Wesker's words lit a fire in the girls stomach. If there was one thing that pissed Live off to no end (although there were a lot things that pissed her off to no end), it was people making sexual comments towards her. "In your fucking dreams." She grunted between gritted teeth.

Live narrowed her eyes as he turned around. She was still really peeved at him but she had to finish up these stupid exercises.

As she went to reach her arms around his body (which was a bit difficult given his height), his arm came up, shoving her grasp out of the way and throwing off her balance as he moved away. "Why you little shit." Live snapped, her hands clenching into fists.

"You really want to play this game. Fine." Her gray, dull eyes began to darken until they were two swirling black holes. "Let's dance pretty boy."

Live's reactions to Wesker's prodding only served to widen his smile. It was always pleasant to find someone pliable to his banter, one way or another. Almost as enjoyable as finding someone who could match him at a duel of prose.

Wesker had truly only intended to enact the maneuver they were being taught. Perhaps he had misunderstood something. Almost instinctively, he opened his mouth to begin explaining away the misunderstanding, but then he closed it again as the spark of curiosity lit up his eyes once more.

Rather then clear up the matter and avoid conflict, he simply took a step forward and raised his arms in front of him in a defensive stance. He was willing to let Live's fire burn, but he wouldn't be making the first move.

Maybe it was that she had failed so miserable at the move that Wesker's almost perfect execution of it pissed her off so much. It probably also had to do with the multitude of other mental stresses she had been under the past couple weeks. She just was not in a good head space.

The teachers had not taken notice of the two and had instead paused farther down the field to confer about something. Depending on how things escalated though, they were likely to sooner or later.

Around Live, a small pool of darkness began to grow as she pulled from the shadows hidden in the grassy field. Darkness was never in short supply. Her eyes narrowed and she lunged forward. Once she was in range she brought her right fist up, aiming for the side of his face.

At most times, Live was very calculated and careful with her actions. However, when she was emotional, especially angry, she became much more rash. But as long as she didn't completely lose control of herself, she would at least retain control of her abilities. If she did totally fly off the handle...well things would get dark.

Wesker's outward expression didn't appear to be fazed by the pool of darkness growing on the ground. Perhaps he was well versed enough in her abilities to have expected something like it. Perhaps he had simply dismissed it as irrelevant to the current matters. Either way, he was ignoring it and focusing on Live.

His left hand spun up in a circle and deflected her punch away from his face, while a similar motion with his right palm pressing against her stomach attempted to shove her back.

A small chuckle escaped his lips. This was proving to be entertaining. His victory didn't have to come from defeating Live by physical means. If he simply outlasted her, that would be sufficient. He might as well have fun with it.

At the beginning of the year, everyone in the class had shared their "reason for being at SA". Live had also lost her temper one other time last semester in this class. However, her power's had not manifested beyond swirling black eyes and a little pool of darkness at her feet.

As Live was shoved back, her feet dug into the ground, the darkness also assisting in stopping her and regaining balance. She was going to try to regain her mental clarity as well, realizing if she wanted to not look like an idiot she'd need some composure, until she heard a chuckle come from the boy's lips. Yeah, mental clarity right out the window.

Her head snapped up, eyes seeming to grow darker as the blackness began to spread out from them around the rest of her face. Her skin started to become almost disillusioned, less physical and more just pure darkness. Even her hair now swirled with an essence of a black hole.

"Don't...laugh AT ME!!!" Live's voice grew louder, way more emotional, and shifted to something not so human, the sound coming less from her mouth and more from the darkness itself. Both her arms at her side, her hands opened, pulling darkness up from the ground and into her palms. She thrust her arms forward, sending the darkness flying towards Wesker. Her shadows wouldn't be something that could be blocked (unless you had some sort of sun power), only dogged. They were only as strong as Live was and if they hit their target, the force would be equivalent to both of Live's arms slamming into him.

Wesker quickly began a backstep both as his shove proved less effective, and as Live began calling on her power. While he took measures to be informed about those around, Live's powers were a shrouded subject. in That regard he'd have to speculate.

As the darkness fired towards him, he was forced to make a decision. The wrong one was chosen as he dug his heels into the ground only to have them torn back out as the orbs crashed into him.

He wasn't thrown far, really just knocked to the ground by the force. Regardless, there were a few beats of stunned silence following the impact. Wesker pressed his hand to his eyes as he finally pulled himself back to his feet and... began to laugh.

The laugh was of someone amused, yes, but there was a slight manic undertone to it. Now there was something cold, predatory. When he took his hand away from his face he also presented Live with a pair of dark eyes, though not of the void as hers, but with the glinting spheres of a spider.

He gritted his teeth in a smile that seemed much more genuine as he darted towards Live. He feinted a straight tackle only to kick to the side at the last second, reaching his arms around her, trying to trap her in a deadly embrace.

Live was quite pleased with herself as her attack made contact and her opponent fell to the ground. His sinister chuckle and own shifting eyes only seemed to further provoke Live, filling her body with an adrenaline she had not felt before. It felt good.

As he darted towards her, Live braced herself for the impact, her lower legs shifting into shadows so they could literally ground themselves with the darkness at her feet. When his move changed suddenly to come from the side, Live didn't budge. As his arms wrapped around her, a huge smirk came across her face.

In a swift movement, her form destabilized, becoming all shadow. It was like she just turned into a black swirling blob. She moved this form through his arms and around the back of him where she began to re-materalize into her physical form. Her head moved closer to him, her lips stopping just an inch from his ear, "Can't catch what you can't touch." She whispered.

She brought her left knee up, trying to knock his legs out from under him.

As Live taunted him in his ear, Wesker raised his elbow rapidly in an attempt to jab at her face. Using the momentum he spun around to face her just in time for her knee to crumple one of his legs.

His eyes darted down to her leg as the muscles in the one he still had planted pressed against the ground. Dust billowed up into the air as he skidded a short distance away from his opponent. "... Catch?..."

This is bad...

He could feel himself slipping away now, his rationality giving way to instinct. Even as he was fighting Live he was now also fighting himself, against a single thought.

He wanted a taste.

Wesker continued to laugh as his hands grasped at his coat and threw it off of his body and towards Live. He hoped it would either somehow contain her incorporeal form or stun her in a solid one. Meanwhile the lower half of his body had begun melding together and growing. Several spindly, chitinous appendages appearing and anchoring him on the ground once more.

Now in his drider form he once again lunged for the shadow that was Live, now even faster then before and cackling just as much. All he had to do was snatch a bit of her that was currently darkness, right?

Wesker's elbow started to make contact with Live's jaw and she quickly changed forms pulling herself away from him as he skidded away as well. She re-materalized, rubbing her jaw. She had managed to stop the impact from hurting her neck but he had still gotten her jaw pretty good.

He threw is coat at her with impeccable aim. It was about to land on her body so Live simply shifted her form again so the coat fell right through her and onto the ground. She left it there, partially materializing above it so that she could draw on the shadows that were created below it.

However, doing this caused her to miss the transformation that Wesker made and it wasn't until he was just a few a couple feet from her face that she realized what was about to happen. Her form was mostly solid so when he snatched at her, it made physical contact around her waist. She winced and quickly changed forms, moving herself about ten feet behind and away from him. She kept her form mostly shadow, only part of her upper body, face and arms remained visible in their human form. She winced again, grabbing at her side.

Even with the clouds covering the sun, Live could feel the drain of the daytime on her. She couldn't hold this form for much longer and since Wesker was now in a much less human form as well, her own strength would not be much of a match for him.

She was contemplating what her next move would be when she heard yelling from behind her. The two teachers had finally taken notice and were moving quickly towards them. She knew one had super strength and the other was some alien species but didn't know exactly what their abilities were like.

Feeling pressured and angry, Live turned to face them, "STAY AWAY!" She barked, as a wall of shadows flared up in front of their path. It was a waste of her energy and a distraction from the spider guy behind her but irrationally angry Live was not paying much attention to that.

As Live vanished from his grip once more, Wesker's eyes began darting around to find her again. His many legs slowly turning his body around as his head swayed from side to side. It didn't take too long for him to place her once more.

When Live distracted herself with the instructors, Wesker of course to his opportunity to lunge at her once more. In a single fluid motion he lifted her into his arms and bit down on her shoulder. The bite would be painful on it's own, but it would soon be followed by the venom burning into her veins as Wesker lapped up the blood spilling into his mouth.
