RE: behind the sea (open)

Warm. Leo's face lit up, this man couldn't be all that bad if he was offering him warmth and shelter, could he? Of course not. A suspicious little frown crossed the boy's features as Emilio drew his hand to his lips, and a panicked expression replaced it when he realized what was going on. An odd feeling was welling in the pit of his stomach, and a ripple of warmth flushed through him, blushing hard and snatching his hand away suddenly, the sensation confused him. He jerked away from the hand that came up to touch his face, glancing nervously between Emilio and the open ocean. It almost looked for a moment like he was going to flee again, but despite his hammering heartbeat, he didn't feel a sense of danger.

Cautiously, his hands went to the boat again, and his tail flicked uselessly in the water, spraying droplets everywhere and only succeeding in dangerously rocking the boat as he attempted to clamber inside it. He wanted to be warm and he didn't think he'd eaten in days, there was only so much you could scavenge around the harbour, limpets and barnacles, but they weren't really good to eat. He could sometimes steal part of the fishermen's catch, but raw fish every day wasn't really something most would consider good food.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Emiliano's grin spread when the boy jerked his hand away, a deep blue colour rising to his face. Both of his touches were rejected, and the pirate tittered at the creature. He looked like he wanted to dart away again, and Emilio nervously grasped at the net in the bottom of his boat. This was a massive paycheck, one that he would probably never see again in his life, and like hell he was going to give it up.

The merboy seemed to decide the right thing, and latched onto the side of his boat. Placing a hand on one of the merboy's, Emilio tried to steady the boat as he tried to hop inside of it. "Ah — um momento." Shaking out his fishing net, Emilio looped it over the side of the boat, hoping this method would work better than capsizing the boat and embarrassing himself. Tossing it over his merman, Emilio grasped at the rope handles, standing as he hauled the giant fish over the side of his boat. Dumping the creature to the bottom, Emiliano panted for a moment before sitting back on one of the benches, leaning down to clear the boy's head from the net, taking another moment to push his luck and caress the wet face. "Estadia por dentro na net. Por favor." Inside the netting like that, he just looked like an oddly large fish. Like this, no one would be suspicious of him carting anything like a merperson around.

Landing in the boat with a thud, Leo whimpered as it rocked again, bringing a hand up to rub the back of his head where he'd bumped it, and frowning just a little. He thought it was a little odd being asked stay in the net, why? What would happen if he didn't? He supposed there was a reason, though, so he merely nodded and did as he was asked. Leonardo had never been in a ship before, and even this little boat was exciting enough, watching the sky float along above his head. Blinking at Emilio, Leo lifted his head just a little, brow furrowed. "Name?" He asked, softly, his accent coming out thick, and soft. "Name?" He asked again, trying to confirm within his head that it was in fact the right word to use.

Humans had names, didn't they? Just the same as merfolk. Everything had a name, he thought, the dolphins had names, and so did the whales he'd come across every now and then. They were odd names, full of squeaks and clicks, but they were names nonetheless, not that they meant anything in a language that could be spoken by humans. "Quão longe?" He then asked, shifting uncomfortably, it felt strange not to be in the water, and the longer he was out the more he'd dry out, perhaps it'd do him good to change into his human form for a little while. "Legs."

RE: behind the sea (open)

The merman seemed to be content enough inside the boat, and Emilio breathed a quiet sigh of relief. So far, his plan was working well enough, and all he had to lift so far was the boy into his boat. He would have to think of a client crazy enough to buy an entire merperson, though. Someone rich and crazy. Hopefully they wouldn't do too many cruel things to the poor creature. He was kind of cute. "Ah, Captain Emiliano Ángel Elías Maradona. Yours?" It surprised him a little that the thing had asked for a name. The fact that merpeople named themselves came as something of a shock. It was his natural reaction to assume that Leo came from something of a barbaric, fish background. Hatch from an egg and live as a glorified fish.

Taking up the oars once more, Emilio pushed them towards the massive ship looming in the distance. "Ten minutes." He noticed his little fish person struggling for a moment, and noticed that the beautiful fish tail had disappeared. Startled and a little disappointed for a moment, Emiliano stared at the newly naked boy, shamelessly gawking at his body. His legs were a pretty mottled blue, and Emilio really wanted to touch them. Saving that for later, Emilio crossed one leg over the other, shifting as he tried to calm himself, thrusting all of his energy into rowing back to his boat. "You have pretty legs."

"Leonardo Fernández." He answered, a proud sort of tone in his voice, though hearing the captain's name, it was no where quite as impressive as that, and a ghost of a frown crossed the merboy's features. He shook it off quick enough though when he was told that his legs were pretty, he couldn't really keep them for very long, but they would be useful for the time being. "Easier." He stated, with a nod. Leo had no real concept of nudity, he didn't understand why it was odd to be naked in public, and he certainly didn't understand the sexual significance of it. Leo didn't really understand anything sexual, in fact. He'd only ever been kissed by his mother - and now this pirate captain, he supposed.

Pretty legs. Tilting his head at them, he thought he liked his tail more. He liked the way his scales glittered in the sunshine, although the sunshine had vanished of recent, so he supposed his legs were rather pretty. He pointed a finger at himself, and then at Emilio. "Pretty legs. Long name." He was pretty too, though. He had a pretty face, and pretty hair, and Leo felt that strange warm feeling again in the pit of his stomach the longer he looked at the pirate.

RE: behind the sea (open)

The more he found out about Leonardo, the more he could rack up the dollar amount in his mind. Perverts and collectors would die for a merman that could give himself human legs. He pushed away the thought of his innocent new catch being groped and molested by strangers, the odd pang of guilt echoing in his mind. He hadn't ever felt guilty about selling baby animals illegally before, so why now?

His ship was coming closer and closer, and he rowed with renewed vigor. The thought of being home warmed his stomach again, even though he hadn't been off the ship a couple hours. He would have to take Leonardo back to his store front for proper keeping. Perhaps he could call someone to build him an extravagant fishtank for the front. A pleasant smile drifted across his face as he imagined all of his customers coming to his shop just to see his mermaid. He would probably have to invest in fish supplies, too. Snapping back to reality, Emilio nodded. "Yes. Long name. Grandfather's name." Rubbing the side of his face, Emilio could feel the stubble scrape against his fingers. "Do you grow hair?" Emilio pointed at his own rough shadow of a beard, wondering if Leo could grow facial hair.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Leo wondered if he had a grandfather, he'd never met one, so he supposed he didn't. Or maybe he did, but he had died. That tended to be the case with a lot of his relatives, killed by hunters, merfolk seldom died from old age. Do you grow hair? Pausing for a moment at the question, confused by the English, Leo shook his head. The only hair he had was on the top of his head, and his eyebrows (and eyelashes.) The rest of him was completely hairless. It was all to do with being more streamlined, really, and most merfolk didn't tend to have hair, it was unusual if they did. "No. No hair." He answered, shaking his head for the second time. Besides, he was only sixteen, he probably would have been more or less hairless anyway, even if he could grow hair.

In awe of the beard that Emiliano boasted, a small, wet hand moved up to touch it, the boy shuffling forward ever so slightly to intently rub the pirate's face. "Nice." He purred, moving just that little bit closer to him again. The poor boy would likely regret climbing into the stranger's boat soon enough, he was all too easily lead on by a friendly face, or a few kind words - and this man was certainly all too experienced at offering those things to an innocent little boy.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Emilio grunted in response, wondering how old the boy was, or if merpeople even had a way of keeping time. Then again, he had legs, so perhaps he had come ashore to keep time... Somehow. The idea of a very different civilisation confused the pirate and only made his head hurt; it was much easier to believe in a primitive people that were closer to barbarians than actual civilised people. A wet hand came up to his face, and Emiliano pursed his lips for a moment. A hand was stroking his stubble, and it made it scratch a little uncomfortably.

He was far more eager to take the compliment, however, and gently paused in his rowing to place one of his hands over Leo's. Brushing his lips against the faintly blue fingertips, Emiliano smiled wickedly. "Sim ... Agradável, bonitinho menino." He liked that the creature had moved closer, and fully intended to take advantage of this. It probably wasn't a good idea, but maybe he could wheedle a bit of sex out of the unsuspecting thing. It had been an awfully long time since he had been with someone, and his potential buyer surely wouldn't mind ... "Venha aqui —" His voice trailed off into a seductive purr, and he reached out again to pull the little merboy into his chest, his warm arm wrapping itself over Leo's cold, wet back.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Flushing again at the compliment, Leo was beginning to feel all together far too warm and he really rather wanted to struggle over the edge of the boat and back into the cold, unforgiving sea. Salt water wasn't something he enjoyed - Leo far preferred the cool, fresh waters of the Amazon and frankly, he missed them from time to time. He could tolerate the salt water, but he'd rather not have done. Instead of flinging himself out of the boat, he found himself drawn into the stranger's chest, and an arm wrapped around his waist. This took him by complete surprise, the merboy let out a shrill squeak and more or less tensed up completely. Pressed naked up against the pirate, he found himself staring wide-eyed at him, a little unsure as to what was happening.

Realistically, it can't have been that hard to wheedle sex out of Leo - not that he even knew what to do in a situation like that, he probably didn't even know what sex was. He'd relaxed since being drawn close, though only a little, his hands drawn tightly into his chest as if he didn't really know what to do with them. "O que você está fazendo?" He asked, his voice soft, almost lost above the gentle lapping of the waves at the boat.

RE: behind the sea (open)

Emilio laughed aloud at the little squeak his new friend had made. What an interesting noise; Emiliano really wanted to make him do it again. He had plenty of ideas on how to go about achieving that, too. Leo didn't seem to be struggling at all, rather, he seemed to more or less accept being thrust into a stranger's chest. Taking his as a sign that Leo was being wooed, Emilio lifted his head for a moment, enjoying the minor victory. Perhaps it wouldn't be too difficult getting what he wanted out of the kid, after all.

Tucking his head down to the crook of Leo's neck, Emilio pressed his lips to the bottom of the merman's jaw, lingering for a moment before retreating once more. His hand, still on the small of his back, teasingly drifted up and down in a petting motion. He had almost missed the question, and Emilio purred his response. "Aquecendo você acima, pouco almôndega." He was quite fond of stupid pet names, and had a thousand random names stored in his memory to make his one night stands feel special. Letting go of the oars for a moment, Emiliano gently took Leo's hands from their stiff position, drawing them around his waist gently. "Warmer." Patting the boy, he set back to work, pushing them towards his ship. It wasn't long before they were before it, and he steadied their small boat, grabbing the wet ropes dangling in the water to tie them and haul them up to the deck. Grabbing the other rope, Emilio yanked hard on it, the salt-rusted line moving slowly before it gave, and the small dinghy was pulled up inch by inch, until they were high enough to safely step out onto the glossy wooden deck. "Depois de você, pouco almôndega."
