"No." Was Eli's simple answer. But it did raise an excellent question.

He pondered this. If this was like the movies he saw, then it was a setup. But apparently, life was never like that. "Could it be a mistake? You might have entered it wrong, or you were given the wrong number."

Eli rubbed his nose, again questioning why he was still awake. There were only so many hours in the day.

Ven considered this.

There was some kind of razor theory that was supposed to tell him that the simplest answer was the most likely. This definitely felt like one of those scenarios.

Ven groaned and put his face on the table.

"Ugh I feel like such an idiot," he said. "I'm so sorry to have wasted all your time."

He picked his face back up from the table. Determination shown in his eyes.

"Can I make it up to you in some way?" he asked.

He felt a bit bad at the thug's Realisation. It wasn't his fault he sent it to the wrong person.

"Um, there's nothing wrong with it." He lied. He may want to go back to sleep, but it didn't seem the right thing to say.

"You don't have to do anything," Eli exclaimed, shaking his hands as if to say no.

"There's definitely something wrong with it," Ven said, distraught. He reached into his pocket to produce his phone and pulled up the contacts menu. "I don't even know what your name is."

He held the phone out for the other boy.

"I may not have to do anything now, but I feel bad," Ven said. "Here. If you put your name in, I'll keep your number. And this way if you ever do need something, you can ask, and I can make it up to you."

That makes two of us. He thought to himself. He didn't say it, however. "Eli. Eli Pelham." It was still weird to call himself that. It was the combination of the Writing on his Jumpsuit when he first woke up, and a brand name on a canned meat can.

"I'll try to remember that," Eli added, adding himself to the boy's contacts. This meeting seemed to be coming to a close. "Hopefully you get to meet the person who actually responded to the ad."

"Thanks," Ven said. "And yeah, I hope so, too. I could really use the cash."

He chewed on the inside of his cheek.

Then, he said, "Oh yeah! I'm sorry. My name is Thievenne Paget, but my friends call me Moon Moon. I hope you'll call me Moon Moon, too."

He stood up then and said, "Thanks for your patience with all of this, Eli."

Ven stood up from his chair and was about to depart when he said, "Oh! Yeah! Here, at least keep one of these."

He slid the origami flower across the table to him

"I'll see you around, okay?" Ven said.

ooc; end here? or would you want to do another post?

"Yeah." He blankly answered.

"Moon Moon?" Is he a Goth or Werewolf? From the getup and the Island, Eli couldn't be sure. "Uh, sure then."

"No issue." He picked up the Flower in front of him. Despite the time of day, this didn't turn out too bad. "I'll see you later too."

((OOC: let's end here.))

((OOC pt2: This just seemed like an RPG meeting, with the flower being a key item later in game.))
