Maddie subconsciously reached over to wipe the chocolate off his chin with her index finger and suck it from the finger.

She glanced out the window, still somewhat worried. When she focused on him again, she was smiling.

"You're right. We should start walking over to the art museum, right? We can eat on the way there."

Maddie took his hand. She was the opposite, way more interested in her coffee than her...c-c...chocolate roll.

She pushed her side to his, barely paying any attention to where they walked. She still seemed in thought.

"U-Uh....no?" she tried to sound convincing but failed. "I was thinking about my friends."

That was half truth. She was thinking about them... just in a tsunami.

"No, no. You don't have to do that, Kiwi. I'll get over it. Like you said, it should be fine, right?"

The art museum was in sight now, and this caught Maddie's full attention. Her mouth fell open again.

"That looks...Have you been there before? Look at it, Kiwi!"

"The Loovre?" she repeated, making a weird face. She couldn't pronounce any of this stuff.

Maddie looked at all the art, but she didn't stray from Laetus' side. She wasn't actually sure which were considered good — all of them? This was for famous paintings, wasn't it?
