Klaus' baby sister Gladys was coming to stay with him today! He'd only met her once, but she was absolutely precious, and great cuddle material. He was already biased, deciding she was one of his most adorable siblings. He loved all of them, of course, but he did have his favorites. The teeny tiny demon vampire girl with a 'look at me' aura, little fangs, currently useless wings, and ribbon decorated hair was sure to have an easy chance at climbing the rankings- especially now that she was going to live with him.
Some of his minions were supposed to be meeting up with dad's at a portal, then driving Gladys (in a nice car with tinted windows- he's got your sun allergy covered kiddo) to his current most used living place, a tall house near the strip.
Klaus already had a lot of her stuff set up in one of the guest rooms, as well as a few surprise gifts he'd pestered dad and her mom for advice with. Apparently she wasn't familiar with them, and it'd always been a fun part of his childhood, so a cute little handheld video game console (and starter games he thought a baby sister might like) was included in the presents. Dolls and clothes seemed to be the thing to go with in terms of risk-free offerings.
He wondered if she liked movies? They could have movie nights, that seemed like a good sibling thing to do- and Klaus very much considered himself a good older brother. The best, even. Oh yes.
Anyway, he'd stayed home to be there to greet her at the door, and to be the most prepared to help her settle in.
Something he hadn't needed to change was the fact that, even though it was afternoon, the windows already had blinds covering them. Klaus was a bit of a night owl himself, ready to fight the sun for its constant rude attempts to blind him, and, well… an infamous, high alert criminal. Didn't need anyone peeking in his windows and running off to play tattletale like terrified child. The actual child coming here now? Way better.
Klaus was wearing his more casual clothes (including heart shaped sunglasses) today, and he'd just finished making some varied sandwiches, in case Gladys was hungry. And churros- which were. Well, he'd wanted to eat churros, so that was that, and munched on them while he waited. He was prepared.
Living with a kid couldn't be too tough, right?
