Okay, so maybe it wasn't the best idea to randomly schedule a date night. It was out of the blue and uncalled for, much like his life. Cairo only wished that Jericho would focus more on his studies and not on him, but considering that that seems like a long shot, he realize that he should just make the best of their time together. It had been quite a few months since they had started dating, after all the drama that has surrounded them and their relationship. For Cairo, this was more than just a random hookup that just so happened to turn into a relationship. He had really bonded with Jericho, as if he was meant to meet him in this lifetime, while having to go through many hardships and fuck ups to get to that point. Today, was a rather special day in his opinion.

All he had said to Jericho was that they were going to go out on a date and for him to clear his schedule so that they wouldn’t be interrupted by pesky people. He tapped his phone impatiently, not being able to wait for the excitement that came when he saw his boyfriend. He had planned a rather peaceful night as opposed to an extravagant one, as he didn’t want to alarm Jericho. Unbeknownst to him, the man had actually quit one of his jobs in order to focus his schedule more around where he wanted to go in life. Cairo wouldn't admit it, but he was really only truly happy with the other man. His little Jericho-bun.

Ever since that day a few months ago, Jericho had been head-over-heels crushing on a formerly mysterious playboy. Well, he couldn't quite bring himself to believe that yet. He needed that extra push of both reassurance and courage. Emotion isn’t black and white, after all. But even he had agreed that he had lingered in the gray area for far too long, and he wanted something concrete for themselves. Both members of the couple deserved it, after all.

Jericho had marked the address Cairo told him to meet at in his phone, and opted to take public transport downtown instead of flying. He worked to make sure he didn’t look like he was thrown in a blender, so his hair was neat and his clothes in order. He wasn't wearing anything too fancy. He was casual about this whole thing to play it cool. There was no need to be flustered in front of his boyfriend.

Now he was traversing the sidewalk to find him, looking around for a glance of his heavenly figure. It didn’t help that due to his closeness to him that his power over empathy could vaguely detect where he was and how he felt. It made keeping tabs on his well being easier, anyway.

As he rounded a sidewalk corner, he saw him standing whilst facing away from him. A large grin pulled on his face, as he casually approached him so that he could hear him just enough to not freak out and beat him up for sneaking behind him.

"Well call Buckingham Palace because it looks like England is missing royalty." He chuckled, his wing gliding over his back as he slid over his other side to kiss his shoulder. "That’d at least explain why I get to go on a date with a prince." He was beaming at this point, so happy to see him again. School had been busy and Cairo had work. It was good that their conflicting scheduled allowed them to meet up like this. "I missed you."​

It was special, this moment. Cairo just wanted to hold onto the feeling of happiness he had. It wasn't as if he knew that he was going to be unhappy soon, but he knew that there was always a possibility of that. His breath echoed in the mist that came around him, as it was a bit later in the evening. Tonight was only for Jericho, to show him how much he really mattered. His body tensed up a bit as he waited, not quite being ready for the nip that it gave him. Cairo just hoped that his little flight partner had bundled himself up.

He jumped at the sound of his voice, feeling a presence behind him that slowly sneaking his way to the front of him. The kiss he gotten felt like their first, and it hadn't even been on his lips. He shivered, giving him a high level of excitement already. "Oh my, giving me all the compliments. Though I think you're talking about yourself, Jeri-bun." He got out before leaning into Jericho. After a moment of staring into his eyes, his hands cupped the cheeks of his partner as he closed his eyes, giving Jericho a rather elongated kiss. With a bit of silva in between them as he pulled away, his own face was beet red. "I-I missed you too. If that wasn't obvious." With a nervous chuckle, his hands and body moved away, leaving Jericho with some breathing room.

Together again at last. It looked as though Jericho’s greeting went over well, and that made Cairo beam more than usual. He was happy to see that he was happy, and hoped the rest of their date would go this well.

He chuckles again a bit, a blush clear on his cheeks, though that may have just been from the nippy weather out. "Who me? I couldn’t be a prince. I’m American." He joked lightly, though at the end of the day that didn’t matter. What mattered was that he was being pulled in for a long, drawn-out kiss. He pressed himself against him, sealing their lips together as his hands slid down his arms to clasp his hands. He stood there, time still, for a few moments that seemed like infinity. Just being with him like this was special enough, regardless of what the night held for them later on.

When they pulled away, he smiled brightly, the warmth in his chest strong enough to ward off the chill of the outside. "I think I can tell. You really are a great kisser, you know that?" He leaned in to give one more kiss to his forehead. "So, what’s on the agenda for tonight? I hope you’re not too cold, because I wouldn’t mind anything indoors or out."

"Americans can totally be princes, you just need to believe, yeah?" It was a cute comment that Cairo couldn't seem to look past. Oh how humble his little flighty boyfriend was. The kiss on his forehead made him bat his eyes, unsure if he was going to explode from all the cuteness his partner was giving him. "Well, I'm glad you think so, since there will be many more for you in the future." It may have been a bit of a tease, but oh well. Due to the fact that Jericho had been longing for his hands earlier, he grabbed the closest and entwined their rather chilled fingers together, for more than warmth. "Well I have you here to warm me up, now don't I?" With a smirk, he only stated at his counterpart to see if he was anymore flushed than before; it was hard to tell. "Well actually, we are going to be going inside rather soon there, no worries." With that, his long legs started to walk to the same pace as Jericho, not wanting to be out of tune. "It's pretty close, so hopefully you don't freeze too much, Jeri-bun."

"Well, if you say so, then it must be true." Jericho smiled softly, flattered by the return of his pickup line. He was a keeper, for sure. He had to restrain himself from grinning like an absolute fool in front of him, but that was getting harder by the moment. "You really do spoil me." He stated in a bit of a hum.

The sun had set, and it was getting to the point that each of his slightly shaky breaths was visible by a cloud of condensation. He wasn't cold, and that may have been due to the fact that he was used to flying at altitudes where it was chilly no matter what the weather was. "Oh of course. What's a boyfriend besides an affection-activated space heater?" He asked rhetorically in a small chuckle. His left wing slightly unfurled to sit on his shoulder, to try to warm him up slightly. Luckily they found themselves moving soon, so that they could warm each other up.

He wasn't sure where they were going, but he was happy to follow nonetheless. The city was pretty this time of night, but not near as much as his boyfriend was. "Psh, don't worry about me. I like the cold, anyway. Makes me wish that it was going to snow. That would really make tonight perfect." He looked up to him, though only slightly due to the fact that he was just an inch taller. He supposed that may be part of why he became a model. "But I know you're pretty good with surprises. So that's what I'm looking forward to the most."​

"I'll always spoil you." Was all he said until he picked up the pace a bit, feeling a chill run down his back. For a while, Cairo just stayed quiet, as he wanted to only listen to the breathing of their entwined breaths, as if to count it. It was peaceful to just walk with someone he had strong connections to, in the coldness. "I'll always worry, even if you say not to. I care about how cold you are." With that, he cuddled closer to his wing and his body, wanting to stay together like glue. "I hope you're surprised. It's um, a big night to say the least." After those words, Cairo remained quiet until they stopped in front of a store. This store however, was something he knew that both Cairo and him would enjoy. "Want to go look at some animals for our first stop"

He really did feel like royalty around him. Cairo really had come far from where he once was. To think that Jericho was once a meaningless one night stand in his eyes, which was a stark contrast to the partner he would eventually become. This thought lingered in the Nephilim's mind as he walked side-by-side by his boyfriend. These months with him had been wonderful, and unbeknownst to him, would culminate to a special point.

"Cai, I've been so high up in the air that I've seen snow form with my own eyes. A little chill ain't nothing." He assured confidently, though shortly after looked at him with softer eyes. "But... Thank you for caring. Really.

As the moments grew with them walking, his anticipated began to go through the roof. Just what was up his sleeve? His answer was given soon as he found himself standing in front of an inviting store front. He looked up to see that it was in fact a pet store. And in that moment, he went to being 19 years old to about 5.

"Oh my god oh my god are.. are we getting something???" He asked in a bit of a too-excited voice, eagerly looking in the windows at what the store had to offer. "Cairo you're literally the best person ever." Of course, it seemed he got so excited that he forgot that he had asked him a question first. "Oh, yeah, that would be great let's go in." With that he grabbed his hand, pushing open the pet store entrance to be blasted by its warm air. This was definitely going to be an experience.​

Oh the excitement in his eyes! It seemed as if Jericho was going to be overwhelmed, like he was going to explode right then and there. "I'm not that amazing, bunny." He smirked solemnly, wondering how long they would be there for. "Yeah, you're coming home with your choice of one animal. Only on, though." He wanted to make that clear, as he knew that his little angel would most likely want to leave with the entire store's worth of furry babies. He was being pulled into somewhere where he knew he wouldn't escape from for a while now, which made him say another point. "But please don't take too long. We have, something else to do afterwards." Cairo looked at him, eyed him up and down before smiling. "No worries though, enjoy yourself."
