January 2016
Oh, gym class. It sucked whether you went to a "normal school" or Starlight Academy. You had to wear an ugly uniform, play stupid games, and just generally have a miserable time. Live would have rather been forced to watch romantic comedies than be stuck in gym class for an hour every day.
The class had only just begun and what would yah know? They were going outside. Live had already informed the teacher multiple times that she could NOT be in the sun under any circumstances. She had even done the thing where you got a note from the school doctor. Live was basically allergic to the sun and after just ten minutes in its rays, she'd black out. When Live had heard the announcement that they would be going outside, at first she had been relieved because that usually meant she got to stay inside and do something else. This had already happened multiple times and it was the only good thing that had ever happened in the class. Unfortunately, it was a very cloudy day, though it showed no signs of raining, so Live could join the class outside! She still grabbed her hoodie and hat though. She didn't want any of that sunlight on her skin.
Live huffed as she followed the group outside, staying far to the back. There weren't a lot of kids in the class, maybe about thirty or so, and while just about everyone else in the class had found at least one friend to wade through the disaster with, Live had successfully managed to avoid social contact with anyone thus far. They made it to the sports field and everyone moved to stand around the teacher as they explained that today they would be learning some self defense.
"Well..." Live thought to herself with a sigh, "It's not the worst thing that could happen..."
"Okay! Everyone get in a line!" The teacher yelled. Naturally, Live moved herself to the end of the line. The teacher went down the line, assigning everyone a number one through sixteen. "Now get with the person of the matching number. They will be your sparring partner for the day!" Live groaned internally. Maybe this was the worst thing that could happen.
She looked around to spot the other person who had been assigned number 15. And saw Wesker Straundlin walking towards her. Live let out an audible groan. Why did it have to be this kid? He always had on the most ridiculous smile for literally no reason. It pissed Live off to no end.
