Zora had to chuckle goodnaturedly when Asteria lightly reprimanded her for what appeared to be advice on romantic relationships.

"I'm afraid Ezra took that upon themselves." Zora said remembering how he had peppered Donny and herself with questions, asking for clarifications and being politely insistent and very observant of the two adults who had been flirting very subtly.

"Ezra is extremely curious, observant and logical. I am afraid he deduced a lot of that by themselves," she told Asteria. "We only helped clarify some notions, often incorrect notions, about certain relationship-related topics. No harm was meant, and I do apologise if it appears that my friend and I were deliberately trying to educate him on sensitive matters," Zora informed her.

"It's quite all right, Miss Del Bosque. I am aware of Ezra's insatiable curiosities. I have learned it is better to humor them then to try and stifle their need for answers, as they will just go and try to figure it out regardless. But I thank you for not diving too deep into the romantic field. I am so unprepared for the 'talk' and having someone else do it horrifies me even more."

She laughed, then took another sip of her mimosa. This was surprisingly nice, just being able to go out and have a nice drink or two with a new person. Almost like a friend hangout but they weren't friends. Just business associates. Asteria set her glass down, briefly looking at the untouched menu in front of her. "We should probably order food at some point, shouldn't we?"

"We probably should take a look," Zora agreed as she glanced at the menu before her."I hear the food here is pretty stellar. My aunt is coming here on a date with her boyfriend, well, not quite her boyfriend, not yet, but they will be here on a date..." she explained with a grin, thinking that it was rather a nice place, cosy and probably romantic too, if you came here with the right person.

Picking up the menu, Zora glanced over the appetizers and dishes, she even looked at the desserts which looked frankly heavenly. "Would you be overly adverse to skipping the appetizers and entres altogether and going just to the desserts?" Zora asked Asteria curiously.

Asteria only nodded at Zora's remark about her aunt and her date, unsure of quite what to say. It was information that wasn't related to business, so was this her way of trying to be more friendly? For her to make Asteria let her guard down? It could have been a ploy of some kind, but maybe she was genuine? She glanced at her menu as well, and narrowed her gaze at the woman sitting across from her.

"Miss Del Bosque," Asteria stated, her voice stern and slightly harsh, "We are here to discuss business. We are two successful women and we are expected to maintain a professional and mature persona whenever we are in public. I am quite surprised at your questioning." She paused, staring at the woman for a long moment before grinning.

"Of course we're ordering desserts now. It's not even noon and we're drinking, I have been a boring adult longer than most have been alive. I am entirely out of fucks to give at this point." She laughed, picking up her menu. "How many should we order? Two? Three? Tell them to surprise us?"

"We are that," Zora said glancing across the table at Asteria and grinning, "But boring? No, we certainly are not. Giving two fucks? Well, maybe, once and a while, but most definitely not at the moment," Zora declared as she put the menu aside, called over the waiter, consulted with him, and then set up a tasting menu of all the desserts on the menu.

"Dessert is being served ... All eight varieties..." Zora said with a wink, "A tasters menu with two extra deserts thrown in that are not on the set menu and are the chef's specialty." she explained.

'Oh, and I took the liberty to ask that they put another bottle of champagne, but this time from Mont Chandon Reserve 2001 on to chill," Zora said choosing a very delicious but expensive bottle of champagne from the wine list.

"Ooh, my dear. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were either attempting to seduce me or butter me up for another business proposition and either one has caught my attention." Asteria grinned, finishing offer her mimosa and preparing herself another. This had shifted from a business lunch to a lunch date with a new friend very quickly, and the artificer was unsure of how to feel about that. Part of her was wary of the sudden tone shift, yet part of her didn't quite mind at all. It was nice to have people to socialize with. However long their socialization lasted, though. The joys of being an immortal, watching everyone you love eventually die from the ravages of age.

Although the island did boast more immortals than anywhere else, so, who knows? "So, Miss Del Bosque, shall we continue our business discussion while we wait for the desserts? The whole point of this meeting was for business, after all. And I do hope that we can keep our newfound business relationship strong for the future."

"Well, I guess you will have to stay and find out which one it is then," Zora chuckled good-naturedly as she finished her mimosa and also helped herself to another after Asteria served herself another.

"Truthfully, it's nice to deal with another woman for a change, most of my clients tend to be men or of the male persuasion," she said as she sipped at her drink and crossed her legs, sitting sideways slightly as she listened with apparent interest to Asteria talk for a moment about commencing with business.

"Of course," Zoraida said with a curt nod as she sat a little straighter in her chair, all professionalism now despite the fact she had a mimosa in one hand. "You were saying?" Zoraida inquired giving Asteria her full and undivided attention.

"Ugh, some men are wonderful when it comes to business meetings. But some just see you as a pretty face who don't know how to run a successful meeting. I mean, seriously, I'm immortal and am arguably one of the richest women on the island with centuries of knowledge. No petulant man-child who just got their business degree is going to tell me how to better my portfolio, especially when my portfolio is older than he is." Asteria ranted for a moment before laughing. There was something about these young men who thought they knew better than her. She had been around for far too long for that kind of behavior to be remotely acceptable, so ruining them had been nothing more than a simple bat of the eyes and wave of her hand.

"As for our more private business, I'm looking for any information on the inter-dimensional beings known as the 'Sho'lai'." She paused, briefly spelling out the name. "This needs to be done as discreetly as possible. I have contacts within the Veil who I had pulled some information from but I'm a little too well known and some aren't willing to share so I need an outside influence to pull it from them. I'll provide you with what I know so far if you accept this offer, and included in the documentation will be a non-disclosure agreement. I will pay highly for the information and even more so if you can give me the sources."

Zora broke out in a grin at her comment of her portfolio being older than most of the men vying for her business. She knew what she meant in a way. Zora was not as old as Asteria, but some things stayed annoyingly the same. Investments and acquisitions still tended to be a man's game, and Zora had had to claw her way to the top through savvy investments and expansions that had almost quadrupled Woodland Imports and DB Holdings earnings in less than two years, turning both companies into the biggest and most influential players around.

"Sho'lai" Zora repeated as she grabbed her phone and agenda from her bag and wrote all the pertinent information down, considering a few alternatives to what Asteria proposed since he contacts extended a lot further than hers did. That much Zora was sure of, the Del Bosques were an old influential line with fingers in more pies, tarts and tea cakes than many would ever suspect.

"An NDA is standard procedure anyway, I don't generally do this type of business unless one has been signed by both parties. What I do for you, must also be kept, shall we say - between us and this here champagne bottle," Zora stated as she looked at Asteria. "My companies' methods can be somewhat unconventional and therefore, I prefer not having to worry about rival trying to get a leg up or their nose stuck where it doesn't belong..." she said with a tiny grin as she sipped her drink.

"I expected a NDA to be standard, but I have to really emphasize the secrecy of this. Honestly, I agree with the idea of what's been discussed being kept between you, me, and this soon to be empty bottle of champagne. Honestly, if you are able to find the sources of these bits of information, I am definitely going to need names. And I don't mean your sources, I mean your source's source's source." Asteria stated before taking a long swig of her mimosa. She wasn't trying to be too pushy, but the fewer people knew about the Sho'lai, the better. She was unafraid of salting the earth in this scenario.

"For now, though, I'm content with enjoying my mimosas with good company and hopefully wonderful desserts and put all that nonsense behind me." The witch sighed, sagging back into her seat in a dramatic fashion before downing the rest of her mimosa in a single swig.
