If Leo had been braver and stronger, he might have used all he could to yank the pirate to the tank and drown him. The image of him struggling as he forced his head under the water was almost hilarious right now, but all Leo could do was thrash and send a small tidal wave of water over the edge of the tank and out onto the floor below him. He might be sold to be eaten, but that wasn't so say he wouldn't find a way to rip out the seller's throat with those little pointed teeth and throw them in a pot instead. Quivering so violently that the water rippled around him, Leo made to swim down to the bottom of the tank instead, settling back in one corner.
At least he couldn't be touched in here, and if Emilio wanted him he'd have to get in and get him, and if that happened Leonardo would hold him under the water until he stopped struggling. There was no use hissing and making a fuss, he'd realized. It got him no where and only seemed to make the human lash out at him. The boy had turned away, his back to the pirate. For all he cared, the godforsaken ship could sink with both of them in it.
