though, eyeing the Stix, and its long claws. He then eyes Oblivion's face, concluding that the boy was somehow connected to the owl, perhaps the same way he was connected to both Spirit and Warrior. He already had a big disadvantage because both of them could always feel where he was, he didn't need another one, but heck... What was the fun of the game then?

'No.', he grinned. 'You can use her, but the first blood doesn't count unless your body is within eyesight of the victim, that being me, Warrior, and Spirit, though I'm not sure if Warrior can actually bleed.'

The mentioned creature suddenly moved, raising his long sword out of scabbard, cutting the palm of his hands on the sharp blade. Thick, dark liquid started to form on the surface of the wound and fall to the wood floor.

'Well, I guess that's taken care of.', William said, a bit surprised himself.
