Bubblegum [The Magic Spoon]

Shellie smiled and scribbled something onto her notepad--"Date with Grant, 9 o'clock"--before clicking her pen again.

"No, that's good enough for me hun," she said setting down the notepad behind her register. "It'll be waiting for you at nine."

Shellie gave the pirate a wink as he walked away from her counter. Once he was gone she giggled to herself and did her work with a chipper giddiness that saved one man from getting her infamous Kiss Tax.

She locked up the shop and went to her apartment above it, and although the place had been neat, it quickly turned into a warzone as she fussed over what to wear.

Were they going someplace fancy? Would they be more casual? Or maybe she should go easy on the makeup, or maybe she actually needed more?

Freaking out, she just dressed as nicely as she could, as 9:00 pm rolled around.

Shellie was putting the finishing touches on her lips when her phone alarm went off and told her that it was 9:00 pm and that Captain Grant Mackenzie was standing outside her door. She gave her hair a second brushing before going to the door.

On this date, the small witch had decided to go with a high low dress. The front part raised up to just above her knees, while the lower part was to her ankles. Her bangs were pulled back into a ribbon, which sat sweetly on her head.

"Hello, Grant." She said softly. "I see you're here to pick up your order."

She offered him her small hand.
