RE: behind the sea (open)

Flinching visibly at the kiss, Leo tensed again, hissing softly at both the contact and the odd feeling welling up in his stomach. Struggling against Emilio ever so slightly and baring his teeth at the pirate. "Pare com isso." He grumbled, pushing at the man with his hands. Though as he felt the boat lift out of the water, another squeak erupted from him and he found himself clinging back to the stranger, peering warily out over the edge as the water got further and further away from him. It wasn't really that high up, but Leo had generally never been outside of the water, apart from those short times he'd spent trying hopelessly to blend in among humans on land.

"Não me chame assim." He muttered, frowning at the odd nickname and pushing himself away from Emilio again when he found that they were a safe height to climb out onto the deck. Doing so, though altogether a little slowly. Leo hopped from the little boat to the wood of the boat's deck, landing with a soft thud and taking a second or two to steady himself. Staring around himself for a moment, he'd seen a lot of boats, but it was strange to be stood in one. He briefly wondered how something as large as this was able to float like it did.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Emilio only smiled at the demand, and backed off slightly. Slightly. He was used to getting his way, and he wanted the boy out of spite now. He had no feelings of affection, and right now he just wanted something to keep his bed warm. The opportunity for that would come later, though. "Grande almôndega, então." No one had ever rejected his pet names, either, and he was starting to feel rather huffy over this whole ordeal. Why was he being rejected. Pushing harder only made the thing push back, and not pushing hard enough went unnoticed. Throwing a small tantrum, Emilio tossed the rope viciously back onto the deck, it's only effect being a slightly louder plop as it smacked against the wood.

Sighing, he managed to get a grasp on his emotions before turning back to the naked boy on his ship. "Venha." Latching onto the creature's arm, Emilio strode confidently to a large outcropping, digging in his pockets for the keys to the below deck. It would be just his luck to leave his ship for a few hours and return to find everything pillaged. For his most precious cargo, he kept hidey holes and dead ends, to confuse anyone trying to escape or steal from him. He had one large holding tank on his ship, for exotic and dangerous fish. It was large enough to hold an adolescent shark, and Emilio hoped it would be large enough to hold a little merboy.
Tugging Leo down the stairs, Emilio stopped to close and lock the door above them, a wicked smile forming as he heard the lock click. "There's no escape now, little meatball."

RE: behind the sea (open)

Leo had been sucked in to something bad again and before he realized, he was in more trouble than he had been five minutes ago. The man's behavior had changed and suddenly the little merboy felt altogether very unsafe, he wanted to throw himself back over the side of the ship and into the water again, but before he had time to even move a little bit, Emilio had latched onto his arm and dragged him down a case of stairs that he ended up stumbling on and half tripping down. It was hard to control legs you weren't used to having. The familiar click of a lock had sounded, and the sinister tone in Emilio's voice made Leonardo panic, and briefly made him ask himself why these things tended to happen to him. Baring his teeth again and letting out another soft growl, his eyes scanned the room to find anything that might help him in this situation.

Leo wasn't a violent creature, and he certainly wasn't cut out for fighting. But by God he absolutely refused to be captured without even a little bit of struggle, "no." He stated, his stance changing just a little. He might not have been very strong, but he was skinny in stature and far more agile than your average human being. "No." Another growl left him, a far more ferocious sounding one this time, "eu vou tirar o seu outro olho, seu bastardo!"

RE: behind the sea (open)

The boy was already looking for weapons around the room, and even though that meant he had kidnapped a more feisty creature than usual, he admired Leo for being so proactive. The tiny growling noises that came from the little merboy were quite cute, in their own way. "Yes." A little quirk of a smile lifted the corner of his mouth, and Emilio waved his hand around the airtight cabin. "No way out, no way in. You're mine now." He had no idea how long the boy could go with having legs, and simply assumed that he could be human indefinitely. Thinking around this, Emiliano figured it might be easiest to tie the boy to something until he could prepare a fishtank for him.

"Está com fome?" Emiliano was completely at ease in this situation. Even if Leo had come rushing up to him to attack, he figured he could easily overtake the boy. He sounded like a baby tiger, if anything, and it made Emilio smile fondly at his new pet. "You'll be sold shortly, anyway. The least I can do is feed you and see you don't get sick until then." An idea sparked in his mind, and Emilio tilted his head. "Lute comigo. Você ganha, você vai. Eu ganhar, você ficar." Opening his hands wide, Emilio invited Leonardo to launch an attack, his hands twitching to release some of the anxious energy he had built up.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Leo was pacing like a cat, low down and ready to attack. That was an offer he'd take up, he ignored the question about being hungry, however. He was far too cross to feel hungry, and he couldn't help but wonder why this human was still being amiable toward him. He didn't really understand what had been said to him in English, he'd picked up a few words but none of them really made any sense on their own. The pirate invited Leonardo to attack and he felt his body coil up like a spring, prepared to pounce on him and try to take him out. If there was nothing he could use as a weapon he could always try and choke him to death. Not that Leo had ever killed anyone before.

The boy sprang forward, almost making a move to dodge past Emilio and run for the door - but then he remembered it was locked, and so he paused for a split second, snatching hold of a portion of the man's shirt and drawing himself close, in a way far more aggressive than it had been a little while ago. A snarl tore from the boy's lips and he struggled, sinking his little pointed teeth deep into to pirate's shoulder and biting as hard as he possibly could, his mouth filling with the sharp, iron like taste of blood.

RE: behind the sea (open)

His new toy was pacing around the room now, looking like he wanted to murder. And really, Emilio couldn't blame him. Was this what the animal mothers felt when he ripped their cubs away from them? It made him feel a little bit guilty, and supposed this what karma truly tasted like. Welcoming the chance to cleanse his karma, Emiliano raised his eyebrows at how the boy moved, interested that he had almost looked like he was going for the door at first. His shirt was grabbed, and a piercing pain shot through his shoulder.

Swearing, Emilio grabbed at the back of Leo's head, not expecting him to have fangs. Ripping the teeth out of his flesh, he could feel the sticky wetness as blood oozed out of the wound. Tutting at the boy, he kept a fierce grasp on the creature's head, shoving him down to the floor and kicking him viciously in the side. He didn't want to bang the poor creature up too bad, maybe just exhaust him a little bit. It wouldn't be in good form to present a buyer with badly damaged goods; he had learned that very quickly. "Você fode. Vou me certificar de que você vá a um pervertido." Tentatively, his hand came up to his shoulder, pressing at the throbbing wound. Hopefully the thing didn't have any creepy diseases that could be transmitted.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Spitting a mouthful of Emilio's blood at him as he was yanked away, it spattered up the side of the man's face and onto his shirt, a beautiful shade of crimson that captivated Leo for a moment, before he found himself pushed to the floor and a sharp pain reverberate through his stomach as the stranger's boot collided with him. The boy yelped, curling up and drawing his arms up over his head to protect himself. Maybe he was going to die now. Maybe this was it, this human would kick him until he didn't move anymore, until he didn't breathe anymore. The merboy decided to welcome death with open arms rather than try and run from it, enough of his family had been killed by humans that he supposed it was only a matter of time until he went the same way. Tchau.

Though a second kick never came, and Leo wondered if this was a chance to try and fight again, shifting a little, taking a breath for a moment and latching a hand onto Emilio's ankle, driving his teeth into the flesh of his calf this time, shaking his head like a terrier dog and tearing at it. His mouth was full of blood again and he grimaced a little at the taste. The pirate's words had confused him though, what was he talking about? What did he mean?

RE: behind the sea (open)

Emiliano growled low in his throat as he felt a spatter of blood and spit hit his nice shirt. He had liked this shirt, and now it was ruined. By the time he could get it washed, the stains will have set in. Perhaps he could find someone in town who could get stains out.
As soon as his boot met Leo, a sick sense of satisfaction rolled over him. Maybe now the little shit would appreciate all he was being given. Food, a relatively warmer holding tank, and a master who would be screened before the purchase. But now, he would find the worst owner across the seven seas or so help him God.

Another bite rattled him, and Emilio squeaked in pain this time. His calf was not used to feeling pain; Arms and shoulders, maybe but definitely not his legs. A ripping sensation and he felt like Leo had torn his leg right off. But no, it was just flesh and muscle. Done with this game, Emiliano snarled before kicking the injured leg out, pulling away from those horrible little teeth with an intense burning pain. Aiming another kick at the merman, he lashed out against the boy's ribs, hearing something give and hoping it wasn't his boot. Blood streamed down his leg, and he knelt, punching Leonardo in the back of the head for good measure. Wrestling his hands behind him, Emilio managed to secure the merman, tying a rough rope right around his two wrists before looping it back over his stomach for good measure. Doing the same to his ankles, Emilio stood with some difficulty. "Now you can stay there and think about what you did." Leaving the room for a moment, Emilio went to find bandages to bind up the gaping wounds on his body.

RE: behind the sea (open)

That bite had been a bad decision. Approaching the stranger had been a bad decision. But things had happened now and there was no point moping about it. At the boot collided with his ribs, a pain like he'd never felt before wracked him as something cracked in his chest. The boy spluttered softly and a mouthful of his own blood came up this time, bright red and mixed with saliva. He panicked when he realized he was struggling to breathe. A fist collided with the back of his head and his face hit the floor boards, coming into contact with the wood with a loud crack. Leo briefly wondered if his nose was broken, and then he blacked out.

Leo awoke confused and dazed some time later, he had no clue how long he'd been out of it, it could have been minutes, hours, or days. He was still lying on the floor of the dark room, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth. Something hurt. Something really hurt, his breath was shallow, and each time he inhaled it felt like there were needles in his lungs. Leo whimpered at the pain, finding that he could barely make noise without feeling that horrific agony in his chest. He'd never broken anything before, let alone really been badly injured. "Morrendo."

RE: behind the sea (open)

Bandaging himself up, Emilio watched Leo laying on the floor. He looked passed out, but Emiliano had decided just then that he couldn't trust the boy at all. Cleaning up his torn calf had been a long and painful process; he'd ended up biting down on a gag to keep the pain down. Eventually, he managed to rub salve on both his calf and his shoulder, and bandaged them both. His leg seemed in worse form than his shoulder, and he walked with a faint limp now.

Leo seemed to be relatively subdued, and he pursed his lips. He couldn't just leave the kid there, bleeding on the floor. He would stain the floor, too. Going back to the supplies closet, Emilio hunted for a gag or a muzzle of some sort. Making do with a large monkey muzzle, Emilio was suddenly very glad for his animal smuggling hobby. Returning to the merman, Emiliano was a little concerned for a moment, hearing the ragged breathing and dying. Trotting over as fast as he could manage, Emilio slowly dropped to his knees, picking up Leo's head as gently as he could without getting too near those teeth. Wrapping the muzzle around his nose and mouth, Emiliano fastened it tightly around the back of his head before breathing soundly again. "Deixe-me cuidar de você, pouco almôndega." He would have to put towels down on his bed so the blood didn't go anywhere. Rolling Leo over tenderly, Emilio looked down into the boy's bloodied face. "Comportar-se, sim?"
