Malek's eyes widened at her mention the word dragon. "Wait your a dragon? I am too! Well......half at least." Malek pondered at her question on the fun places on Manta Carlos. "Well lets see....if your a risk taker and looking for excitment and a deathwish there is the forbidden forest. There is the Manta Carlos Zoo, I've heard something about a carnival going on......and I dont know about any other places. As you have likely already seen...Manta Carlos isnt very normal." Malek smiled at Laelynn. "You said your a mortal deity....deity of what might I ask?

Lăelynn considered the places Malek suggested. She'd go to all three if she had time. Or she could just come back agian... She looked at Malek, almost missing his next question.

"I'm not exactly a deity of anything myself. I was raised by the chinese deity of love and marriage. My job is to edge the tied together couples into a situation where they'll be more likely to meet and fall in love. Is there a place where I could find a map of the island?"

Oh that sounds like a great job, must be great to know your the one that caused such a wonderful couple. Actually one sec I know they sell maps....somewhere." Malek pondered the possible places. There was about three he could think about on the top of his head. Two of them were on the other side of town. "Well if you dont want to take a long walk there is one shop a block away that sells maps of Manta Carlos. I could take you there if you want." Malek smiled, its the least he could do for her really.

Lăelynn hopped gleefully and clapped. Not only was he cute and friendly but he was so polite too. How she hoped everyone else was as friendly to her.

"Oh please do! I really want to explore every inch of this place. I've never seen a place quite like this, and there's so many different kinds of people... It's just enchanting. I can't get enough of it even just standing here."

Malek smiled "Well then just follow me please!" With that Malek turned around and took off, hoping she was following him. He didnt even look behind him to make sure. He trusted that she was following, she seem so excited to be here so why wouldnt sheb About after ten minutes of walking they made it to the map store. The sign above the store radiated light, reflecting the sun's rays. It just blandly said Maps . Inside behind the counter was a tall, sulky man. His three eyes met with Malek's frowning, obviously not happy with his job. "What do you want?"

Lăelynn cheerfully followed Malek, grabbing his hand so she wouldn't get lost. As he'd said, it was a bit of a long walk, but she'd passed the time by singing a cheerful little tune in chinese.

Lăelynn cheerfully approached the three-eyed man, oblivious to his sulking. She bowed to him politely as she introduced herself.

"My name is Lăelynn Yuèliàng, I'd like to buy a map of the entire island if you have any~"

"Fifty dollars." The man didnt really care what she had to say, she wanted a map? Fifty dollars. "Fifty dollars for a map?! What in Mal's name is with your price? I could buy a complete map for twenty in any other store!" "Well ours are drawn by hand with the better details of Manta Carlos than any of those other maps you will find here. I should be charging you one hundred but luckily for you Im in a good mood today." Malek laughed at that before walking towards the counter, begrudgingly giving the man fifty dollars who in turn handed a map to Laelynn. "Have a good day." "Yea yea......." Malek said nothing else and walked out the store.

Lăelynn watched the encounter confused, unsure of why the two seemed to grate against each other like that. She slowly took the map from the man and followed Malek.

"I could have payed for that myself you know. I do get payed for my work in Spain. I don't like it, but I'm forced to take it. I have more than plenty to buy a map."

Lăelynn skipped forward a little to link her arm around Malek's. She watched him curiously as they walked.

Malek smiled and looked at Laelynn. "And it may not look like it but I'm filty rich. I could have bought the store if I really wanted to. But anyway think of it as a favor that doesnt need to be repayed. A welcoming gift to Manta Carlos." Malek's face went red when they linked arms. It was sweet but people might get the wrong idea. "U-um so Laelynn, you said you were a dragon.....what type if I may ask?'

Lăelynn smiled and hugged Malek's arm tighter to her for a breif moment. She noticed the red on his cheeks, but didn't comment. The dragoness assumed it was just the warmth of the sun.

"I'm a fire dragon, we think. I can't manipulate anything and I have no elemental breath, but my wings are always on fire so papa and Sensei just assumed that was my element. Not that I'm much of a dragon though. I can't fly as a dragon. I can glide but as soon as I start flapping I get unbalanced."

She made a face at her own comment, a little displeased with her abilities.
