Euphemia knew that she was still ignorant of many facets of life on the island, but this was perhaps one of the harder things to shake. She’d spent her whole life aware of the dangers of demons and monsters. While she had managed to coexist with a few so far, incidents like today only seemed to reinforce why she needed to stay on guard.
