Bumpy Road

If Gabe said bitch one more time Diego had a feeling he would just collapse right then and there.
"You can just stare at your own reflection from my bumper as you eat my dust."
Diego snickered and crossed his legs, his other knee against Gabe's leg. Diego leaned back against the couch and did a big, exaggerated nod at Gabe when he asked about the super weird toppings.
"No joke, real human bones. I kinda do and don't wanna see the face of someone who orders that."

Of course Diego went with Yoshi, and waited until Gabe went and of course picked Rainbow Road. Diego turned his head in a similar creepy fashion as Gabe and narrowed his eyes at him.
"So the Tree God likes to play hard? In that case the Wind Lord will show him some good time."
Diego grinned and turned his eyes to the screen, ready to kick some Gabe butt.

"Shut up, Wind Lord sounds cooler than Wind God. And it doesn't even matter, when I'll win."
Diego wasn't about to get depressed over throwing a weaker comeback, because he was still raring to go and beat Gabe and Peach to pulp. During the countdown Diego and Gabe both revved their engines, and when the light became green they both got the boost, racing neck to neck.

Diego cackled and chuckled as he and Gabe competed from the first place, and Diego in his haphazard way moved his hand all over while turning in curves, swaying left and right on the couch and bumping onto Gabe.
"All I will eat is the sweet wind on my face, and you can taste the dirt!"
And just then Diego got a speed boost and jumped to the first place with a victorious laugh.
"Try and catch up, Perch!“

Diego sent a smirk at Gabe as he sped ahead, enjoying the competition. He was definitely going to wave his victory in front of Gabe's nose for at least a week if he did win, Gabe was adorable when he was frustrated and annoyed.
"Oh man, the wind in first place tastes sweet."
Diego said and snickered, giving Gabe a small shoulder bump, small enough so it wouldn't disturb the guy's racing.

Diego and Gabe both got item boxes, and both waited with tension what they'd get. And they both got green shells. What were the odds? Well, Diego didn't really care, the shells were kinda meh, but Gabe got excited and cackled maniacally. It was cute.
"Nah dude, my ass is the wind. You're the Tree God here."
Diego answered with a snicker, he didn't actually think Gabe would hit him. Diego tried throwing one of his shells behind towards Gabe, but he missed. And one of Gabe's shells hit his second shell, blocked, and Diego let out a "Hah!". But just as he let it out Gabe's third shell hit and sent Yoshi sprawling.
"Oh come on! Those things never hit!"
Diego complained as he was left behind on third place. He immediately started to chase after Gabe, no way he was going to give up here.

"I talk big and I win big, bro!"
Diego answered with tongue on his cheek and begun to chase after Gabe, Yoshi speeding like crazy across the Rainbow road. Diego did snicker a bit and nudge Gabe when he got the mushroom. And when Diego got to the same boxes he waited impatiently for what he would get. And cheered when he got a red shell.
"Oh, you're going down, Perch!"
Diego said and laughed when Gabe said he'd be eating humble pie. Diego passed the person on the third place, and as he got to a straight and had Gabe in his sights Diego turned to smile smugly at Gabe.
"You know, green is totally my colour, but lets see how you look in red."
And with that Diego sent the red shell on its way, and when it hit Gabe Diego let out an explosion noise and tilted himself to lean on Gabe's shoulder, cackling.
"Don't worry, I'll save you a piece of pizza after you're done with you humble pie."
Diego said as he speeded past Gabe.
