Candycorn [ReD]

Aeon was ready. She was wearing her Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland Cheshire cat costume--which, admittedly, was mostly a makeup and a hat she'd crocheted for the occasion--but still. Her jeans were a shad of light blue and she'd pained stripes on her sneakers before checking herself in the mirror once more.

Okay good.

She was ready for this... 'Halloween'.

Cabel had been around her a fair amount. It was one of those things that if this were a novel she was pretty sure he would be the character she hooked up with at the end. There were a few flaws with that though--one being that she actually wasn't one-hundred percent sure how Cabel felt about her, the other being--

"AHHHH!" She screamed when she opened the door, looking into a frighteningly realistic giant kitten mask, her back hitting the wall before she recognized the voice.

Yeah. That was the other thing.

It took her a few minutes for her heart to stop pounding. "Oh jesus. Oh cripes. Y-yeah I'm ready."

Aeon blushed at his comment, but luckily between the makeup and the facepaint, it was exceedingly difficult to tell. She stopped leaning on the wall and coughed. "Yeah thats--thats what i was doing."

She grabbed her key and slipped it into her back pocket.

"Uhhh..." she thought. "You mean other than Spooky Scary Skeletons?"

@"ReD"

"Ghost stories?" Aeon echoed. "Uh, I don't think so, but there are stories about ghosty unicorns leading thirsty horses to water."

The unicorn covered her mouth as he turned and bonked right into a wall. As loathe as she was to get closer to the giant cat head, she couldn't have him bumping into everything--it would only slow them down.

Aeon reached out and grabbed Cabel's wrist. "Come on."

Closing her door behind him, she walked down the steps out of her house. "Eh, you know. Spooky Scary Skeletons and shivers down your spine, that one."
