The two girls didn't need to clarify to him that he didn't want to get into a one on two fight with them. He was weak on multiple levels, from his physical to his supernatural abilities, and from the sound of their thoughts they seemed perfectly confident in their capabilities. And did that chick just make a notepad appear out of thin air?
Zelyn looked at Liliana with a fake look of dismay when she indirectly accused him of encouraging violence. "I wasn't suggesting anything violent! No, no. Just a friendly rumble, you know?"
At this point, Zel realized that convincing these hard-headed, law-abiding council members was not an option, especially now that they were backing each other's statements up.
He let out an exasperated sigh when she mentioned their supposedly "superior" position. "Man, you guys never want to have any fun, do you?" he said, in a way that sounded like he was pitying them. He then shrugged, adding, "Oh well, that's what happens when you give a bunch of kids a fancy title like "Student Council." They get a stick up their ass."
Following his words, a Cheshire grin formed on the cat-boy's face, and he moved his hands behind his back. It didn't seem like he was very intimidated by her poor threat. "I can't really lose, though..." he announced confidently.
When his right hand reemerged from behind his back, he was holding a snowball that seemed to magically appear in his gloved palm. In reality, while it
looked like he was standing their with his arms behind his back as he spoke, he had actually bent over to pick up a snowball.
"Since, well," he continued his sentence. "I don't have much to lose!"
With a swift motion, he tossed the snowball in the direction of the girls. The ball seemed to miss horribly, however, and went straight between their heads, hitting a person that stood behind them.
That person, a burly orc with a single tusk emerging from his bottom lip, did not seem happy to receive a fistful of snow to the chest. There was a moment of silence as everyone stared at the now fuming orc, which was then broken as the orc let out a powerful battlecry and returned twice the fire in Zel's direction.
Once again, someone was caught in the crossfire as the boy narrowly ducked underneath the massive snowball, and this time they were quick to react and send more snow through the air.
"Snowball fight!" Zelyn shouted as he stood back up. Being the delinquents that they were, everyone was quick to join in on the pseudo-violence and within moments countless snowballs were flying left and right within the group... and in the center of it all were the three who had been arguing.
In the chaos of the shouting, laughter and snowballs, Zelyn made his attempt at escape - slipping between the crow of delinquents and into the shadows.
