This peppy girl made him feel energetic too, like he'd chugged a whole mug of coffee at once. It was, of course, a bit disorienting too, but that was fine. "I like you, Sherry," he told her, nodding. "Your enthusiasm is fantastic. Keep up that chipper attitude and you'll go far. The council is for the people, by the people, so let's have fun and make sure we're all feeling good. I'm glad to have you on the team." He reached out on impulse, smiling in return, to ruffle her hair. She kind of reminded him of his own sister, Gracie, but he wouldn't say that. It would be admitting he liked Gracie, and he didn't want to give the menace any satisfaction.
"It's good you have family to help. I can't really say the same for my siblings, so I envy you." He gave a tiny sigh. He was about to go on, maybe snark a bit where he could get away with it, then he spotted someone approaching them and lit up like a star, shifting back into work mode. He needed to be professional and pleasant. He was fully ready to offer this boy buttons.
On closer inspection, he seemed a tad out of place, younger looking but not in uniform. Maybe a little awkward. New student. Had to be. Logan didn't have to adjust himself to look less threatening, because he had that demeanor naturally. He offered the boy a friendly look and a tiny wave. "Hello there. Are you a recent arrival? I'm Logan, this is Sherry. Is there anything we can help you with?" This could very well get them votes, and it wasn't something unusual for him to have done otherwise. He was a proper, helpful student, after all.
A voice in the back of his head kept nagging him. Something felt off here, something missing with this person. He couldn't place it, and that bothered him. There was a quiet urgency that wasn't present when he looked at him.
